Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

Exactly at 12.30 lunch arrived in a small bus and a table was set up nearby serving the dishes.

The workers lined up to claim their meals.

Yue and Fan Xui also did so.. the food that was served was very simple. It was plain broth chicken noodle soup with a lot of sautéed veggies as a side.

Everyone could eat as much as they wanted and the old general even allowed the workers to take some back home for the family members.

Zou Yue took a sip of the soup. The flavor of well-cooked chicken and shrimp melted in his mouth. ”It’s pretty good.”

Fan Xui gently wiped the corner of his mouth with a clean cloth. ”it’s good. We have veggies. It’s hard to find them later on.”

”Later on? We can always grow more,”

Shaking his head, Fan Xui smiled sadly. ”not that much... the plants have gone through a change as of now. Most of them will be inedible,”

His wordings seemed like he knew what he was talking about. That got him brooding. ”How do you even know that?”

Fan Xui shrugged. ”I just do.... so eat up,” he handed him his bowl full of veggies.

”I already have mine. Eat yours,” he gave it back to him. With a confused mind, he finished his noodles. Fan Xui’s words and wisdom seemed precedent to that of others.

Not only was he able to analyse things precisely, he could also predict the situation to a level.

’How though... a normal person can’t think of all this stuff. They would still be in denial and think that it would be impossible,’

He observed Fan Xui’s small action. From the way he held his spoon, to the way he confidentially walked. Everything was different from the person he knew before.

There is a fact that Fan Xui forgot everything but memory does not change people’s habits.

The old Fan Xui always would tap his finger down when he was nervous, and he would always walk in a straight line with his walking stick slightly dragging on the ground.

One cannot just wake up from a coma forgetting everything they have been doing all their lives.

’It’s not possible at all....’

’It’s like he is not the same person at all

”What is it?” Fan Xui gently tapped his forehead.

”Nothing...” blinking awake, Yue gulped down the warm soup along with the small noodle pieces that had sunk to the bottom. As for the side dish, he packed it up in the reusable box he carried in his bag.

His eyes lingered on the taller man with an unknown feeling at heart.

’I might be wrong.. I need to observe him more....’

As he was packing his stuff up, he caught the sight of the two young girls. They fixed their gazes on his face with a deep glare.

”What’s with them?”

”You face,” Fan handed the mask he had removed. ”Your face is too beautiful. They envy it,”

Those sweet words were enough to appease his anger. Smiling widely, Yue wore his mask.

A shadow fell over him, hiding the bright sun. Bohai stood over him with a bright smile.

”Uncle Bohai, aren’t you going to eat?”

”Nah, I’ve already packed some. I’ll… I’ll just go home and eat.” He plopped down next to him, sighing. ”Yue... is it... never mind…” he stood up halfway.

Yue held his hand. ”What is it?”

”Is it really necessary to do a cremation? I our culture does not allow that. It’s.. considered a sin,” he mumbled ever so softly.

”It has to be so.... I’m sorry.. the virus is too contagious. If we bury our dead, it will contaminate our soil.” he gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.

Bohai sat back, glancing up at the sky with tears in his eyes. ”The virus just fluttered down on us like snow.... isn’t the land already corrupted?”

”Only the top layer is. We can replace the soil and cultivate with no trouble. And our scientists are trying their best to find a way to solve the water pollution as well.”

Bohai did not seem reassured. He sullenly glanced last at the walls at the twenty or so zombies which were trying to come at them. ”It’s not fair... it’s not fair at all...”

Yue knew that words could not console him anymore. He just half hugged him letting him shed his silent tears.

”Chop-chop, this is no place for romance.” The old general jokingly shouted at them.

”Geez, I was consoling him!” Yue shouted back.

The general laughed and gestured that it was fine.

”Yeah, who knows? You might even spread your legs to console him right..” a silent jab came at him.

Shocked, Yue glanced back to see the two girls giggling at him with sharp glares.

”What did you both say?” Fan Xui stood up with a cold look on his face.

The girl’s eyes suddenly shone, looking up at him. ”oppa its the truth. She is a slut. Look how she is getting together with another man right in front of you,”

”What!” Fan Xui throttled forward.

Yue held him back with a small smile. ”Just sit down. Let’s not cause any trouble,”

”You don’t have the right to touch him, slut. Just go shove your face on some other dirty beggar. Maybe he might pay you graciously. Che so shameless,”

That was the last string. Yue lost his cool completely. He pushed Fan down, cracking his knuckles.

”Oh my god, I can’t believe I’m being bitched at. I can’t deal with this..” he pulled down the zipper of his hoodie and exposed his sword hilt. ”If you don’t want to be cut, shut the hell up. I’m not in the mood to chop a human,”

”Hump, toy swords can’t scare us. Look at her face acting all innocent, but inside she is just nasty,” one of them whispered snarkily.

Yue sighed. ”You know something, Fan. Sometimes my sister is right. Only sheer power display can solve this problem.” he dusted his hands. ”I can hurt them, right? I have been slandered. It’s natural that I want justice..”

”Only killing is banned,” Fan Xui said fanned the flame of his fury.

Yue looked at his code face with a bright smile. ”Just don’t kill? Got it. Don’t lose that smile darling,” he tapped his chin and walked closer to the girls.

They both stiffed up noticeably.

He sat down, picking a brick nearby. ”you know what happens to a dog that doesn’t stop screaming?” he gripped the brick tightly, smashing it into pieces. ”They get kicked.”

The girls flinched back, holding each other’s hands.

”Tell me, do you want to be kicked? Or will you shut your dog mouth?”

Like two little bobble heads, they nodded vigorously.

”Good girls, oh and do your job properly. Because of your negligence, me and my lover had to do double the amount of work. That isn’t fair, is it? If you don’t pick your shit up and do your fucking work, I will smash your pretty faces in, got it?”

”G-got it....” one of them whispered.

”Awesome..” He walked back calmly and sat down. ”Sometimes my sister’s method works flawlessly,”
