A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 97: Chapter 97 Air Accident!

The final scene was filmed on the city wall, where Princess Qingcheng accused Dragon Soaring of treason, broke all ties with him, and jumped off the tower to die for her country.

The wires had already been checked, and Mu Yan had filmed such scenes before, so she wasn’t too nervous.

On the city wall, the princess wore a red dress, her black hair cascading like a waterfall down her back.

Below the tower, a vast army awaited the signal to attack, led by Dragon Soaring in full battle armor.

Dragon Soaring tried to persuade the defending Princess Qingcheng to surrender, but the princess vowed not to yield unto death.

The princess knew the situation was hopeless and climbed onto the tower, asking him, ”Dragon Soaring, have you ever loved me?”

Dragon Soaring hurriedly replied, ”I love you, Chuchu, come down, don’t do anything foolish.”

The princess suddenly smiled, ”You love me, but you love the kingdom more. Just as I love you, but I love my royal dignity even more.”

She lifted her head, looking at the sky, and let out a soft sigh, ”It’s better this way. Without me, you can go further. Consider it my final gift to you, but, Dragon Soaring, I curse you, that you will never attain what your heart truly desires.”

The princess looked resolutely at Dragon Soaring below the tower and leapt into the air.

”No!” Dragon Soaring roared, flying up to catch her, but missed by a hair.

The princess spread her arms wide, her expression one of release, with a satisfied smile on her face.

The fall wasn’t fast, so Mu Yan wasn’t too worried.

Suddenly, an urgent voice exclaimed from above, ”Oh no, there’s a problem with the props.”

Mu Yan’s eyes flew open, staring at the rapidly approaching ground, and suddenly she heard a snapping sound from behind her; the next moment she was falling rapidly.

The wire snapped, and she plummeted from mid-air.

Everyone on site was shocked by this sudden turn of events and immediately sprang to their feet.

No one noticed that at the moment of impact, someone sprinted directly from the monitors.

But an unexpected scene unfolded; in mid-air, the red figure flipped, landing feet-first and then collapsing down onto the ground.

Li Yushen, who was closest, hurried over to check on her, asking, ”Mu Yan, are you okay?”

Mu Yan felt her calves were a bit weak, but she looked at Li Yushen and smiled, ”I’m fine, just a scare.”

She stood up on her own and bent down to massage her calf.

Li Yushen saw that although her face was somewhat pale, she was moving without issue, and he relaxed.

He let out a breath, ”You really scared us there.”

Mu Yan looked at him and apologized, ”I’m sorry.”

The incident happened so suddenly, it had scared her too.

”It’s not your fault; the props team should be the ones apologizing.” Li Yushen’s face darkened, thinking how, if it weren’t for Mu Yan’s luck, something serious might have happened today.

Mu Yan wanted to say it was just an accident when a deep male voice interrupted.

”Are you hurt anywhere?”

She turned her head to see Jiang Jingheng approaching, his handsome face stormy as if about to drip ink, his light brown eyes were extraordinarily deep, and his concern was unmistakable.

Her heart suddenly raced, and she instinctively shook her head, ”I’m fine.”

Jiang Jingheng stood before her, frowning and saying, ”Falling from such a height and you’re fine? Listen to me, go to the hospital!”

Seeing his adamant stance, Mu Yan quickly said, ”Really, I’m fine. I landed on my feet first, and I can jump around just fine now.”

Afraid he wouldn’t believe her, she demonstrated right away.

Her legs were sore and swollen from the impact; the instant she landed, her leg buckled, and she started to fall toward the ground.

Amid her panic, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist, hoisting her up.

In her ear, his chastising voice said, ”And you say you’re fine!”
