Two days went by and things were still awkward. The car was eerily silent. Juda who was cheerful and happy seemed so down that barely a few words escaped her mouth.

Tian..... well she was her usual silent self.

Yue could not crack up both of them so he just gave up.

It was his turn driving, Tian sat next to him on the passenger seat silently guiding him on the right path.

He glanced at the rear view mirror. Lui was silently reading a book and Juda laid her head on her shoulder.

’What the hell happened? Goodness I’ve never seen the two like this,’

His eyes went over to his sister.

Tian was peering out the window intently.

’Is there something out there? A new type of zombie?’ He curiously looked out.

To his surprise his sister was looking at the side mirrors which was directed to the back seats.

’Oh dear lord is this.... love?’

He patted Tians hand.

With a small frown she looked at him.

”Do you like Juda?” He mouthed softly.

Tian gritted her teeth and looked away.

’No shit! For once I think I’m right!!!! Oh my darling sister what the hell are you even doing?’

He tapped Tian again. This time she refused to look his way.

”Tian..”

”....”

”Tian.....”

”Watch the road and drive,” she sternly said glaring at him.

”Okay...” in his mind he decided to ask her later when they were alone.

”Take the right. It’s our entry into G,” she suddenly said.

Yue drive the car slowly. Hundreds of zombies swarmed the place.

Tian lowered the window put her hand out and burned them all.

Her blue flames burned everything to smitten and only ashes fluttered around.

Yue looked at her in shock. ”your flames became powerful,”

”Hmm...” she hummed glancing at her lap.

He could not keep up the conversation so they drove in complete silence.

Little by little the zombies grouped together and started to swarm their car.

Only the sound of thousand of zombies tapping on their car and the sound of their bones crushing was heard.

Since their vehicle was a off road geep they were easily able to travel through them without any trouble.

Tian did not do any more work. She just sat there silently mumbling something under her breath.

He just sighed. ”I hope we can rest somewhere.....”

”We have to move towards the outskirts nearby, my uncle has a small villa there,” Juda leaned forward and whispered into his ear.

Yus shook his head ”no we can reach the settlement in a few hours. Let’s not delay it any further. Tian try your best to burn the zombies in an interval of thirty minutes.dont use too much energy,”

He drive over a huge zombie crowd with a small frown.

”Tian....”

She was looking at the rearview reflection on the mirror once again.

”Okay what the hell happened between you two.”

She just glared at him.

Behind he could hear a small hiccup sound.

Yue sighed loudly. ”if both of you don’t want to talk about it it’s okay. But your fight has left our team in a strange atmosphere.”

Tian just snapped her head away.

”Hey, Tian look at me. I’m talking to you,”

”I’m older, talk to me with respect” she snapped back.

Yue glared at her slightly. ”Don’t use the older person card with me. You cant escape this. Tell me what happened or God help just talk,”

”....”

”Goodness,”

”Its my fault,” suddenly a small voice came from behind.

Yue was busy smashing zombies so he could bolt turn over. ”what is your fault?”

”I disgust her,”

”Huh!”

Tian who was next to him instantly glanced back. ”you still dont realise what you did?”

”What? What did I do? Is falling in love a fault?” is kissing someone you like a fault?”

”KISSING?!!!!” the car veered to the side a bit. Yue took control of the wheel once again straightening the ccar.

Taking deep breaths one after another Yue calmed down.

”Kiss? You both?” he glanced at his sister and Juda

Tian rolled her eyes.

”Sister!tell me what happened?”

Juda leaned forward comnning in between seats. I kissed her without consent. It’s my fault she is pissed off,”

”That is not it!” Tian finally glanced at her.

”Then what?”

”N-nothing... if you dibt realise it yourself there is no use talking about it,” she just refused to look her way again.

”What? What dont I realise? What is my fault then? Am i too weak? Is that it?” Juda’s bottom lip trembled slightly as she peered at her back. ”I said I’ll be strong... I said I would...”

Lui pulled her back. ”shhh let’s not talk about it. Didn’t you say that you won’t cling to anyone? She is not interested let it go,”

Yue gave a sideways glance at his sister. Her small palm was tightly clenched. She looked ready to throw a fist. ’darn my sister is in it deep... but why did she reject Juda?’

They drove over to the street that led to his place.

Just seeing the familiar steers and its ruin made his heart pound immensely. He tightly clenched the steering wheel anxiously looking around.

”We close?”

”Hmm.... an hour through here will lead us to our house..” he glanced at Tian who had an anticipating look in her eyes.

’Are you ready to meet the family?’ these words alonkst escaped his mouth but..... he did not utter them.

Because he did not know if he had a family left or not.

Thinking about his father’s cute frowning face his mum’s sweet smile.... his eyes started to tear up.

He already went through the pain of losing both his parents.. he did not want to go through it again.

”But I have to go through it to move on...” Yue whispered to himself.

Tian just gave him a worried look.

”Its okay... its life,” he bit his lips holding back a sob.

Right then a loud sound was heard. Yue instantly drive his car away and far from it.

A huge tank rolled down the streets smashing so many zombies under its foot. In front of it were twenty or so soldiers, fully armed and moving towards the city.

Two men in that group seem to have strength ability. They moved the road blocks making it easy for the tank to crush it’s way through.

”We can ask them for help! They wi help us!” Lui happily shouted and waved at them.

The military officers did not respond to them. Rather they seem to have a particular target in mind as they moved through the road.

”Stop, it’s useless. They seem to have a task. If it’s not saving the other living then they won’t get involved,”

Lui worriedly bit her lips. ”what do we do now?”

”We’ll go to the settlement. It’s not a bad place to be. If you work you get food. There are treacherous peoples around so we have to be careful.”

They silently igroned the team of armed soldiers and proceded into the outskirts. Soon the view of a huge barricade came into sight.

It was made up of cars completely. They were flattened and stacked on top of each other.

A lot of zombie corpses surrounded it.

”They barricaded the roads? What if someone wants to go past it?”

Just as Juda said that a group of three humans approached the barricade. They all tried to climb over.

”Don’t move!” a loud shout came from above.

An armed soldier stood up top with a machine gun ready to shoot.

”Go through the official gates,”

”where is that?” Yue lowered his window and shouted.

”Two streets past your right,” the soldier directed him.

”Thank you,”

Yue turned their car and they slowly approached the official door.

This place had an actual brick wall on the roads. The humans were instructed to leave their vehicles out and proceed in a line for check up.

The soldiers just checked for visible wounds.

Ones with small scraps and scars were made to sit out in front of them for observation.

Sadly Yue had a small scrap mark on his face and Tian had a huge scar on the back of her head.

They were made to wait out.

Juda and Lui joined them.

They set up a small tent with a few of the blankets and started a fire. Lui kept watch outside for their safety while the others cooked inside.

Yue bit his finger nails watching the door intently.

”you okay?” Tian gently patted his back.

”Y-yeah... I’m fine... I’m great,”

”No you are not. Tell me what’s going on?”

Yue gulped a bit. ”I’m....im scared Tian,”

”Of what?” she seemed confused by his worry.

I’m scared that our family might not have survived,”

Yue leaned forward and hugged her tight. ”I’m so so scared Tian. I-I dont know how I’m going to live without their warmth,”

Tian silently patted his head.

Even without any word just that touch alone gave him comfort.

Yue sniffed slightly wiping his tear stained face. ”Dad and mom really like you. You......you might not get to meet them.”
