Journey to Planar World

The next day.

After finishing grocery shopping at the market, Charlie carried the shopping bags in his hands and arrived home, having declined invitations from two very enthusiastic Amazoness women who wanted him to join them in bed to obtain his seed.

”Amazonesses are more open-minded than Western women who are known to be loose.”

Walking into the kitchen, Charlie still wasn’t used to interacting with Amazonesses.

”Never mind, let’s start making breakfast.”

Removing the Eclipse Aegis and hanging it on the wall, and leaning the Sword of Damocles against the wall, he prepared the cooking ingredients.

Charlie skillfully used Spirit Art to fill a bucket with water.

Using the water to rinse kale, spinach, bean sprouts, and various other vegetables, he placed them into a large pot.

After arranging firewood in the stove, he ignited a fire using Spirit Art.

”Spirit Art is very versatile. No need to chant spells like ordinary Mages.”

After saying that, Charlie didn’t forget to boil two eggs in the pot.

”Now, this is the most crucial part that determines whether this meal will be tasty or not.”

With a serious expression, he ground peanuts into a fine paste, added a bit of water until the mixture thickened slightly, then added garlic and a bit of chili, stirring it all together.

*MUNCH* *MUNCH*

”Something’s still missing...”

Tasting the peanut sauce, Charlie frowned, unsatisfied with the flavor he had concocted.

After some trial and error, he finally achieved a satisfying taste for the peanut sauce.

”This should be just right.”

Nodding in satisfaction at his work, Charlie took the vegetables and boiled eggs from the pot.

Draining the water, he placed the vegetables on a plate, poured the peanut sauce over them, and mixed everything until it was evenly coated.

”Goddess Hera, breakfast is ready. Wake up, this meal won’t be good once it’s cold.”

Charlie used Spirit Art again, letting the wind carry his voice directly to Hera’s room.

As he set the plates on the dining table, Hera, who looked like she had just woken up with slightly disheveled hair, approached while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

”Use this to wash your face, Goddess Hera.”

Charlie brought a bucket of warm water and a towel.

”Mm.”

After washing her face with the wet towel, Hera looked more refreshed.

”You’re really good at taking care of others, Charlie.”

”This is normal. Any married man should be able to do household chores if his wife is sick.”

”Oh, the sense of responsibility among men in your world is quite high.”

Glancing at him who seemed busy, Hera sat at the dining table, eyeing the strange food before her.

”Is this edible? Isn’t this just plants?”

”This is gado-gado, a healthy and affordable breakfast popular in my country.”

Sitting across from her, Charlie began to eat.

Gado-gado is an Indonesian dish consisting of boiled vegetables mixed together, with a sauce made from ground peanuts, accompanied by slices of egg and sprinkled with fried onions on top.

”…”

Seeing him eat with relish, Hera hesitated for a moment, then tasted a bit.

”Not bad. Although it doesn’t look appealing, it actually tastes quite good.”

After one bite, her impression of gado-gado changed. Hera no longer hesitated and began eating the breakfast that was served.

Ten minutes later, breakfast was over.

As usual, Charlie cleaned the dining table and washed the dishes.

Finishing his cleaning duties, he donned his gear.

”I’m off, Goddess Hera. I’ll be back by evening.”

”Mm.”

Hera didn’t even ask where Charlie was going; she looked lazy as she lay on the sofa, reading a book.

Charlie left the house and headed into the forest. Once he felt he was far enough, gusts of wind began to swirl around him, lifting him into the air.

Then, he soared high into the sky.

”Flying on a plane and flying on your own give a different feeling. No wonder so many people develop technology like Iron Man.”

Maneuvering in the air, Charlie enjoyed flying like a bird.

Yesterday, he trained all day. The results were extraordinary; his mastery of Spirit Art had improved significantly. Using wind Spirit Art, he could fly freely!

In his previous life, Charlie was one of the gifted individuals, and now he had gained the natural talents of Karasuki Rio.

The combination of these two talented individuals was not simply 1+1=2!

Although many people say that talent does not determine future achievements, often those with better talent are able to reach their goals.

”Finding monsters from the air is more efficient.”

Flying over the vast forest, Charlie spotted a group of five Goblins.

The appearance of Goblins was not far off from what was depicted in anime and manga; they were green-skinned creatures with no hair, ugly faces, and short bodies.

”Air Slash.”

Charlie used Spirit Art to manipulate the wind into a razor-sharp crescent-shaped blade toward the group of Goblins on the ground.

*Pu-chi* *Pu-chi* *Pu-chi*

Without understanding what had happened, the five Goblins were easily killed.

”Announcing the name of the technique every time I use it… I feel like a chuunibyou.” Charlie felt a little embarrassed.

Of course, he didn’t announce the name of the technique to look cool in front of others, but for an important reason.

Unlike magic, Spirit Art doesn’t require a spell name to be cast, so it’s not really necessary to give each technique a name. However, since Spirit Art is a magical technique that places one’s will and imagination into the Essence/Ode to communicate with Mana and bring about different phenomena, the rationality of technique names leading to enhanced will and imagination is real.

Simply put, the technique name made it easier for Charlie to imagine when using Spirit Art.

”Let’s continue.”

Charlie used Spirit Art to enhance his extrasensory perception. This allowed him to detect the number and positions of monsters in the forest.

Goblins and Kobolds were very common monsters he encountered.

”Perhaps the Poseidon Familia has already wiped out the stronger monsters around Menel City.” Charlie speculated.

”No matter, sometimes quantity can overcome quality.”

Not too disappointed at not finding strong monsters, Charlie continued hunting and killing monsters with long-range attacks.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to train his swordsmanship, but there weren’t any monsters worthy enough to make him draw his sword.

Charlie only stopped when he felt his Essence/Ode was running low; he would then drink a Magic Potion, which would restore his energy.

Magic Potions weren’t too expensive, selling for fifteen thousand valis each.

Since he didn’t have much money left in his pocket, Charlie could only buy three Magic Potions.

That day, Charlie stopped counting the number of monsters he had killed after the 300th.

He only ceased his actions when dusk arrived.

”I think that’s enough. Let’s head back and ask Goddess Hera to update my status.”

Curious about his progress, Charlie shot across the sky like a falling star.
