Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse [BL]

That day Fan Xui had to leave the lab because Qian’s work assistant could not keep anything straight. She kept breaking so many beakers until Qian banned her from the lab.

Standing out the door, Fan Xui looked at her stiff posture. ”Your eyes... were they always that blue?”

She simply peered deep into his eyes and, without a word, walked past him.

’Weird...’ was the only thought retained in his mind that day. ***

Thinking about that day, regret filled his being.

He could not hold back his tears. ’If only I had noticed the signs. If only i had been vigil that fateful accident would not have happened. Qian would have been alive.....’

***Later that day he was working through the documents about rationing. The new wheat variant had been a success that many other surviving settlements wanted a hand on it.

He did send them samples for free, but somehow the samples did not seem to flourish as it did here in G city.

”FAN! I DID IT!!!” Qian burst through the door. ”I DID IT!!!!!” he screamed, holding a small sealed test tube in hand.

Fan Xui stiffly stood up. ”Is that?...”

”THE CURE!!!! We did it Fan ah! We did it!” Qian pulled him into a tight hug. ”We did it,”

”You did it,” he chuckled and patted his friend’s back.

Suddenly he spotted the small black-haired woman near the doorway. She openly walked into his study with her head lowered.

”Tia, what are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you clean up the lab? For goodnes’s sake....” his friend completely fed up flustered at that girls’ sight. He went to her but all of a sudden the girl’s body started to burn with bright blue flames gushing out.

”You did it! you all killed him! DIE!!!” she screamed and exploded.

Fan Xui tightly closed his eyes. Even now he could remember that blue ember eating away his flesh. It felt so gruesome and painful.

But the screams... it was Qian’s screams that made his heart ache.

’I will avenge him... I will.... but... I need to get out first... I need to get up...’

He wiggled his toes. His body could not function more than this. It was not damaged in any way, but it felt sore and tired.

’did a healer work on me? If not why don’t I have my burn marks?’

After trying for a while, he only got his fingers to wiggle and his toes to move.

It was progress.

The sooner he left this place, the better it was for the settlement as well as for him. The racket was making him go insane.

’It’s just a siren....just a siren,’ he mentally chatted with his eyes closed tight.

Right then, the doors to his ward opened and someone rushed in. He could not see from his angle into the welcoming area through the glass partition. he spotted long black hair that was tussled in the wind flaying around everywhere.

’They are here already... this person must be sent to kill me.’ he keenly listened to those hushed footsteps. His vigil increased, but still he laid still as if he was unconscious.

The fact remained that he could not move a lot but.. if worse comes to worse he could easily shock this intruder into a crisp.

That person softly closed the door and barricaded it with a marble counter from the corner of the room.

Fan Xui frowned deeply. ’Here it comes....’ he waited, but that person seemed to have their ear to the door.

’What is going on?’

He closed his eyes and listed. His enhanced body allowed him to hear at least a few kilometres away.

But.... he couldn’t do it now.

He tried activating his thunder and electric energy but he was only able to summon a small string sized power. It was just as it was when he initially got his ability.

’What have they done to me? Did they suck it out?’

Loud thudding footsteps resounded in the corridor, passing by the door.

’twenty... fifty... shit a few hundred... a few hundred zombies or humans? Was the settlement infiltrated?! What are they doing?! Shit... I not only have to deal with this person, now I have to fight off zombies....’

He was tired and restless.

After the footsteps outside passed by, that person slowly crept into his ward.

”Oh, my god! Oh, my god!” a high-pitched voice came out.

’a girl? Might be...’ Fan Xui did not give himself away by opening his eyes. He wanted to see what this person could do. ’Will it be poison or a dagger to the heart? Oh the classics, will she cut the oxygen supply?’

He had to admit watching too many soap operas during these ten years made him a little dramatic. Plus, his friend had a bit of influence as well.

A gentle palm touched her cheeks. ”You were alive... thank god.. thank god....” she whispered, leaning closer.

Fan Xui stiffened up. This unusual closeness only made him super vigilant of this person.

”Why did this happen, Fan? Why... is it because of me? Did I cause a butterfly effect that ended up hurting you...” the girl sobbed earnestly.

Feeling the warm tears dripping onto his face, Fan Xui was slightly surprised. ’Why is she crying? Is this a new tactic? Honey trap?’

