My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 302: Chapter 302: The Jiang Family’s Crisis

Sapphire Star System · Third Planet

The order on this planet was now in complete chaos.

Riots had even broken out in various cities, and the surface starports capable of docking T1 Interstellar Warships and T2 Starships were swarmed by crowds numbering in the trillions.

At the worst point, there were even people clinging to the outer hulls of starships.

As for the space elevators leading to the near-orbit starports, they were basically packed to capacity.

If you tried to book a spot now, you might have to wait several years.

Inside a residential compound, over a hundred guards armed with Laser Rifles were protecting the courtyard from being damaged by the rioters outside.

Although there was no immediate danger, given the current situation, staying on this planet meant death was only a matter of time.

”Father! Is it true that the Zerg have invaded? Then we must hurry and evacuate!” Jiang Ziwen looked at his father, Jiang Xiong, the head of the Jiang Family.

”Don’t worry. The planetary governor has promised me three hundred seats on an Interstellar Transport Ship.

It’s just a shame about all the assets our Jiang Family has built here.” Patriarch Jiang Xiong looked weary.

A year ago, their Jiang Family had migrated from the Fierce Dragon Star System to this Sapphire Star System, relying on connections to establish this family business here.

Who could have imagined that in less than a year, they would face a Zerg attack.

”Everything is prepared as you instructed, Master. An armored vehicle convoy is also ready outside the compound to escort us to the surface starport where the Interstellar Transport Ship is docked!” A man who looked like a steward entered and reported.

Patriarch Jiang Xiong stood up. ”Alright, everyone, don’t think too much. As long as our Jiang Family survives, there will be hope for the future!

Prepare to evacuate.”

”Shasha, what are you standing there for? It’s time to go.” Jiang Shasha’s mother urged her.

Jiang Shasha nodded subconsciously and then followed the family evacuation team, boarding an armored vehicle with her mother and younger brother.

The roads were now filled with all kinds of chaotic situations.

Fortunately, their armored vehicle convoy was capable of low-altitude hovering flight, so they didn’t have to worry about ground congestion. ℯℯ𝘭.

Jiang Shasha looked at the city she had just begun to get familiar with, which now resembled a scene from before the apocalypse.

She then looked up at the sky.

At that moment, she noticed small black dots appearing in the sky.

The number of black dots grew larger and larger.

Those black dots descended rapidly like meteors.

Just then, the defense systems of various cities activated.

Simultaneously, warning sirens echoed throughout the city.

”Warning! Warning! Warning! An interstellar Zerg fleet is engaging the patrol fleet outside the planet. Some interstellar Zerg have broken through the front lines and are descending onto the planet.

All personnel, evacuate to shelters!

I repeat, all personnel, evacuate to shelters!”

Instantly, the already chaotic city descended into even greater turmoil.

Countless Zerg, under the assault of defensive artillery fire, exploded one by one in the air, turning into fireballs.

”Those are Zerg! Wasn’t it said that the nearest batch of Zerg wouldn’t reach us until three days later?” Jiang Ziwen looked terrified.

Jiang Shasha’s mother, her face pale, held her daughter tightly, seemingly murmuring prayers under her breath.

”Hurry! Hurry! Get to the surface starport quickly!” Patriarch Jiang Xiong was now frantic with anxiety.

Just as the Jiang Family convoy was about to reach the surface starport, the last interstellar transport ship at the starport unexpectedly took off.

They watched helplessly as the interstellar transport ship, carrying all their hopes, lifted off and began its ascent!

”Father, is that the interstellar transport ship we were supposed to board? Why did it take off without waiting for us!” Jiang Ziwen cried out in terror.

Jiang Xiong was also filled with confusion. He hurriedly tried to contact the high-ranking official who had arranged their evacuation using the communication system.

However, no matter how many times he tried, the other party could not be reached.

At that moment, the Jiang Family finally understood—they had been abandoned!

”Patriarch... should we still continue to the starport?” the steward asked the patriarch.

Patriarch Jiang Xiong’s face darkened: ”Find a way! Find any small starship or shuttle!”

Although Patriarch Jiang Xiong said this, everyone knew deep down that in the current situation, not only small starships and shuttles, but any device capable of leaving the planet was as precious as treasure. How could there possibly be any extras for them to find?

