My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 316: Chapter 316: The Peculiar Mission

The resupply mission for Zhao Chen’s over one hundred combat-type interstellar warships was completed in just three hours.

If the Imperial Army’s logistics department were to learn of this resupply efficiency, they would surely be astounded!

Ten T3 Star Supply Ships, tasked with resupplying the Fierce Dragon Fleet—which consisted of nearly thirty T3 interstellar warships and seventy to eighty T2 Starships—took only three hours?

This resupply efficiency was several times greater than that of the T3 Star Supply Ships currently in service within the Stellar Glory Empire!

On the battlefield, such logistical resupply efficiency often represented a form of combat capability.

Assuming both sides had the same number of interstellar warships and combat capabilities, if the enemy’s interstellar supply ships could complete resupply missions faster than yours,

it meant that within the same timeframe, the enemy’s interstellar warships could deliver more firepower output!

Naturally, the scales of victory on the battlefield would tilt in favor of one side.

During these three hours, Zhao Chen also pondered which battlefield to head to next.

He glanced at the three side missions.

[Side Mission One: The Battle to Defend SP118 Planet

Side Mission Two: The Zerg Campaign in the Morton Star System

Side Mission Three: The Rescue Campaign for the Third Planet of the Sapphire Star System (Completed)]

Of the three side missions, Zhao Chen had already completed one.

Two remained for him to choose from.

Zhao Chen began to investigate information about the locations of these two campaigns.

First was SP118 Planet.

SP118 Planet was located in a star system currently experiencing the most severe Zerg Plague. Although the planet had not yet completely fallen, based on the intelligence reports,

defending this planet would be no small challenge.

Zhao Chen then looked at the other location: the Zerg Campaign in the Morton Star System.

”Strange?”

Zhao Chen frowned as he examined the information before him.

This was the data on the Zerg Disaster shared by the Governor of the North Wind across the entire star sector. According to the intelligence provided, the Morton Star System had only encountered three Level 2 Cosmic Zerg Nests and fewer than ten Level 1 Cosmic Zerg Nests so far.

Initially, this had indeed caused significant chaos in the Morton Star System.

But now, under the suppression of the lord fleet and a small contingent of the Imperial Fleet, the situation had largely stabilized, with only some cleanup operations remaining.

By now, all these Cosmic Zerg Nests had disappeared.

Everything seemed perfectly normal.

Yet, Zhao Chen felt something was off, because the side missions issued by the system would never be this straightforward.

Although he had completed the side mission for the Sapphire Third Planet, that was only because Zhao Chen had taken a bold step by ”borrowing” a large number of private star transport ships.

If Zhao Chen had not made this move, he would not have been able to safely evacuate the civilians of the Sapphire Third Planet in such a short time.

It was worth noting that, at present,

half of the Zerg Fleet in the Sapphire Star System still remained. Zhao Chen’s Fierce Dragon Fleet had only managed to buy time earlier and could not completely annihilate these Zerg fleets.

Thus, this side mission still carried significant risks.

But looking at the combat data for the Morton Star System, it appeared to be a simple battle.

The entire Morton Star System had only deployed one corps-level Imperial Fleet and two thousand lord fleet ships to bring the Zerg Fleet in this star system under control.

This was completely insufficient for the system to issue it as a ’Side Mission.’

It was like suddenly placing a T1 Interstellar Warship in an exhibition hall full of T3 interstellar warships.

Wouldn’t you find that strange?

”Reporting, Commander, all our combat-type interstellar warships have completed their resupply tasks. Additionally, the strategic resources loaded on the ten T3 Star Supply Ships can provide the entire fleet with up to two more resupplies,” Secretary Officer Lilith reported.

This was the advantage of carrying stellar supply ships with you.

Zhao Chen’s Fierce Dragon Fleet was once again fully restored!

But Zhao Chen had no mind to rejoice over this matter; his thoughts were entirely consumed by the Morton Star System.

He was uneasy.

”Lilith, bring up all the data on the Morton Star System for me,” Zhao Chen said seriously.

Although Secretary Officer Lilith did not know why Commander Zhao Chen was so interested in this Morton Star System, she quickly retrieved the relevant information.

Zhao Chen looked at the data before him, searching for useful information.

The lord of the Morton Star System was a Count, who owned three star system territories, with the Morton Star System being his primary one.

The Morton Star System was also among the top five resource-rich star systems in the North Wind Star Domain, classified as a resource-type star system with multiple mining zones within it.

Currently, 30% of the raw material output in the North Wind Star Domain came from the Morton Star System.

The Count lord of the Morton Star System had also established the largest raw material extraction and smelting-related basic industries in the North Wind Star Domain within the Morton Star System.

It could be said that if anything went wrong in the Morton Star System, it would be like severing an arm of the North Wind Star Domain.

Zhao Chen immediately thought of notifying the Governor of the North Wind.

But he quickly restrained himself.

Nothing had happened in the Morton Star System yet; if he went to notify the Governor of the North Wind now, they would surely wonder how he had obtained this information.

Moreover, he had no clear idea what would happen in the North Wind Star Domain.

Zhao Chen held his head in his hands.

He was now facing a dilemma and a choice.

How should he handle this impending disaster?

”Commander?” Secretary Officer Lilith looked at Commander Zhao Chen, puzzled as to why, despite such a favorable situation, the Commander wore such a troubled expression.

The Morton Star System could not afford any loss; Zhao Chen understood the principle of shared fate all too well.

Although rescuing the Morton Star System would not bring Zhao Chen significant direct benefits, if anything happened to it, it would trigger a series of chain reactions in the North Wind Star Domain.

But this information could not be relayed to the Governor of the North Wind in advance.

Zhao Chen raised his hand and called up the current battle situation across the entire North Wind Star Domain, particularly around the Morton Star System.

”Lilith, help me calculate something. If the worst possible disaster were to break out in the Morton Star System, how many forces could the North Wind Star Domain mobilize to the Morton Star System in the shortest possible time?” Zhao Chen asked seriously, looking at Secretary Officer Lilith.

The Morton Star System?

Although she did not understand why Commander Zhao Chen was so concerned about this Morton Star System, Lilith focused on her duties and began the calculations.

Soon, she arrived at a series of numbers.

”If the disaster breaking out in the Morton Star System is severe enough...”

In the most urgent situation, within five hours, the nearest Imperial Army Twelfth Corps and approximately three thousand lord fleet ships can reach any battlefield area within the Morton Star System!

Within ten hours, the Imperial Army Nineteenth Corps, the Imperial Army Twenty-second Corps, and the North Wind Star Sector Governor’s Corps can all provide support to the Morton Star System.

Since the entire North Wind Star Domain is currently in a state of war, fleet mobilization has become much easier compared to the initial stages.

The only issue is that such mobilization completely disregards their original combat missions—meaning abandoning the Zerg Fleets they were previously dealing with!” Secretary Officer Lilith explained.

”If we want to handle both sides, how many starships can be mobilized?” Zhao Chen asked again.

Lilith immediately provided a number this time: ”Within five hours, one thousand Imperial Army starships and two thousand lord fleet ships.

Within ten hours, two thousand Imperial Army starships, three thousand lord fleet ships, and two thousand Governor’s Fleet ships!”

Ten thousand starships!

That is far from enough...

Zhao Chen pondered for a moment before making a decision.
