My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Stars and Bright Moon, Sworn to Follow Even Unto Death

[Quarterly Mission: Possess Three Starships (System Product)

Mission Completed. Task Reward Available for Claim]

[Task Reward Claimed]

[Received 10 Task Points]

[Received 1000 System Points]

[Received T2 Super Soldier Serum]

[Received T2 Black Knight-class Light Interstellar Combat Mech Blueprint]

As expected, the rewards for the Quarterly Mission were quite generous, not disappointing Zhao Chen’s anticipation over the past month.

In addition to the regular rewards of 10 Task Points and 1000 System Points, Zhao Chen saw a familiar item.

T2 Super Soldier Serum.

It seemed this Super Soldier Serum was part of a series, with one for each level.

After injecting the T1 Super Soldier Serum before, Zhao Chen felt his physical fitness improve dramatically. Over the past month, he could easily lift raw materials heavier than himself and even spin and jump.

What would happen if he injected the T2 Super Soldier Serum?

Zhao Chen took a deep breath, focused his mind, and a vial of Super Soldier Serum identical to the previous one appeared in his hand.

If not for the ’Ⅱ’ symbol on it, Zhao Chen wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference between the two.

Recalling the ’sensation’ from his first injection, Zhao Chen sat down on his bed in advance, took a deep breath, and jabbed it into his arm.

”Hssssss...”

In an instant, Zhao Chen felt as if his head had been electrocuted. Every cell in his body trembled, and his consciousness seemed on the verge of leaving his body.

After several minutes of pain, a look of intense pleasure spread across Zhao Chen’s face. His mouth opened slightly, and his eyes narrowed.

This state lasted for half a minute before Zhao Chen reluctantly snapped back to reality.

He first threw a punch.

Whoosh

A fist shadow flashed by.

Zhao Chen looked around, walked directly to the bedside, and lifted the large bed with one hand, not straining in the slightest.

Looking at himself in the mirror, his gaze was more resolute, his facial features seemed more defined, and the muscles on his abdomen were more pronounced, just to the right degree.

”If I used my current strength to kick Old Chen back then, he’d probably lose his life,” Zhao Chen muttered.

This made him begin to look forward to the T3 Super Soldier Serum in this series. What would that feel like?

”I’ll think about that later,” Zhao Chen pulled his thoughts back and looked at the final reward from the mission just now.

T2 Black Knight-class Light Interstellar Combat Mech.

Weapons like Combat Mechs had actually become supporting players in this current interstellar era.

Nevertheless, Combat Mechs remained indispensable.

Because while starships can fight in the cosmic environment, what about conquering a planet?

If you simply want to eliminate the forces on a planet, you can have starships perform Orbital Bombardment, an Artillery Barrage.

But if you want to control the planet while causing minimal damage, then Combat Mechs become an essential weapon.

Note: While Combat Mechs and Interstellar Combat Mechs belong to the same weapon type, they are two completely different branches.

The former is generally deployed within the Ground Forces on a planet’s surface.

The latter can operate in the cosmic environment and can even engage in Starship Boarding Combat!

Zhao Chen examined the data on this interstellar combat mech.

[T2 Black Knight-class Light Interstellar Combat Mech

Type: Interstellar Combat Mech

Technology Level: T2

Mech Armor Strength: 40–50 units

Mech Cruising Speed: 10 knots stellar speed

Mech Maximum Speed: 30 knots stellar speed

Mech Height: 15.8 meters

Mass: 420 tons

Crew Complement: 1 person

Mech Weapons: Two 36-barrel Gatling-style Laser Cannons, 30-unit Small Missiles, one Black Knight Lightsaber]

The mech’s armor strength was already comparable to that of a T1 starship, and its equipped weapons could rival the firepower of a T1 starship, with the addition of melee weapons.

Its cruising speed was relatively slow, after all, it was just an interstellar combat mech, not a starship.

However, its short-term maximum speed could match the speed of some T2 starships.

(Some might wonder what the ”–” between the two numbers for mech armor strength means. It indicates that the strongest armor on the mech reaches 50 units in strength, while the weakest point is 40 units, with other areas falling somewhere in between.)

”We could build and deploy some interstellar combat mechs to stand by in the starship hangars. They might come in handy for future surface combat missions,” Zhao Chen muttered to himself.

