The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Slapping the Fake Heiress 53

Anning sat in the passenger seat, Xiao Yuan and Zhang Ke sat in the back row.

Zhang Ke talked incessantly all the way.

”Anning, why didn’t you tell us earlier? I could have helped you out.”

Anning smiled: ”I wasn’t sure what it would turn out to be, so I wanted to do it alone first.”

Zhang Ke felt it was a pity: ”It’s such a pity not to witness the birth of a robot in person.”

Xiao Yuan sat upright in the back seat, his gaze constantly on Anning.

After sitting for a while, Anning looked out the window.

Traffic in the Capital is usually not very good, and since it was rush hour, it was naturally congested.

Anning watched the various brands of cars outside the window while deconstructing their internal structures in her mind.

After a long wait, the car finally began to move slowly.

When the car passed in front of a shopping mall, Anning suddenly saw Liu Mingzhu.

Liu Mingzhu was struggling with several people, and upon a closer look, it was actually the Liu Family.

Anning saw it, and so did Xiao Yuan and Zhang Ke.

”Isn’t that Liu Mingzhu?”

Xiao Yuan said loudly pointing out the window.

Zhang Ke hummed: ”I heard she went back with the Liu Family, why is she still in the Capital?”

Anning looked back at Zhang Ke: ”Liu Mingzhu didn’t go back; she hid.”

Huh?

Xiao Yuan found it strange: ”How did she hide? It’s impossible for an underage girl to escape the Liu Family without help.”

Anning asked Old Li to slow down the car, and while watching Liu Mingzhu’s embarrassed state from not far away, she said, ”It seems she found someone to help her, I don’t know where she hid, and she also transferred schools.”

”It must be He Yang.”

Zhang Ke slapped his thigh: ”Liu Mingzhu had the best relationship with He Yang earlier. It must have been He Yang who helped her.”

Anning smiled: ”Anyway, it has nothing to do with us.”

How could it have nothing to do.

Liu Mingzhu’s whereabouts were specially leaked to the Liu Family by Anning.

How could Anning let Liu Mingzhu wander freely.

She had been waiting; as soon as Liu Mingzhu got her household registration independent with He Yang’s help, transferred schools, adapted to her new school life, and thought she could settle down, Anning had An Xin inform the Liu Family of Liu Mingzhu’s whereabouts.

There, the Liu Family quickly showed up.

It seems, the Liu Family must be furious this time, probably forcing Liu Mingzhu to sell her house.

Anning’s guesses were all correct.

Liu Mingzhu was really furious.

She was being pulled by Mrs. Liu, hit in the face by Liu Qing till it swelled, her hair disheveled, looking like a madwoman.

”I won’t go, I won’t go back with you, I’m fine in the Capital, why should I go with you?”

Mrs. Liu slapped her: ”You brat, do you think you can just say you won’t go? I’m your mother, I say you return, and you must obediently come back with me.”

Liu Qing also clawed at Liu Mingzhu: ”Shameless girl, only knowing how to seduce men at such a young age...”

Liu Mingzhu, humiliated and angry: ”Don’t talk nonsense.”

Mr. Liu, strong as he was, went over to help when Mrs. Liu couldn’t pull Liu Mingzhu away.

Liu Mingzhu was desperate, she screamed loudly: ”Someone help me...”

This is the entrance of a shopping mall; naturally, there were many pedestrians.

Many people gathered around.

A few righteous elders, upon seeing Liu Mingzhu’s distressed look, felt sorry for this young girl.

They went over and grabbed Liu Mingzhu, reprimanding the Liu Family: ”What are you doing? In broad daylight, is this kidnapping or what?”

Seeing someone speaking up for Liu Mingzhu, Mr. Liu quickly put on a smile and explained, ”Master, this, this is my own daughter. She came to the Capital for a visit recently and when it was time to leave, we couldn’t find her anywhere. We have a lot of things to take care of at home, so we could only report to the police and head back. A few days ago, the police called saying they found her, so we hurried here. But, to our surprise, she refuses to come home. This child is so stubborn.”

An old woman suspiciously scrutinized the Liu Family: ”You say she is your daughter just like that? Do you have any proof?”

This...

The Liu Family actually had no proof.

Liu Mingzhu’s household registration wasn’t with their family’s, and they didn’t have any photos with her either. Now that the bystanders were asking for proof, Mr. Liu became a bit anxious.

”This... It was a rush, we didn’t bring any proof.”

However, Liu Mingzhu pulled on the old woman’s arm and loudly said, ”I don’t know them. I’m a local from the Capital, not from somewhere else. I’m currently studying at XX Middle School. If you don’t believe me, you can call the school to verify. My name is Liu Mingzhu.”

Indeed, some curious onlooker called the school and verified that Liu Mingzhu was indeed a student there.

Mr. Liu secretly noted the school where Liu Mingzhu was studying.

Liu Mingzhu was also desperate, even revealing which school she was currently attending.

At this moment, she wasn’t thinking about anything else, just eager to get away from the Liu Family.

After the bystanders learned that Liu Mingzhu was a student at that school, many couldn’t just stand by and watch.

Some called the police, others helped Liu Mingzhu get away, and some confronted the Liu Family.

Mrs. Liu, disturbed and upset, couldn’t help but curse: ”You wicked girl, what do you want? Just wait, when I get my hands on you, I’ll teach you a lesson.”

Liu Qing also scolded Liu Mingzhu, ”You rotten girl, once I’m back, I’m going to beat you half to death and then sell you off.”

Hearing this, Liu Mingzhu burst into tears, ”Grandpa, Grandma, Uncles, Aunts, did you hear that? They want to traffic humans.”

Actually, Mr. Liu knew things were going south the moment Liu Qing spoke.

He wanted to cover Liu Qing’s mouth, but it was too late; the words had already been said.

Hearing this, the bystanders were even more certain that the Liu Family were not good people, and several middle-aged women tightly protected Liu Mingzhu.

Right then, Liu Mingzhu was just crying, not answering any questions, just crying.

Seeing her cry so pitifully, they thought the child must be terrified.

One of the old women softly comforted Liu Mingzhu, ”Child, don’t be scared. So many people are watching; nothing will happen to you. You should call your parents to come pick you up.”

Liu Mingzhu sobbed heartbreakingly, ”My...my parents are divorced, no one wants me.”

Mrs. Liu glared at Liu Mingzhu.

She realized that Liu Mingzhu was very cunning and full of lies, making her hard to discipline.

She hardened her heart, deciding that once she took Liu Mingzhu back home, she must strictly discipline her.

Many old women were sighing over the misfortunes of Liu Mingzhu.

At that moment, the nearby police station responded.

The police asked about the situation and took away both the Liu Family and Liu Mingzhu.

Not long after, the crowd of onlookers also dispersed.

Anning was already at home, engrossed in testing the robot, paying no attention to the commotion involving Liu Mingzhu.

However, An Xin had already recorded everything about Liu Mingzhu and the Liu Family through surveillance and was waiting to show it to Anning.

Xiao Yuan and a few others helped Anning carry the robot to the living room, just as Zhao Han and Song Ruyi, surprised, saw the object being brought in.

Song Ruyi asked Anning, ”Ningning, what is this?”

Anning connected the power supply to the robot: ”This is a robot I assembled myself; I plan to use it for a robot competition.”
