A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 321: Chapter 321: You Just Look Down on My Sister

For three whole days, Xiao Nan didn’t go to work.

On the fourth day, as soon as he arrived at the hospital, the director called him over to express concern and then assigned him to be the lead surgeon.

The outcome of this surgery was very important for his title evaluation this year.

However, after the surgery at noon, Xiao Nan was scolded by the director.

”As a doctor, don’t you know that there can’t be any hesitation or negligence on the operating table? Even the slightest mistake can cost a life!”

”I know I made a mistake.”

Director Huang had been mentoring him for a long time and knew his temperament, he said, ”Don’t participate in surgeries for the next two weeks, adjust your mindset, and go on rounds now.”

”Okay.”

Xiao Nan walked out of the office looking defeated, and Zou Ye, who was waiting outside, immediately stepped forward and asked, ”The director didn’t scold you, did he?”

Xiao Nan ignored her and headed towards the inpatient building.

”Xiao Nan, it’s okay, everyone makes mistakes, you can just try again next time.”

”Are you annoying? Just stay away from me!” Xiao Nan growled, feeling like his head was about to explode.

Zou Ye was stunned; it was the first time she had seen him so exasperated.

She knew about his surgical error and his foul mood, so she didn’t dare to provoke him further.

Xiao Nan went on his rounds and happened to visit Mu Chen.

Mu Chen seemed to have lost his memory, refusing to talk about what had happened that day.

Eventually, Xiao Nan couldn’t help but ask, ”Did you agree with your sister and that man’s relationship?”

Mu Chen replied, ”As long as my sister likes him, I don’t have anything to disagree with.”

He might make a fuss in front of his sister, but in front of outsiders, he would definitely defend his sister.

Xiao Nan frowned, ”What do you mean like? Do you think that man can truly care for your sister?”

”Why not?” Mu Chen retorted, ”My sister is so outstanding, isn’t it natural for him to like her?”

Xiao Nan frowned slightly, wanting to point out Mu Chen’s naivety.

He hesitated for a moment and said, ”Don’t you think there’s too much of a gap in their status? He’s not suitable for your sister.”

Mu Chen got upset, ”Brother Xiao Nan, are you looking down on my sister?”

Xiao Nan quickly replied, ”Of course not, I’m just worried your sister might be deceived. Ultimately, your sister shouldn’t be in the entertainment industry; that world is too complicated, and she’s bound to be tempted and make mistakes, you need to pull her back.”

Mu Chen instantly became furious, ”I once wanted to match you with my sister, but I didn’t expect you to see her this way. You say he’s not suitable for my sister, do you think you are?”

Xiao Nan’s expression changed slightly; Mu Chen’s words sounded familiar, leaving him momentarily speechless.

Mu Chen sneered, ”Wealthy people aren’t scary, pretentious hypocrites are terrifying. Get out, I don’t want to see you.”

Now he understood why his sister had told him to stay away from Xiao Nan.

He didn’t expect Xiao Nan to be so biased and narrow-minded.

If his sister were to associate with someone like him, it would be like falling into a pit of fire.

Xiao Nan didn’t expect Mu Chen to turn so quickly; he wanted to explain, but a male nurse came in and dragged him out.

”Doctor Xiao, Mu Chen’s not feeling well, please leave.”

Xiao Nan felt a surge of anger and couldn’t help saying, ”You’ll regret this!”

He left after saying that.

Mu Chen watched his departing figure, chest heaving with anger, and the nurse immediately offered him medicine.

After taking the medicine, he felt he must inform his sister about this, so she could see Xiao Nan’s true nature.

At the film set during a break, Mu Yan received Mu Chen’s call.

After listening to him, she softly said, ”I know, don’t worry too much.”

There’s a saying that if you can’t be lovers, then it’s best not to be friends either.

Ever since she turned down his confession, they should have drawn a line.
