[warning: This chapter contains gore and description of gruesome death. please read with caution.]

”They must die....” Yue uttered softly, caressing Tian’s face. Her hair was all dirty with sand and gravel. He removed the dust as much as he could. ”She hates being dirty....”

”Hey this girl just whispered something. What is it?” a man squatted down and patted Yue’s face. ”Cutie, what is it, huh? Did you say something with that sweet voice of yours?”

Yue blankly looked at him.

All he could see were black faces with no eyes or nose of mouth.

They were all just monsters in his eyes.

”You all... must die.”

The man froze, but after a second he started to laugh like a madman. ”Did you hear that, boys? We all must die, hahah....”

Suddenly, blood splattered all over.

The man collapsed on the ground with a bloody hole in his chest. His beating heart laid there right next to him, still pumping out fresh blood.

”w-what the hell... what was that?” the remaining men vigilantly glanced at Yue, who was still sitting like a docile pet. His hands were stained red. ”This chick killed him, man! Fuck! What the hell!!”

Juda gasped loudly, backing up close to Lui.

”darn it!!” those men who were holding Juda and Lui down, all peered at Yue. ”l-lets kill that chick man! Kill her!”

The four men all crept closer to Yue with their bats and batons in hand.

Yue turned over, glancing at them blankly. ”You hurt her.... you all hurt her...” he gently lifted Tian’s head and placed it gently on the ground. He took off his outer coat and rolled it up as a pillow and plc edit under her. ”You all deserve hell... do to hell!” he charged at them blindly.

One of the men smashed his baton on his back. Yue did not dodge it rather he moves so close to him and plunged a hand into his chest.

The monster froze.

”You do have hearts.... monsters...” he squished his heart.

The monster collapsed to the ground.

The other three faceless monsters backed away, but one of them suddenly swung his bat to his head.

Yue caught a hold of it, bending the metal baseball bat. This person, too, was faceless. ”...” he pulled the bat form his hand.

The monster did not give it, but got pulled close to him by that force.

Yue grabbed his head. ”aren’t you supposed to be human? Aren’t you....” he dragged his head down smashed it with his knees. The faceless monster collapsed.

He tossed it to the side, slowly prowling close to the other two.

Yue caught one by its collar. The other saw this and ran away from him.

”I didn’t do it! I didn’t do it,”

Yue expressionlessly peered at his face. ”if you didn’t, why don’t you have your face? Why are you faceless?”

He gripped the monster’s face and smashed it.

Blood splattered everywhere, painting his whole body red.

Yue hurriedly wiped it down, but the stains it left behind were not easy to remove. ”Tian does not like dirty things...” he whispered.

”Yue...” a soft voice whispered.

He glanced up to see another faceless person. ”There was more.. more monsters.”

”Yue, are you okay...”

Yue ran to that monster and caught its throat. ”Did you come back running?”

”Yue!” another faceless blond haired monster caught his arm.

Yue frowned. ”I’ll deal with you in a while..”

”Y-Yue....” the one in his grip gently caressed his face. ”Come back.... wake up....”

Suddenly, his eyes cleared up. He saw Juda crying in his hand. ”ha...” he dropped her instantly. ”J-Juda...I.. what did I do...” his trembling eyes gazed into his blood stained palm.

”What have I...”

Lui touched his cheeks. ”Hey.. snap out of it.”

”Huh...” he dazedly looked at her.

”You sister needs you more now...”

Yue nodded. ”Tian needs me...” he ran over to her. Juda had already bandaged her head with a piece of cheesecloth.

He could not handle it... seeing her so still and helpless.

”Tian....Tian....” he softly sobbed.

”She needs stitches. I am gonna need something to clean it with and some suture needles.” Juda whispered urgently.

”Suture needles.... where will I find one?” he caressed Tian’s face gently. Her scalp was badly injured, and it was bleeding through the bandage. ”What should I do...” he sobbed loudly, hugging her hand

Juda suddenly slapped him.

Yue glanced at her in shock.

