A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Jealousy

Jiang Jingheng cautiously held the ice pack near her face.

Mu Yan couldn’t help but cry out in pain, ”Hiss...”

”Does it hurt a lot?” Jiang Jingheng frowned.

”No.” Mu Yan said softly.

”You’ll get used to it.” Jiang Jingheng continued to apply the ice pack to her face.

Mu Yan looked at the gentle and thoughtful man in front of her and suddenly said, ”Thank you.”

”Hmm?” Jiang Jingheng glanced at her.

”Thank you for standing up for me.” Mu Yan replied.

Jiang Jingheng’s face slightly darkened, ”She’s ill-intentioned, and you just stood there letting her hit you?”

”What else could I do? We were filming at the time, should I have hit her back?” Mu Yan laughed.

If it were in private, she definitely wouldn’t have let Wu Shi Yi off.

Wu Shi Yi probably chose such a moment on purpose, knowing Mu Yan couldn’t retaliate.

”Seems like I’m still somewhat useful.” Jiang Jingheng’s lips curled up slightly.

Mu Yan pursed her lips, indeed he was.

She looked at the man in front of her; his features were exquisite, his skin impeccably fair and smooth. Such good looks were truly wasted.

”Do you two have a grudge?” Jiang Jingheng asked again.

Mu Yan snapped out of her thoughts, suppressed the strange feeling inside her, and replied, ”Not really, I have a grudge with Zhou Lifen, and she’s taking orders from Zhou Lifen, so she deliberately made things difficult for me.”

She looked at Jiang Jingheng and smiled, ”I really felt so relieved when I saw Zhou Lifen hit her just now.”

Honestly, only Jiang Jingheng could have done this.

Jiang Jingheng’s eyes darkened slightly, ”Next time, let you do it yourself.”

”Hmm?” Mu Yan looked at him in surprise.

Jiang Jingheng said nothing.

Before long, the doctor arrived, and after she got an injection, Mu Yan fell asleep.

Jiang Jingheng left the room and returned to his own.

In the afternoon, Song Cheng’an hurried over.

Seeing the swollen side of Mu Yan’s face, he was also terribly annoyed.

It seemed he was too careless, thinking that knowing Director Li would keep Mu Yan safe on set.

He stepped forward to apologize to Jiang Jingheng, ”This was my failing.”

Jiang Jingheng said coldly, ”No need to apologize, just make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

”Hmm.”

After resting for a night, the next day Mu Yan went back to the set, but Wu Shi Yi had taken leave.

In the morning, they filmed her scenes with Liu Minghao.

Song Ziran pushed open the door and anxiously asked, ”Qiu Ci, are you okay?”

Shen Qiuci cried softly, not saying a word.

The maid beside her said, ”Young Master Song, your second wife was too fierce, she came and hit our lady, her face is all swollen.”

Song Ziran looked at Shen Qiuci’s red and swollen face and apologized, ”I’m sorry, Qiu Ci.”

Shen Qiuci looked at him and cried, asking, ”When will you finally buy my freedom?”

Song Ziran knew she had been wronged, and stepped forward to hold her in his arms, ”I’m sorry, I’ll go talk to Mrs. Zhou later and tell her you’re mine.”

Jiang Jingheng came to visit the set, and as soon as he walked in, he saw Mu Yan being held in another man’s arms, and his handsome face instantly turned dark.

Why didn’t anyone tell him there were hugging scenes besides the bed scenes?

Director Li shouted, ”Cut, take a break, prepare for the next scene.”

Liu Minghao released Mu Yan and suddenly felt a cold gaze fall upon him, making his spine tingle.

He instinctively looked over and saw Jiang Jingheng’s sullen face.

Mu Yan also noticed Jiang Jingheng and was puzzled, why was he here?

Liu Minghao looked at Mu Yan and suddenly understood why Wu Shi Yi got beaten up yesterday.

”Is he your boyfriend?”

Mu Yan was startled for a moment, then shook her head, ”No.”

Liu Minghao frowned, ”Sponsor?”

Mu Yan, ”...”

Could he be any more ridiculous?

Liu Minghao continued, ”Your husband?”

Mu Yan, ”...”

He actually guessed right.

Liu Minghao read Mu Yan’s expression and was a bit surprised, ”So young and already...”

”It’s not what you think.” Mu Yan quickly said.

”You really do need someone to take care of you.” Liu Minghao smiled and walked off.

Mu Yan, ”...”

Does he have an overactive imagination or what?
