Chapter 253: Chapter 251: Slapping the Face of the Reborn Apocalypse Woman 32 (Bonus for 200 Monthly Tickets)

Su Leqing asked Yu Ping to throw the two corpses out, and then she collapsed weakly to the ground.

Zhao Fang hurried over to help her: ”Are you alright?”

Su Leqing waved her hand: ”I’m fine, just a bit drained.”

Although Father Yu and Mother Yu were heartbroken about their daughter’s death, thinking about her transforming into a zombie, and then seeing their son still well, they felt less pained.

After resting for a while, everyone returned to their rooms.

The next morning, Su Leqing and Yu Ping, fully armed, went out.

They wanted to clear out the zombies in the community first, at least to make the environment better. Before the base in the Capital was established, they were to stay here.

Overnight, the number of zombies in the community had increased.

However, since this was a villa area with fewer people, naturally there were fewer zombies.

Su Leqing and Yu Ping killed a few zombies and then ran into a few young men looking for food. Su Leqing invited them to join in killing zombies.

These young men had probably seen apocalyptic films or read novels, so they were quite keen on the idea of killing zombies.

They first went to the supermarket to get some food to take back, and then they started teaming up with Su Leqing and Yu Ping to check door-to-door for zombies. If there were any, they would persuade the homeowners to deal with them as soon as possible.

Zombies naturally existed in Anning’s community as well.

Xiao Keke wanted to go out and kill zombies, but Anning stopped her.

After dinner, Anning told everyone to go back to their rooms to rest, and she went to sleep with Jixiang and Ruyi.

In the middle of the night, Anning heard Yin Baichuan making a series of cries and quickly ran out to look.

Yin Baichuan came out of the guest room and upon seeing Anning started shouting, ”Anning, come and see what’s going on here?”

Anning went over and saw that Mrs. Yin was starting to turn into a zombie.

She strode forward and struck Mrs. Yin on the head with her palm, causing Mrs. Yin to faint immediately. Anning took out a pill and stuffed it into her mouth, then told Yin Baichuan to tie her up with a rope: ”Tie her up for now. No matter how she screams, you must not loosen the ropes. She will be alright by tomorrow.”

After all this, Anning went back upstairs to sleep.

Xiao Yuan and Xiao Keke came out when they heard the noise, but Anning had already dealt with the situation.

Xiao Keke was quite afraid seeing Mrs. Yin tied to the chair.

Yin Baichuan was holding a cigarette, smoking while watching over Mrs. Yin.

Seeing that Xiao Keke was scared, he smiled at her and said, ”Anning has already given her medicine. She will be fine soon.”

He’d just finished speaking when Anning’s voice came from upstairs, ”If any of you feel unwell, come to me for medicine—like if you have a headache or a fever, you must tell me early.”

Xiao Keke and the others responded, and afterward, no more sounds from Anning were heard.

The next morning, Mrs. Yin woke up.

She was just like usual, nothing special about her.

Yin Baichuan told her about what happened last night, and she was somewhat incredulous.

Later, Xiao Keke and the others testified, and only then did she understand what exactly had happened the previous night.

Mrs. Yin was especially grateful, glad that Yin Baichuan, her loving husband, didn’t think about killing her when he discovered she was turning into a zombie but instead asked Anning for a solution first.

Later, Mrs. Yin asked Yin Baichuan what he would do if she really turned into a zombie and there was no help from Anning.

Yin Baichuan took a long time before saying, if that were the case, he would kill Mrs. Yin himself.

He was not afraid of being bitten or anything by Mrs. Yin. He had to consider the Xiao Family and people like Anning they lived with; he couldn’t put others in danger because of his selfishness.

Even if he took Mrs. Yin away, she would no longer be rational and would surely bite people after they left, resulting in innocent people getting hurt.

However, if he killed Mrs. Yin, he would not want to live either; he would go to join Mrs. Yin.

Mrs. Yin laughed and cried after hearing Yin Baichuan’s words.

She fully agreed that Yin Baichuan should kill her, but she didn’t want Yin Baichuan to commit suicide. Even if she died, she thought Yin Baichuan should live on properly.

In the morning, the residential community saw many zombies wandering outside; every household kept their doors shut and no one dared to come out.

Right at this time, there was a knock on the door where Anning lived.

Xiao Keke opened the door.

To see several people in military uniforms standing outside: ”Excuse me, does Tang Anning live here?”

Xiao Keke smiled: ”Yes, you are...”

Those people showed their credentials to Xiao Keke: ”We are ordered to seek Miss Tang’s assistance.”

Xiao Keke called out for Anning; Anning knew what these people were here for as soon as she saw them.

Anning greeted the few people with a smile, then took Xiao Yuan aside, handed him a bottle of medicine, entrusted Jixiang and Ruyi to him, and then followed the people away.

Anning was taken to a secret base.

When she arrived, there were already many people there, and some were leaders often seen on television.

The people all stood up when they saw Anning arrive.

”Welcome, Miss Tang.”

Anning acted puzzled: ”What... are you looking for me for? I haven’t broken the law, nor have I harmed anyone...”

The leaders reassured Anning with a smile: ”We’ve asked you here because there is something we want to inquire about, rest assured, after it’s confirmed we’ll send you back quickly.”

Anning sat down and one of the leaders asked her: ”The medicine that a classmate of yours with the surname He took the other day, was it provided by you?”

Anning nodded: ”Yes.”

”Do you know what that medicine is?”

”I do, it’s an antivirus drug. Not long ago, I noticed there were many unstable elements in the air, so I started to do some research. I found that once these elements enter the human body, they can cause a person to fall into a coma, and they form a peculiar toxin in the human body, which turns some people into zombies.”

Upon hearing this, the leaders immediately became serious.

”So you mean to say, you discovered the Zombie Virus quite early on?”

Anning frowned: ”I wouldn’t say it’s the Zombie Virus; at that time, I was just experimenting and couldn’t be sure until I saw a zombie yesterday, that’s when I knew it was the Zombie Virus.”

”Can you still produce this medicine?”

Another leader asked: ”Can a person who has turned into a zombie return to normal after taking this medicine?”

Anning thought for a moment and nodded: ”They should be able to, yes. Yesterday, one of my elders started turning into a zombie and I gave her the medicine. She was fine this morning.”

The leaders were overjoyed at this news and immediately requested Anning to write down the drug formulation.

Of course, the leaders indicated they would not take Anning’s drug formulation for nothing and would compensate her.

Anning waved her hand with a smile: ”No need, I can contribute the drug formulation for free. After all, only with social stability can I live a better life. Consider it my contribution to all of humanity.”

She wrote down the formulation, then was taken to a laboratory where a large number of pharmaceutical research scientists were gathered. Anning personally prepared several doses of the medicine in front of them.

After watching Anning do it once, they started to make it themselves.

Anning watched by the side, pointing out whenever they did something wrong.

These people were talents specializing in pharmaceutical studies, formulating medicines was not difficult for them, and even for a new medicine, they would get it right after a couple of tries.

Very soon, they mastered the technique of preparing the medication and then started discussing mass production of the drug.

Seeing that everything was handled, Anning requested to go home.

So the leaders arranged for someone to take her back.
