A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 349: Chapter 349: Your mouth is so sweet, did you apply honey?

Career struggles and injured self-esteem made Xiao Nan’s face look quite unpleasant.

Mu Yan didn’t come today to hit him while he’s down.

She said in a low voice, ”Actually, you’re not sad because I rejected you. After all, I made my stance clear a long time ago. What really bothers you is that I found a boyfriend much more outstanding than you, and your pride can’t accept that. That’s why you think I prefer the rich over the poor.”

Xiao Nan’s expression slightly changed, and he pressed his lips together, remaining silent.

Mu Yan continued, ”You’ve always seen me as that kind of shallow woman, which shows you didn’t like me that much. You even looked down on my background from the very beginning. So now, who are you putting on this decadent show for?”

She looked at Xiao Nan steadily for a few seconds, took a sip of coffee, grabbed her bag, and stood up.

”You’re indeed not as outstanding as him, but there are many people who aren’t as outstanding as you. You graduated from a prestigious university, have a lucrative position, and a bright future. You possess a life that many people envy. Don’t turn yourself into a joke.”

After she finished speaking, she put on her hat and sunglasses and turned to leave.

Xiao Nan watched her back, forcing a bleak smile.

She might not have realized it herself, but when she mentioned that person, her face lit up.

Isn’t he just turning himself into a joke now?

Emotionally, it was always a one-sided wish from the beginning.

Now, he’s almost messed up his job, and his self-esteem and sense of superiority had long vanished.

Compared to that man, he really falls far behind.

After leaving the café, Mu Yan took a taxi back to the hospital. The first thing she did was look for Director Huang to ask about Xiao Nan’s situation.

Director Huang suggested letting Xiao Nan take a break to reflect, and after a while, he could return to work. He wouldn’t be allowed to lead surgeries for now, and he lost this year’s chances for promotion. However, as long as he performs well later, anything is possible.

Things weren’t as bad as they seemed, which put Mu Yan’s mind at ease.

Since it all started because of her, now she doesn’t need to feel guilty anymore.

In the evening, Jiang Jingheng came to pick her up. Seeing her in a good mood, he asked, ”What’s making you happy?”

”Seeing you makes me happy,” Mu Yan said with a smile.

She felt there was no need to mention Xiao Nan to him. He’s very petty, and if he knew Xiao Nan once liked her and even said some inappropriate things, he’d definitely get upset.

”Your mouth is so sweet, let me taste if it’s coated with honey.” Jiang Jingheng said, leaning in to kiss her.

Mu Yan gently pushed him away, ”Stop it, I’m driving.”

”Okay, I’ll kiss you when we get home.” Jiang Jingheng pecked her on the lips and sat back, focusing on driving.

Once they got home, Jiang Jingheng carried her upstairs right away.

He threw her onto the bed and began to unbutton her clothes.

Mu Yan softly asked, ”What are you doing?”

”I’ve held back for so long, do you want me to continue holding back?” Jiang Jingheng raised an eyebrow at her.

Mu Yan blushed slightly. They hadn’t been intimate since her foot injury.

She whispered, ”You’ve waited this long, why can’t you wait a bit more?”

”I can’t wait any longer.” Jiang Jingheng’s gaze darkened, and he pressed his lips to hers.

Mu Yan didn’t resist. In fact, she enjoyed being close to him.

The second time wasn’t as painful as the first, but Mu Yan still felt a bit uncomfortable at first, gradually getting used to it.

Afterward, Jiang Jingheng held her, kissed her cheek, and asked, ”Are you okay?”

His voice was deep, sexy, and captivating.

”Yes,” Mu Yan replied, wrapping her arms around his waist.

”Then let’s do it again.” As soon as he finished speaking, he flipped over, pinning her beneath him again.

All the words Mu Yan wanted to say were swallowed by his kiss. Her body became the strings of his instrument, moving to his touch.
