Journey to Planar World

Soma Familia is an exploration-type Familia, but they also have a side business specializing in selling alcoholic beverages led by the God Soma.

The reputation of Soma Familia members is not very good in Orario.

In short, Soma makes very delicious wine, the kind that can even overwhelm gods. In the beginning of his Familia, he was like most other gods, coming for entertainment, finding children interesting, but after seeing their reactions after trying his wine, he became very disappointed, thinking that his followers were pathetic for letting the wine affect them so strongly. He eventually withdrew from everything except his hobby.

So Soma let his Familia commander take care of everything that was his responsibility so he could continue making wine. As long as they made money so he could continue making wine, he didn’t care. For him, all the children were not worth his time because they couldn’t resist the effects of the wine.

Soma Familia is only a Rank F Familia.

The number of Level 2 adventurers can be counted on one hand, and the rest are just Level 1 adventurers.

Ten people arrived as members of Soma Familia. They were so addicted to wine that they would do anything to get money, including looting from others. However, looting was the fastest way to accumulate wealth.

”Friend, that magic stone looks heavy. You just rest in the town of Rivira. We will return to give you the sales money later.”

The one speaking was a sturdy man carrying a heavy sword on his back. He was the only Level 2 adventurer among them.

Meanwhile, Rivira is a town created by adventurers located on the 18th Floor, which is one of the safe zones in the Dungeon.

”Do you think I will believe such an obvious lie? How foolish, even a child wouldn’t be fooled by you.”

Breathing heavily, Charlie stared at them with cold eyes.

”I suggest you comply, even though you are a Second Class Adventure, your exhausted condition is not suitable for continuing the fight any longer. We are ten people, killing you won’t be too difficult. Be smart and hand over the Goliath magic stone.”

Dropping all pretense, the sturdy man threatened. Behind him, his nine companions showed sinister grins.

”Boss, why bother talking to him? Just kill him! His equipment looks expensive, we’ll get a lot of money by selling it!”

”That’s right, we can buy a lot of wine made by Soma-sama! Just thinking about it makes my mouth drooling.”

”We won’t have this chance again! When else can we rob a helpless Second Class Adventurer because he’s tired.”

The nine members of Soma Familia stared at Charlie with greedy eyes.

For Low Class Adventurers like them, they barely made enough money.

Even the income of High Class Adventurers was not reliable, as they usually chose the Lower Floors that required a series of items, preparations, and money. They mostly lived based on trust, getting ”loans” for weapons and equipment, because they knew if they didn’t pay back, they wouldn’t be able to get them elsewhere.

So the net income of most adventurers was quite low, especially for those expected to be High Class Adventurers.

The average income of Level 1 adventurers was around 5000 valis per day. Therefore, when the ten members of Soma Familia saw the Goliath magic stone lying in front of them and Charlie’s exhausted condition, they took the risk of robbing from the Second Class Adventurer.

”Only ten people? Even if you guys add up all your Familia members, I won’t be intimidated at all. The world has passed the era where quantity is everything, this is the era where quality is most important!”

With trembling legs, Charlie struggled to stand, his expression showing his firm stance. Of course, he did not think he would lose to a group of Low Class Adventurers.

Of course, if he thought there was no chance of winning, he would not hesitate to escape. For him, his life was the most important, he didn’t care about honor and dignity.

The last one alive is the winner!

”Final warning, greed is the shortcut to inevitable destruction.”

”...”

Not only did they not heed the advice, the expressions of the ten members of Soma Familia showed anger.

”Enough with this nonsense. Because you refuse, blame yourself for being stubborn. Everyone, attack!”

The sturdy man ordered the attack. Then, the other nine drew their weapons and viciously charged.

”So that’s your answer...”

Drawing the Damocles Sword, Charlie clasped his palms together. Blue lightning sparks were clearly visible as he slowly stretched out his palms.

”Twin Maximize Magic: Chain Dragon Lightning.”

Fortunately, the long conversation gave him some time to recover a bit of Essence/Ode so he could use Spirit Art to copy the lightning magic of Naberal Gamma from the anime Overlord.

Villains die because they too much is not just a metaphor.

*ROARRR*

Two twin dragons created from lightning roared loudly.

”What is this?!? That person can use magic without an chanting!”

”Isn’t he just a swordsman? Why can he use magic!”

”Could it be he wasn’t serious when facing Goliath? Oh crap, we targeted the wrong person!”

Seeing this scene, their day was filled with regret. If they knew the other party could use magic instantly, they wouldn’t dare to rob him.

Unfortunately, there is no medicine for regret in this world.

”Die.”

Ignoring their pleas for mercy, Charlie shot dragon-shaped lightning towards them.

*KABOOM*

”AARGHH-” 10X

Instantly, the ten members of Soma Familia were struck by lightning until they died.

The smell of burnt flesh filled the air.

”Damn it, not now...”

Clutching his head, Charlie felt very dizzy. He knew he was experiencing Mind Zero, a condition when a mage uses Mana excessively.

”No, I can’t faint here... I have to... Find a hiding place...”

With staggering steps, he didn’t even glance at the Goliath magic stone on the ground, his current goal was just to hide so that other adventurers wouldn’t find him.

Although the Guild prohibits adventurers from killing each other, in reality, many adventurers break this rule. Moreover, who knows what happens in the Dungeon as long as no one talks about it.

Charlie was 100% sure that if he fainted and an adventurer found him. Even if he was lucky enough not to be killed, his equipment would be taken by others.

In the face of expensive and powerful equipment that could only be used by First-Class Adventurers, many adventurers couldn’t resist the temptation if they found someone unconscious in the Dungeon. Plus, Charlie had no backers, so other party didn’t need to worry about retaliation in the future.

”Shit... Is this the end... Misjudgment... I should have been more careful...”

His vision darkened, Charlie lost his balance, and his body fell backward. However, before his consciousness completely faded, he faintly heard the sound of the wind whistling accompanied by the unique fragrance of a beautiful woman. Then, he felt nothing more and fell unconscious.