”It’s over... it’s over! We can’t escape!” Jiang Ziwen huddled in the corner of the vehicle, his face filled with panic and fear.

Boom!

At that moment, a massive explosion echoed from the sky outside. The shockwave of the blast felt as if it would tear their eardrums apart.

Everyone looked up at the sky.

It was the T2 interstellar transport ship that had just taken off. Its hull was now pierced by a huge hole and had exploded. Scattered debris rained back down to the ground like a meteor shower.

The culprits were the biological plasma cannons of several T2 hive motherships!

With the appearance of these T2 hive motherships, the wreckage of interstellar warships began to plummet from the sky. On the outer shells of these interstellar warship debris, dense clusters of Zerg could be seen.

Whenever these Zerg found an opening, they would swarm inside. One could only imagine the fate of the starship crew inside!

This scene meant that the planetary defense line had been breached!

At this point, the city’s defensive weapons also began to falter. Large numbers of Zerg landed on the ground and started attacking any life they saw.

Screams and cries of despair could be heard everywhere in the city.

What was once merely chaotic was now stained with the color of blood.

What would be the fate of a planet whose surface had been invaded by the interstellar Zerg?

The books Jiang Shasha had studied provided detailed explanations.

At worst, it would take a week or half a month; at best, only a few days.

Over 99% of the life on the entire planet would become food for the Zerg. The entire planet would become an incubation chamber for the interstellar Zerg, hatching more of them to continue attacking other planets.

The Jiang Family convoy was now also thrown into chaos. No one knew what to do.

”Return to the mansion immediately! There are still some defensive weapons at the mansion. For now, we can only use those to hold our ground and wait for reinforcements, who might come to rescue us!” Patriarch Jiang Xiong made the decision.

The Jiang Family convoy began to turn back the way they had come.

Along the way, they witnessed all sorts of dire situations. The city they were in had also suffered a large-scale Zerg attack.

Fortunately, they were relatively lucky and managed to return to the Jiang Family estate smoothly.

However, the mood was completely different from when they had left. Many members of the Jiang Family had already broken down into tears.

Patriarch Jiang Xiong began organizing the defense of the Jiang Family estate. Jiang Shasha, who had studied at the North Star Starship Military Academy, was forced to take up a battle station with a laser rifle in hand.

This was her first time facing the vicious Zerg. Watching those creatures continuously charging toward her, the scene truly terrified her.

Her younger brother was even more frightened, falling to the ground several times, dropping his gun, and crying to leave.

It was Patriarch Jiang Xiong, frustrated by his weakness, who went over and kicked him a few times, forcing him to hold the line.

Time passed bit by bit.

The entire city, even the entire planet, seemed to have become a delicious feast before the Zerg.

The weapons and ammunition at the Jiang Family estate were also running low. After all, they were merely a trading family, and their stock of military equipment was never substantial.

Moreover, dealing with the Zerg consumed ammunition at an alarming rate.

As the estate was on the verge of falling, all members of the Jiang Family fell into despair.

Some, already broken, even chose to take their own lives.

”Is this the end...” Jiang Shasha looked at the laser rifle in her hand, now out of energy, and the energy cartridges on her person completely depleted.

She stared hopelessly at the Zerg drawing closer and closer to the Jiang Family estate.

She never imagined her youth would end at this moment.

For some reason, she thought of that man.

The man who had once obeyed her every whim.

The man who later became someone she had to look up to.

She thought about how he had traveled thousands of miles into the Swarm to rescue his sister because of her safety.

If... she were still in that kind of relationship with him, would he also risk everything to save her?

”Jiang Shasha, were you really wrong?” Jiang Shasha closed her eyes.

Just then, shouts of surprise suddenly rang in her ears.

”Look! Starships!”

”It’s reinforcements! Reinforcements!”

Jiang Shasha opened her eyes in astonishment and, like the joyous crowd around her, looked up at the sky.

Several starships broke through the atmosphere, appearing before everyone’s eyes. Those starships began attacking the surrounding Interstellar Zerg.

At the same time, combat mechs were deployed onto the ground, and stellar drones began supporting the battlefield.

That was...

Jiang Shasha recognized those starships at first glance, along with their emblem!

T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser!

The Fierce Dragon Insignia!

This was Zhao Chen’s Fierce Dragon Fleet!
