Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 404: Chapter 404 - There is no turning back

I sighed helplessly at how pitiful he looks laying weak like that. He looked so uncomfortable and in pain. I started cursing again in my head but this time it was towards the idea of resonance itself. I got distracted with my irritation though because I couldn’t help but remember a similar instance by the lake (Author’s Note: See Chapter 171 if you don’t remember) and I started to feel a headache coming in.

I walked slowly towards where he was laying and as expected, when I drew nearer to him, his heaving became more intense. His body’s reaction was quite strong to my presence. He was shivering as I saw him struggle to go back to the water to soak himself again. As his limbs have already weakened, he can barely move and eventually his hand slipped from the rock that he is leaning on to and he fell straight to the shallow area of the lake.

Sure, it was shallow but for someone who has weakened limbs and already have trouble with just breathing alone, it must have been similar to the feeling of swimming with both your legs having really bad cramps. I waited for a few seconds and his head finally bobbed out of the water surface. He was gasping for air and I can see his eyes were red and teary. I was staring at him and after a while, he finally noticed my presence by the shore.

His eyes showed surprised at first and then helplessness. I thought he would ask for help but as if he has already convinced himself that I did not care about his life and death, I saw him struggle to keep himself afloat and to swim towards the shore. Well, let’s just say that his mind was willing but his body, not so much as he isn’t moving that much towards the shore right now.

After barely a minute of struggling, he started bobbing up and down the water. I shouted at him teasingly, ”If I save you right now, you are mine for life. Are you willing?”

Even while struggling, I saw him look my way and I heard him curse, ”Damn it! Glug... I am drowning here and you just have to- Glug... blackmail me like that! Heartless! Glug... Glug... Cruel! My body being like this- Glug... Is this your fault?! Glug... Ahh! Fuck! Just help me already! Glug...”

I laughed out loud at how grumpy he was even when he is already drowning. I heard his flapping in the water become more urgent and loud so I got him out of his predicament by using my mana to fish him out. It seems like he is still in his right mind and resonance has not messed him up that much. Or so I thought...

After he floated out of the water, he coughed a bit and gasped greedily for air. He was glaring at me as if I was the one that pushed him into the water. I looked at him with one of my eyebrows raised, ”Blame yourself for resonating to me. Why are you blaming me? I did not push you in the water, you know?”

He was still glaring at me as he said, ”If you knew I was resonating with you, why are you avoiding me? You even watched me as I was drowning little by little. You are so mean!”

I chuckled again and then dropped him back to the lake with a plop but still made sure that his head stays above the water. He started flapping in the water in panic and he even screamed, ”Hey! Why are you throwing me back?! No! Please! I accept! I’m all yours! I agree! You are the kindest! You are the most beautiful! Have mercy!”

I laughed out loud at how he suddenly became a smooth talker when he was just a grumpy and drenched puppy a while ago. I teased him further as I lowered him further in the water, this time, the water reached just below his lips as I asked, ”I don’t believe you. You are just saying that because you are afraid of drowning. I don’t want to force you or anything.”

He screamed in frustration as he said, ”Aaarrrgghh! I am not being forced. I am already attracted to you the first time I saw you and that was even at a time that I only saw your back! Please let me out of the water!”

With a naughty smile, I finally plucked him out of the water and placed him gently on the shore near me. He looked up at me from his slumped position and I thought he would nag again but he started heaving again and his eyes became half-lidded and dazed. Oh, I forgot to keep a certain distance from him.

Though his legs were weak, he immediately tried to close the distance between us further as he literally crawled on the ground towards me. I stepped back a few times to avoid his approach and his body eventually slumped on the ground due to fatigue and muscle weakness from the resonance.

Now, the question remains, ”What am I going to do about this situation?”

I looked behind me and remembered that the cave was still there. I picked up Quintin and placed him on my left shoulder like a sack of rice. He laid limply on me without complaints as his body bounced while I was waking towards the cave,

After entering the cave, I chose one of the spacious and clean rooms inside the cave and started placing soft carpets, a huge bed, soft cushions, sheets, blankets and even pillows around. Since Quintin has already washed up quite well in the lake, I stripped him of all his clothes, dried him with some towels and then slid him on the bed then covered him with the blankets.

As if he suddenly went crazy, right after I placed him under the blankets, he grabbed my hand and started pulling me under the blankets as well like some kind of a tease. When he couldn’t pull me, he placed my hand on his chest then started dragging it down his torso towards the area between his legs.

I may have been able to not go through everything with Claude because I chose him on my own and not through resonance but this is a totally different case. Quintin is in front of me because of resonance.

Ugh. This guy has really lost it, asking for it by directly seducing me like this while here I am, trying my best not to act on pure instincts.
