A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Not Taking the Bait

By evening, Mu Yan learned that the bed scene had been cut.

The lights go out, and then it’s morning.

Mu Yan breathed a sigh of relief; she was most afraid of filming such scenes.

However, Zhou Lifen was a bit unwilling and went to find the director.

”Director Li, why was the bed scene cut just like that?”

Director Li glanced at her and said forcefully, ”Do I need to explain to you?”

Zhou Lifen’s face turned a bit ugly, ”I don’t think it’s necessary to cut it; this will reduce the highlights of our film.”

”The broadcasting authority now explicitly prohibits scenes with sexual content. Our highlight is the plot, not the bed scene,” Director Li said in a deep voice.

Zhou Lifen knew it was impossible to change, holding back her anger inside.

Just like that, that little bitch escaped.

After shooting a few night scenes, they called it a day.

When Mu Yan returned to the hotel, she saw a note on the table; Jiang Jingheng had returned to Upper City.

She sat on the bed, looking at the neat handwriting on the note, and suddenly felt a bit reluctant in her heart.

Although they hadn’t spent much time together, she already considered him a friend.

Although the entire film still had a small portion to shoot, Mu Yan’s scenes weren’t many and were quite scattered.

Director Li’s plan was to finish her scenes first, as her remaining parts weren’t complicated.

In the morning scene, Mu Yan had several NGs.

Because—Zhou Lifen was overwhelming her in the scene.

Only at this time could Mu Yan clearly see the difference between her and Zhou Lifen.

After all, this was just her first movie.

And Zhou Lifen had been acting for nearly ten years, superior to her in both experience and acting skills.

Director Li saw Mu Yan was a bit tired and said, ”Mu Yan, come here.”

”Okay.” Mu Yan walked over.

Director Li looked at her, ”What’s going on?”

Mu Yan looked at him, ”I feel disconnected from the character.”

”Were you overwhelmed in the scene?” Director Li spoke directly.

Mu Yan nodded.

Director Li said straightforwardly, ”Don’t project personal emotions. You are Shen Qiuci, not Mu Yan. You can’t tolerate deceit. You hate Yu Suwei, and you want to infuriate her. Don’t be nervous, you can do it.”

Mu Yan knew Director Li was guiding her and nodded, ”I understand.”

She rested for a while and entered the scene.

Zhou Lifen looked at her, smirking, ”I thought you were so capable. You’ve NGed several times, really wasting the crew’s time.”

Mu Yan looked at her, ”Sister Zhou, please guide me.”

Zhou Lifen sneered coldly, ”Trying a few times won’t make any difference.”

Director Li called for the scene to start.

Shen Qiuci raised her hand to stroke her belly, looking down haughtily at Yu Suwei, ”I know you’re jealous of me. Who told you to never conceive, yet I did.”

Yu Suwei’s expression was indifferent, ”Since you know it’s hard to conceive, you should take good care of your pregnancy.”

Shen Qiuci laughed scornfully, ”Of course, I’ll take good care of it. Once I give birth to a son, he’ll be the heir of the Song Family. No matter how capable you are, won’t you still have to give everything of the Shen Family to my son?”

Yu Suwei looked at her, and her hand suddenly landed on her belly, ”What do you think would happen if I accidentally pushed you, and you miscarried?”

Shen Qiuci’s eyes showed a hint of fear. She instinctively covered her belly, trembling, ”You dare!”

”You can try!” Yu Suwei took a step forward menacingly.

Shen Qiuci immediately stepped back with a wary look on her face, ”Don’t be so smug. The person Zhiran loves is me. He won’t let you bully me.”

”Is that so?” Yu Suwei looked at her, ”How do you know you’re not just a tool for reproduction?”

Shen Qiuci glared at her, turned around, and left, her face showing a mix of shame, anger, and resentment.

”Cut, that’s a pass!” Director Li called out.

Zhou Lifen was full of rage; she actually passed. That little bitch got smarter, avoiding all her traps.

Of course, what made her even more furious was yet to come.