”I’m so sorry... I’m so sorry...” she cried. ”I’ll get you out of here, just a bit yes. I can find a person with healing ability.. they must exist somewhere... I will find them and wake you up, okay. Don’t give up hope.”

At this point, Fan Xui was more than curious as to who this person was. He slightly opened his eyes. the ward he was in was dark. Only the light from the huge window at the welcoming area was illuminating this room.

He saw the young girl sobbing earnestly with tears dripping down her limpid eyes.

’she.. she.... no way... she looks like HER!’

The uncontrolled rage he was holding in burst out. Adrenalin burst through and he pushed her down, gripping her neck tightly.

”aghh.. what... Fan...” she whispered, gasping for air.

Gritting his teeth, Fan Xui tightened his grip. ’If my body wasn’t so weak I would have snapped her head off....’

”x-Xui....” she gasped, looking up at him. Her soft hands gently caressed his face. ”you are.... awake....” she smiled softly.

Fan Xui froze. That smile was not malicious, cruel, nor with any hidden intent.

It was that of relief.

His grip on her delicate neck loosed a bit.

”ahhh.....” she panted softly with tears in her eyes. ”You are awake.. I thought I would have to carry you out of here....” she giggled.

’Why is she acting so different? Wasn’t she the one who was malicious? Wasn’t she the one who killed my friend in cold blood? Why is she... so nice? This is definitely a trap. I have to kill her now..’

While she was yapping on and on, he gripped her neck.

”Ow, this is not fun Fan,” she whispered wiggling around under him. ”Oh, I think my leg is caught up on something... can you let go? I can just untangle myself...” she said, moving her legs a bit.

All of a sudden, a terrible pain hit him in the crotch.

”Aghhh!!!”

He was not even able to hold himself up anymore. He collapsed on top of her, moaning and groaning in pain.

”What is it? Oh my god is something wrong? Are you in pain?” she looked at him all panicked.

Fan Xui just silently closed his eyes in complete agony. ”....”

”Wait, I’ll check up on you.” she moved.

Once again, that piercing pain pulled at his crotch. ”Stop it!!”

”But..... I’m not doing anything,” she innocently blinked at him. Her movement froze as she peered into his eyes. ”Can you see now? Oh my god, can you see me Fan?”

Fan Xui looked away from those shimmering eyes as they reminded him so much of a certain stalker. ”No,”

”Oh..” she sounded disappointed. ”It’s okay. I’m here. I’ll protect you from those zombies,”

Looking at her earnest Fan’s killing intent went down significantly. ’if she is here to seduce me might as well get information from her.’

”When was this place infiltrated?” he whispered, lying on top of her tiredly. His legs and hands refused to move any longer. The strength he had mustered disappeared all together.

”J-just a while ago...”

He heard her heart start to pound loudly.

’This is it...she is going to stab me at my weakest. I could have easily killed her, but why didn’t I? Why is that?’

He had a fair share of killing zombies and humans, but this one... he could not figure out her clear motive. Is it because of that he showed pity?

”C-can you move please...”

’If I could I would have,’ he thought to himself gritting his teeth.

”You can’t move?” she worriedly caressed his face. ”Why? Are you hurt? Did those things bite you?”

Seeing the worry in her eyes he was almost tempted him to keep looking, but he gritted his teeth and looked away. ’No, you can’t show weakness. This woman is a cold-hearted killer. She killed my friend!’

’The moment I regain my strength I will kill her!’

With this firm resolve in mind, he started to mediate his mind to increase his strength. But being on top of someone was not helping his manhood.

”Fan? Are you in pain?” she repeated once again.

”No... just numb...” He whispered in a cold tone.

She moved under him and that blinding pain came once again.

”ah!! Stop moving!”

Eyes wide open, she looked up at him. ”I think I might be stepping on some of your wires..... Sorry... if you can...” she wiggled him off of her and slowly moved into the sheets.

”What do you think you are doing?”

”Untangling myself,” she softly whispered from underneath. ”There all done,” she rolled down the bed clumsily.

Fan Xui coldly looked at her. ”Who the hell are you?!”

”Wait... you don’t recognize my voice?”

”Woman don’t waste my time. Tell me who you are and who sent you!”

”Woman.....?”
