A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 317: Chapter 317: Riding the Hype!

On the way, Mu Yan watched the final episode of ”Voice of Dreams” that had just aired.

To her surprise, the champion was Li Xinyue, not Qian Ke.

However, she thought as long as Li Xinyue maintained a steady mindset, her singing was quite pleasant.

Song Cheng’an heard the sound and knew what she was watching, he said, ”That Li Xinyue is quite popular recently, but you should be careful.”

”Why do you say that?”

”I’m afraid she’ll ride on your popularity.”

”No way, right?” Mu Yan hesitated a bit.

”Actually, she already has. After the competition, during a media interview, she said that in her opinion, you should’ve been the champion, calling you the uncrowned king. Just that statement kept her in the trending news for several days; your fans all thought you had a good relationship with her.”

”How come I didn’t know about this?” Mu Yan was somewhat surprised.

”At that time, you were unconscious due to an allergy.”

Mu Yan checked the broadcast date of the program, indeed it was.

At five in the afternoon, Mu Yan arrived at the film city.

Her phone had just powered on when she saw the message from Ning Shishen, sent at two in the afternoon.

At that time, she was on the plane, with her phone turned off.

He said the customized tie clip she ordered was ready.

Mu Yan immediately called him, and the call was quickly answered.

”Mr. Ning, sorry, I was on a plane earlier, so my phone was off.”

”You’re out of town?” he asked, somewhat surprised.

”Yes, I’m out of town for a film shoot. I’ll give you an address, you can send the item there.”

”Send it to Jing Heng, then it won’t be a surprise for him, right?”

Mu Yan realized, tapping her forehead, oh, that seems to be the case.

”Then keep it on your side first, I’ll come to get it when I return.”

”Okay.”

”Thank you.” Mu Yan thanked him several times before hanging up.

Song Cheng’an glanced at her, ”You have a good relationship with Ning Shishen?”

”It’s okay, asked him for help with something.” Mu Yan replied.

She didn’t intend to tell Song Cheng’an about their conversation, otherwise, he would definitely tell Jiang Jingheng, and there would be no surprise.

But since someone lied to her like that, it might be better not to give the gift after all.

Song Cheng’an looked at Mu Yan, ”Boss Ning doesn’t just help anyone, I think he has feelings for you?”

”Huh?” Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, ”No way.”

Song Cheng’an chuckled, ”Why not? Jing Heng likes you, so it’s not surprising to have Ning Shishen like you as well.”

Mu Yan furrowed her brows slightly, it would be better to keep some distance from Ning Shishen in the future.

”Alright, I was just speaking casually, don’t mind it, Boss Ning has already got a fiancée.” Although no one seems to know where that fiancée is.

Mu Yan felt relief, that’s good.

When they arrived at the hotel, Mu Yan received a WeChat message from Jiang Jingheng, asking if she had arrived.

She was still mad at him, so she deliberately didn’t reply to annoy him.

After resting for a night, Mu Yan went to the set the next day.

She first greeted the director, Zeng Yao, along with Song Cheng’an, and happened to run into popular starlet Xu Youxi.

She was the other female lead in ”Immortal Fate,” the official match with the male lead.

The two of them exchanged glances, Mu Yan was about to greet her, but Xu Youxi glanced at her and walked away.

Mu Yan didn’t mind, as she turned around, she saw a familiar face walking over.

He Jianzhou looked at her, smiled lightly, appearing harmless, ”Mu Yan, long time no see, I’m really lucky to be filming with you again.”

Mu Yan looked at his smiling face, inexplicably feeling a chill.

Always felt that he had ulterior motives.

”Long time no see.” She responded perfunctorily and left together with Song Cheng’an.

He Jianzhou watched her back and chuckled, did she really think she could avoid him?
