A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: I Need Justice!

Li Shangjia ordered takeout not long ago, but now she can’t eat it at all.

The doorbell kept ringing.

Annoyed, she scratched her head and got up to open the door.

As soon as the door opened, she yelled, ”So loud, wait a moment...” Before she could finish saying ”moment,” she saw several tall men in black suits standing in front of her.

Realizing something was wrong, she immediately tried to close the door.

Unfortunately, the men moved swiftly and pushed the door open.

”Y-you, what do you want? Did you come to the wrong person? I don’t know you...” Li Shangjia looked at them warily.

The leader gave her a cold glance, waved his hand, and the people behind him immediately held her down.

Li Shangjia struggled, but she was no match for these men.

A deep unease arose in her heart; recently, the only people she had offended were Mu Yan and Ning Shishen.

Are these people Ning Shishen’s guys?

Is he here to stand up for Mu Yan?

In no time, she made a quick calculation in her mind and hurriedly said, ”It wasn’t me, the real person targeting Mu Yan isn’t me, it’s Zhou Lifen, you should look for her, she’s the one pulling strings behind the scenes, otherwise how would I have the ability to stir up the media. Spare me, I know I was wrong, I won’t dare again.”

In the UK, in a certain conference hall.

Jiang Jingheng was in a meeting when he suddenly received a call.

He directly answered the phone and said coldly, ”What’s the matter?”

”Her?” Jiang Jingheng tapped lightly on the table with his fingers, his slightly squinted eyes showing a hint of amusement, ”Keep the person controlled, the rest will be discussed when I return.”

He hung up the phone and cast a cold gaze over the people below, ”Continue.”

On the island, Zhou Lifen was sunbathing, holding her phone and watching the situation tilt towards Mu Yan, her face turning green with anger.

She originally thought the plagiarism incident would ruin Mu Yan’s reputation, but things had taken a sharp turn.

Now, with the added label of genius designer, who knows how much Mu Yan’s popularity will soar again.

The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt, and she got up to go back to the hotel.

”Lifei, where are you going?” Chen Fang called out.

”Leave me alone!”

Chen Fang watched her back, recalling the news he just saw, feeling a sense of helplessness.

Lifei isn’t without talent, but she lacks magnanimity and tends to focus too narrowly.

But by targeting Mu Yan like that, didn’t Mu Yan become popular after all?

As the saying goes, ’gold shines wherever it’s placed.’

He had seen Mu Yan’s recent plays and had a premonition that her future was limitless.

As for Lifei, he hoped this trip would help her calm down and focus on work.

The plagiarism scandal stirred up quite the ruckus online, yet Mu Yan hadn’t spoken out at all.

In the villa, Mu Yan sat on the sofa, talking on the phone with Zhao Xiyue.

On the call, Zhao Xiyue was indignant, angrily cursing Li Shangjia and the others.

Mu Yan looked calm, ”Alright, don’t be angry.”

”Oh my God, Mu Yan, don’t tell me you’re going to forgive them, are you crazy!”

”No, I just think it’s unnecessary to waste feelings on them. You’re busy with filming, so don’t worry about me.”

”No matter what, you definitely can’t let this slide. If there’s anything you need from me, just let me know.”

Mu Yan was deeply moved; ever since the plagiarism incident broke out, Zhao Xiyue, Qin Xi, and others steadfastly believed in her.

Why is there such a difference between people? Back then, she also considered Cen Juan and Jiang Yuan as friends.

”Okay.” She responded softly and hung up the phone.

Song Cheng’an came over and asked, ”How do you plan to handle this matter?”

The whole day, his phone had been ringing non-stop, almost exploding with inquiries about Mu Yan’s stance.

In fact, he also didn’t know her thoughts.

Mu Yan looked at him, her gaze firm, ”I want to hold a press conference, firstly to clarify the rumors about Ning Shishen and me, and also, I need justice!”

A justice delayed for four years!

Song Cheng’an nodded, ”Alright, I’ll arrange it.”
