Journey to Planar World

The Dungeon existed long before the gods descended. It was a massive hole in the world from which monsters emerged.

The world was on the brink of destruction as monsters swarmed out of the Dungeon, and the entrance to the Dungeon was guarded by a very powerful monster.

Even though heroes always appeared to face these powerful Dungeon monsters, they could never fully eliminate the Dungeon. At best, the heroes could only drive back and suppress the Dungeon from overflowing.

Even a human hero, recognized as the Strongest Hero in history, Albert Waldstein, nicknamed the Sword Champion, could only wound one eye of the Black Dragon before he perished alongside his mercenary army.

Then, people built a tower over the Dungeon’s hole to prevent monsters from escaping to the surface. Unfortunately, that tower was destroyed by the gods.

Bored in Heaven, the gods descended to mingle with the creatures of the lower world because they found them interesting. Their aim was so perfect that they crashed directly into the tower and destroying it.

The gods apologized for the accidental destruction of the tower, though they wanted to do something a bit extravagant. Instead of just rebuilding it according to the original specifications, they designed it as a tall residence for all the gods and as a meeting place for both them and humans. The cost of housing skyrocketed, and now only wealthy gods could obtain luxurious apartments.

This is the history of the Dungeon and the Tower of Babel.

”So, the current Tower of Babel is not the original tower built by the ancestors in the past. The original was accidentally destroyed by the gods when they descended from Heaven.”

Charlie spent half an hour finishing reading both books.

Feeling it was enough, he left the room and returned to the hall.

He noticed that adventurers were already lined up in front of the staff counters.

”It seems that Elf are very popular among male adventurers.”

Sophie, Eina, and the other Elf had the longest lines of adventurers.

Not wanting to wait too long, Charlie looked for the counter with the shortest line. Then, he went to the least crowded counter.

Behind that counter was a beautiful woman with long red hair, wolf ears, and a tail.

Her name was Rose Fannett.

She had a strict personality toward male adventurers. As such, male adventurers were reluctant to deal with her even though she was beautiful.

Of course, Charlie didn’t know this.

”What do you need?” Rose asked, not showing the friendliness typical of other Guild staff.

”How long until the Goliath respawns?”

”Hm? Why are you asking this? You’re only Level 1; you’re not thinking of fighting the Goliath, are you? You’re just asking to die.”

Instead of answering, Rose sneered at the question. She recognized the handsome man in front of her.

Charlie was too famous because he was the only member of the Hera Familia in Orario. Plus, he seemed very close to Aphrodite, which made many people envious.

”You’re actually a nice person; your words may sound harsh, but in reality, you’re concerned about my safety.”

”W-What?! Who’s concerned about you!”

Her tail stood up, revealing her panicked mood, and Rose’s cheeks slightly reddened. She hadn’t expected her lie to be exposed so quickly.

In the past, her personality was very caring and gentle, making her popular among male adventurers. She wasn’t short of suitors and often received love confessions. However, she rejected these confessions because she didn’t want to be left alone after they died in the Dungeon.

”You might be able to fool others with your act, but not me. Before becoming an adventurer, my job was dealing with people who were skilled at lying and deceiving.” Charlie shrugged and spoke lightly.

Seeing the girl who had been harsh now embarrassed because her lie was uncovered, she looked very cute.

”Cough... Anyway, forget about fighting the Goliath. You’d better explore the Upper Floors; they’re more suitable for a low-level adventurer like you.”

Rose tried to hide her embarrassment, but her tail continued to wag happily from the compliment.

The Guild classified the Dungeon into four major floors: Upper Floors, Middle Floors, Lower Floors, and Deep Floors.

—The Upper Floors consist of Floors 1-12. These floors are ideal for adventurers just starting their exploration. Level 1 adventurers are recommended to explore here.

—The Middle Floors consist of Floors 13-17, known as the Cave Labyrinth. The layout is more complex, and monsters appear more frequently on the Middle Floors than on the Upper Floors, making it very difficult for Level 2 adventurers to solo in the Middle Floors.

—The Lower Floors consist of Floors 25-36. Floor 25 marks the beginning of the Great Fall. The standard for adventurers exploring the Water City is Level 3, as the area is filled with monsters that are almost unmanageable by Level 2 adventurers, and the terrain is more challenging than the floors above. Even a Level 4 adventurer would have difficulty exploring the area alone.

—The Deep Floors consist of Floors 37 and beyond. These floors are extremely dangerous even for First-Class Adventurers. It is not recommended to explore alone. The deepest floor explored so far is Floor 59.

The last part is a lie.

Charlie was a member of the Hera Familia, so he knew the truth that the Guild kept hidden.

In reality, Hera Familia and Zeus Familia had reached Floor 71!

The Guild deliberately concealed this prestigious achievement after the fall of both Familia.

”The Guild isn’t responsible for the lives and deaths of adventurers. Miss, you don’t have to be stubborn; just tell me when the Goliath respawns.” Charlie continued to press.

”No, I refuse to tell you.” Rose said firmly.

”I’m on the verge of leveling up, so I need high-quality Excelia. That’s why I want to defeat the Goliath. Can you help me?”

”Goliath is Level 4; you’re overestimating yourself. You’ll just die if you fight it.”

”Come on, why are you so concerned about the life and death of an adventurer? That’s not your job.”

”That’s up to me! If you don’t like it, just ask someone else.”

Charlie and Rose argued intensely, drawing the attention of the Guild staff next to Rose.

Her name was Misha Flott.

Misha had been watching them since Charlie arrived. Her type was handsome men like Charlie, so she was very attentive to him.

No matter the time or era, appearance is justice. Appearance can provide the most basic emotional value!

”Sigh, troublesome woman. You’re forcing me to do this.”

”Planning to use violence after arguing? Come on, just do it!”

Rose puffed out her ample chest without fear.

Seeing the conflict between the two reach its peak, Misha worried that Charlie might lose control.

”When does the Goliath respawn?”

To her surprise, Misha saw Charlie repeat the question he asked at the beginning. Strangely, this time Rose obediently answered.

”Two weeks ago, the Goliath was killed by members of the Loki Familia, so the Goliath will respawn today.”

”Eh?”

Misha’s eyes widened in shock at the scene.

”Today, huh... No wonder you wanted to stop me. Thanks for your cooperation, miss. See you.”

Having obtained the answer he wanted, Charlie didn’t linger at the Guild and quickly left.

He couldn’t let anyone realize that he had hypnotized Rose.

Among the adventurers present, he was sure someone noticed his actions.

Charlie had just hypnotized Rose with Spirit Art.

Spirit Art can manipulate natural phenomena, but the laws of nature can only be influenced, not completely dominated. Depending on the power of the Spirit Art user, one could ignore natural laws to create unnatural phenomena.

Hypnosis was one such unnatural phenomenon produced by Spirit Art!

”Huh? Where did that man go? Misha, do you know what happened?”

After Charlie left, Rose snapped out of the hypnosis.

”Rose, you don’t remember?”

”Remember what?”

”You seemed dazed and obediently answered Charlie-san’s question.”

”No way!”

Misha then recounted what she had seen to Rose.

”Damn it! That must have been some kind of hypnotic magic!” Rose gritted her teeth in anger.
