A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 386: Chapter 386: Teaching Him a Lesson So Severe That He Can’t Take Care of Himself

The event happened so suddenly that no one could have anticipated it.

Old Sir Jiang came down from upstairs, and after finding out the whole thing, he was very upset.

First, he scolded the second family, especially Jiang Yutai.

He never really thought much of this second grandson.

Jiang Yutai was unconvinced, ”Grandpa, it was clearly Jiang Jingheng’s fault. He was the one who destroyed my company first and treated me unfairly.”

Old Sir Jiang laughed instead of getting angry, ”So you called him a bastardy dog? Do you even have respect for me, your uncle, or the Jiang Family?”

Even though he was almost eighty this year, the dignity between his eyebrows, honed by years, made him more formidable.

Despite his unwillingness, Jiang Yutai did not dare to retort.

After all, the Jiang Family put great emphasis on family rules and reputation.

Jiang Zhengfeng and Qiu Shuyun immediately apologized to Jiang Zhenghong and Yin Manqing on behalf of their son.

Even though Yin Manqing hated the second family so much it hurt, she couldn’t say anything at this time.

She had endured for so many years, and sooner or later, she would get her revenge!

Once Old Sir Jiang had vented his anger, he immediately ordered the butler: ”Go, call Jing Heng back. Who leaves home during the New Year’s celebration, like a three-year-old child?”

”Yes!” the butler responded.

”Grandpa, let him have some time alone to clear his mind.” A voice suddenly interjected.

Everyone turned toward the voice and saw Jiang Wenhao being carried down by two servants.

Old Sir Jiang looked at Jiang Wenhao with a hint of affection in his eyes.

Among the Jiang Family’s children, this eldest grandson was his favorite. If it weren’t for his leg, he would have planned to hand everything over to him.

His tone was softer than before, ”It’s not time to eat yet. Why are you down here?”

Jiang Wenhao said warmly: ”I heard the commotion from upstairs just now.”

He glanced at the second family, his face slightly darkened, ”Second uncle, second aunt, Yutai, I know you’re unhappy with Jing Heng taking over Shengyuan Group, but honestly, if you were in his position, could you have done better?”

”Wen Hao, you misunderstood us. How could we have that kind of thought?” Jiang Zhengfeng hurriedly said.

”You just haven’t given me a chance.” Jiang Yutai retorted, his neck stiffened.

Jiang Zhengfeng and Qiu Shuyun quickly pulled him aside, signaling him not to blurt nonsense.

”It seems you are dissatisfied with my decision.” Old Sir Jiang’s eyes swept over with a cold gaze.

Jiang Yutai dared not admit it, lowered his head, feeling a chill down his spine.

Old Sir Jiang’s gaze scanned the crowd, and he snorted coldly, ”If I hear this kind of nonsense again, you’ll be kicked out of the Jiang Family!”

The second family was as silent as cicadas in winter, not daring to speak.

But what they couldn’t understand was why Jiang Wenhao liked his half-brother Jiang Jingheng so much.

At Jinxiu Villa, Yu Ma was busy in the kitchen while Mu Yan took Mu Chen outside to play with sparklers.

When they were kids living in the alley, every New Year’s Eve night, the children in the alley would run around with sparklers.

The sporadic sparks tore a hole in the night sky, seeming to reveal the innocent smiles of the children.

Mu Chen held the sissing sparkler in his hand, but he couldn’t run around recklessly like when he was a child.

As he grew older, his health deteriorated, and now even walking caused him to pant.

Sometimes, he really wished he could go back to childhood, when there was him, Dad, Mom, and his sister, those were truly happy times for the four of them.

Mu Yan suddenly thought of something funny and chuckled.

”Sis, what are you laughing about?” Mu Chen asked curiously.

Mu Yan replied, ”I suddenly remembered something from when we were kids. You were so naughty back then, putting a sparkler in Er Dan’s pocket, scaring him so much he wet his pants.”

Mu Chen snorted lightly, ”He was coveting you, that kid was sly, hardly three feet tall and he wanted to marry you, of course I had to teach him a lesson.”

Mu Yan immediately looked at him with starry eyes, ”Good job teaching him a lesson, our Chenchen is so awesome.”

Mu Yan proudly lifted her chin, protecting his sister was something he should do.

”If it were me, I’d beat him until he couldn’t take care of himself.” A cool, male voice came from the darkness.