After familiarizing himself with the interstellar combat mech, Zhao Chen glanced at his data interface.

[Host: Zhao Chen

Task Points: 20

Starship Count: 12 vessels

Tasks: None

Warehouse: T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser Technical Blueprint, T2 Bronze Eden-class Starship Blueprint, T2 Black Knight-class Light Interstellar Combat Mech Blueprint...]

Both the task points and System Points had been added. In addition to the 1,000 System Points earned this time, there were also the monthly points accumulated from the starships in October and November, totaling 160 System Points.

Zhao Chen pondered for a moment before opening the T2 store upgrade page.

[T2 System Store Upgrade Conditions

First Requirement: Exchange two T2-level items (2/2)

Second Requirement: Complete two C-grade System Missions (2/2)

Third Requirement: Consume 2,000 System Points for store upgrade (2950/2000)]

All three conditions for upgrading the T2 store had been met.

[Confirm consumption of 2,000 System Points to upgrade the T2 store to the T3 store]

’Confirm’

[2,000 System Points consumed. T2 store upgraded to T3 store]

[Your remaining System Points: 950]

[Congratulations on unlocking the T3 series items in the System Store. You have gained one opportunity to exchange for any item without requiring task points]

It was the same reward authority again, but after scanning the T3 series items, Zhao Chen found that their average price was around 6,000 System Points. As a ”poor devil” with no System Points to spare, he could only feast his eyes on them.

Afterward, Zhao Chen accompanied Charlotte to oversee the first sea trials of the T2 Black Rhinoceros-class interstellar heavy assault frigates.

A fleet of ten T2 Black Rhinoceros-class interstellar heavy assault frigates departed from the starport in formation.

They returned only after several hours.

The first sea trials were successfully completed.

Next, it was time to start purchasing some military supplies and living supplies. Zhao Chen still had plenty of funds in his account. While it might not be enough to build starships, it was more than sufficient to support the daily lives of over six hundred starforce female soldiers.

At the same time, Zhao Chen had specially prepared a banquet.

A New Year’s Eve Banquet!

This could be considered Zhao Chen’s first New Year’s Eve celebration since crossing into this world.

In the Starship Workshop, an open space was cleared and filled with abundant food and drinks, while the hottest music of the moment played in the background.

Some were dancing, some were eating and drinking to their heart’s content, and others were singing.

”This banquet must have cost quite a few Star Coins,” Charlotte remarked, taking a sip of some unknown brand of strong liquor as she looked at Zhao Chen and Lilith beside her.

Lilith replied, ”The total cost was 5,000 Star Coins.”

Charlotte shook her head. Five thousand Star Coins—back when she was in the Rebel Fleet, that would have been equivalent to several months’ worth of Food Allowance Standards.

Now, it had all been spent in a single night.

It could truly be described as extravagant.

”What, feeling the pinch?” Zhao Chen teased, looking at Charlotte.

Charlotte didn’t respond, but her expression said it all.

”Warriors of the Fierce Dragon Fleet, tell me! Are you happy?” Zhao Chen suddenly shouted.

Hearing their commander’s voice, everyone shouted in unison, ”Happy!”

Zhao Chen’s lips curved into a smile. He picked up a nearby wine glass, downed it in one gulp, and laughed, ”I, Zhao Chen, don’t have any grand ambitions.

I just don’t want to let down my family’s expectations. I want to build my Fierce Dragon Star System and Fierce Dragon Fleet well.

To let myself and those willing to follow me live well, live like human beings, live with hope!

Not just to survive, like puppets or wooden dolls.

At the same time, we must possess the strength to ensure no one can bully us!

Truth always lies within the Firing Range of starships!”

Many female soldiers paused their activities, their eyes filled with emotion as they gazed at their commander. Some even had red, swollen eyes.

”One year from today, I hope we can still raise our glasses in joy and dance under the moonlight! To our future!” Zhao Chen raised his glass once more.

Lilith stepped forward, placed her hand over her chest, and solemnly declared, ”Under the stars and the bright moon, we pledge to follow you to the death!”

”Under the stars and the bright moon, we pledge to follow you to the death!” the many female soldiers echoed in unison.

Zhao Chen tilted his head back and downed another glass of strong liquor.

At that moment, the time had arrived at the start of the new year.
