A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 268: Chapter 268: What Does It Have to Do with Him!

On the phone, Qin Xi sobbed, ”Mu Yan, do you think all relationships can’t withstand the seven-year itch?”

Judging by the sound, she must have been drinking.

Mu Yan felt a sinking feeling in her heart and asked, ”What’s going on?”

”I saw flirtatious texts on his phone with another girl, I don’t know what to do!”

Mu Yan remembered the scene she witnessed at the IOC party last time and hurriedly asked, ”Where are you now? I’ll come to find you.”

”I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have told you this, you’re already troubled enough. Don’t worry about me, I want to be alone.”

”Qin Xi, tell me, where are you?” Mu Yan had just finished speaking when the call was disconnected.

She immediately dialed back, first it was rejected, and then the phone was directly shut off.

Mu Yan’s heart sank to the bottom; she looked at Jiang Jingheng, ”Qin Xi has a problem with her boyfriend, she’s drunk now, and her phone is off. I can’t reach her, what should I do?”

Seeing her frantic expression, Jiang Jingheng sat up and said, ”Turning off her phone means she wants to calm down.”

”But she’s drunk, I’m worried something might happen to her.”

”She’s an adult, she should take responsibility for her own actions.”

Mu Yan wasn’t very satisfied with his response, ignored him, and called Qin Xi’s agent.

In fact, if it weren’t for worrying Mu Yan might be concerned, Jiang Jingheng wouldn’t have bothered to say anything at all.

Thinking of the interrupted incident just now, a shadow flickered in his eyes.

Mu Yan hung up the call, still feeling a bit uneasy.

Qin Xi likes Lu Zhaoming so much; the deeper the love, the deeper the hurt.

”Don’t overthink it, sleep now.” Jiang Jingheng suddenly said.

Mu Yan slightly furrowed her brows, ”I can’t sleep.”

Jiang Jingheng’s eyes with an alluring gaze raised playfully, ”Then why not continue what we didn’t finish earlier?”

Thinking of the scene just now, Mu Yan’s cheeks warmed.

She glanced down at her nightgown; several buttons had been ripped open, leaving her chest partially exposed.

She quickly turned around and rebuttoned them.

Jiang Jingheng’s lips curled, ”It’s not like I haven’t seen it before, what’s there to hide.”

Mu Yan glared back at him, ”Sleep!”

She pulled the blanket over herself.

Jiang Jingheng chuckled and got up to head to the bathroom.

Not long after, he came out wrapped in a towel.

Mu Yan dared not look at his body and quickly shut her eyes, asking, ”Why are you showering again?”

”You tell me?” Someone’s tone carried a hint of grievance.

Mu Yan understood his meaning, her face flushed, and she didn’t respond.

Soon, she felt the spot beside her sink, and the next moment she was pulled into someone’s embrace.

She whispered, ”Don’t mess around.”

”Be good, I won’t do anything.” His deep voice came through.

Mu Yan closed her eyes, but she couldn’t fall asleep, her mind filled with thoughts of Qin Xi.

In the bar, Qin Xi tossed her phone aside and drank cup after cup.

The more she drank, the worse she felt; the worse she felt, the more she wanted to drink, as if this was the only way to forget the pain of betrayal.

Someone had long noticed her and, seeing she’d had enough to drink, came over to chat her up.

”Isn’t this Miss Qin Xi? Interested in having a few drinks?”

Ning Ze came out of the private room with friends and saw Qin Xi sitting at the bar.

”Isn’t that my sister-in-law’s friend?”

”What sister-in-law? Isn’t that singer Qin Xi?” a buddy beside him asked.

”It’s none of your business, stop prying.” Ning Ze said impatiently.

The person next to him rubbed his nose, changed the topic, ”That Dou Chengcai is actually trying to hook up with Qin Xi, doesn’t even see his ugly face, but I see Qin Xi drank quite a lot, this guy might just succeed.”

Ning Ze snorted lightly, it’s none of his damn business!