”Don’t fall apart now. She is not dead and she will most not die if we do something. Let’s go to the city up top to see if there are any clinics or hospitals.”

”Yes, yes...” he nodded his head like a little kid.

”Your motorcycle is badly damaged. We’ll have to ride on ours.”

Yue’s eyes only then focused on the badly damaged bike up front. His eyes started to water once again.

”shhh.. It’s not too late. We can save her,”

But as he looked, he could see something weird. The road was raised high till his knees. Like something was crawling up.

’No, someone or something was controlling the ground.....’ he glanced around vigilantly. The ones who fought with him did not posses any ability. ’That person who caused this is hiding.....’

”Lui, can you run alongside? Will it exhaust you?” Yue coldly whispered.

Juda worriedly glanced at her friend.

”I can run a mile without panting.”

”I’ll carry her on my back,” Yue whispered, wiping his snot away. ”She might have to be harnessed to me. I think that rope Lui found earlier can help,” he stood up, patting his bloody hands.

Lui and Juda helped lift Tian onto his back. They strapped her to his body with the rope they used before.

Yue carried her over to the vehicle and sat up front gingerly. Juda sat on the back, on the take out box, putting pressure on Tian’s wound.

”Let’s go,”

Lui ran alongside while Yue drove the bike.

Yue drove frantically up the mountainous region. Sand and gravel covered the roads, but he did not care.

His mind was filled with thoughts of saving his sister. A small amount of regret was there as a swell.

They went to Tian’s secret hideout in a clinic. There might have been suture needles and other medicines, but he only took the external creams. Not once did he think about suture needles and such? It was an incredibly stupid mistake of his.

”Juda, check if we have any medicine to stop her bleeding. It’s in my bag..” he said, peering ahead at the road.

Juda hesitantly glanced at him. ”I would have to take your bag out from the space. Can we stop for a minute?..”

”You don’t have to take out the bag. Juda, everything in your space is under your control. Just think about my bag and envision about the medicines I kept in a small plastic bag. It will appear,”

”Hmm ill try.” She closed her eyes and concentrated. Suddenly, a blue plastic bag appeared in her arms. ”Wow, it worked.” She hurriedly checked inside. ”There are burn creams and fever reducers. I don’t see any antihemorrhagic agent.”

”What is that anti thing?..”

”Blood clotting agent.”

Yue bit his lips tightly. This was all because of his negligence. He was confident that he had all the stock of medicines back home. He just wanted to leave some for the survivors. But who knew...

”There must be some up in the city,”

Lui, who was running close by, suddenly shouted something.

Yue focused up ahead. The roads that was clean and just raised like a wall.

He swiftly hit the brakes. The motorcycle went out of control, sliding to a stop, hitting the raised roads.

Yue glared at the top of the mountainous region. ”Found you, Juda. Give me a gun with scope,” he waved his hands.

The girl gave him a shipper gun.

Yue lowered his body and rested the gun’s body on the bike’s handle. He took aim. ”You think you can escape after pulling that cheap trick...”

He waited and waited. The person moved once again.

He shot without hesitation.

A small grunt was heard.

”You hit that person,” Juda said proudly. ”Let’s go over this wall. I’ll take the motorbike into my space,”

Yue nodded and got down, lifting Tian on his back carefully. He hopped over the raised road.

Juda climbed over as well.

Lui, on the other hand, kept watch for them.

Yue gestured for her to climb over.

Soon as she was on their side, the ground started to tremble violently.

Yue glanced up in shock. A Huge, rounded rock tumbling down. He swiftly tore the rope and gave Tian to Lui. ”run,”

Lui ran with Tian in one hand and Juda in another.

Zou Yue stayed back.

Just as the rock moved close, he punched it with all of his strength. It shattered into multitude of pieces.

Through the smoke and dust, he saw another figure watching from atop the mountain.

A tall lanky man stood there holding his bleeding arm.

Seeing Yue smash his attack, he swiftly moved away.

”I’ll get you soon you bastard!”
