Not Being a Trainer This Time

At the dining table, Lono touched her belly with a face full of curiosity.

Is she really going to have a baby?

The Pokemon beside her were also slowly realizing what had happened.

Her sister, Indeedee, showed a happy expression: ”Indeed~” It seems like the family will soon have another little life~

Koraidon was very excited, its little master, it would soon meet its little master, right?

The scene of the last parting was still vivid in its mind, the little master holding its claw, asking when it would come back...

And now, it wanted to say to the little master: It’s back.

Pawmot was curious, it also had a dad and mom, and knew what having a baby meant.

Naoki’s child... In the future, could they become good friends like in ”The Slugma-Powered Home”?

”Pawmo!” It’s so exciting! By then, they could all play hide and seek together!

Naoki quickly made some boiled fish, and after lunch, he handed over the ranch affairs to the Indeedee siblings to manage, while he drove with Lono, accompanied by Koraidon and Cyclizar, to Porto Marinada Town hospital.

The hospital doctor was startled by Koraidon, but upon understanding the couple’s intentions, started checking up on Lono.

Soon, the results were out.

”Congratulations, there’s already a baby in this lady’s belly.” The doctor smiled, looking at the young couple.

Hearing this, Naoki felt a bang, and he was suddenly stunned.

What? Really pregnant...

Does this mean he’s about to become a dad?!

In his mind flashed the image of holding a cute child’s hand, hearing the tender voice calling him dad, and Naoki suddenly felt like he was going to cry.

This is wonderful!

”Pay attention after returning home, don’t overexert yourself, rest more, and supplement nutrition, so the baby grows healthy.” The doctor advised.

”Okay!” Naoki, overwhelmed with emotion, said to Lono on the way back: ”From today, you should rest at home, no need to go to the Gym, just ask Geeta for maternity leave!”

Lono, though feeling excited, was a bit speechless seeing Naoki this way: ”... Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?”

”You heard the doctor too.” Naoki repeated: ”Rest, don’t overexert, Porto Marinada Town and Levincia City are so far, Dragonite flies too fast, what if, not paying attention, you get sick?”

”I shouldn’t be that fragile, right?” Lono felt slightly unsure hearing this, she initially thought it was nothing.

”It’s better to be cautious.” With this, Naoki took out his phone, dialed Geeta’s number, explained the situation, and planned to help Lono apply for a long leave.

”Congratulations to both of you.” Geeta’s cheerful voice came through: ”It’s just... not managing the Levincia Gym for such a long time may affect this year’s League Competition.”

Geeta’s voice sounded a bit troubled,

This year, the Paldea League has reformed, intending to hold a League Competition like other regions, allowing Trainers who collected eight badges to battle and determine the strongest.

And now, the Levincia Gym was facing issues...

Lono also felt this wasn’t so good: ”It’s not that exaggerated! I feel pretty fine now, and Pokemon battles don’t require intense movements, you just need to give orders verbally.”

Naoki: ”...”

He started to reflect if he was being too tense.

On the other end, Geeta listened to the couple’s conversation, the corners of her mouth slightly curling up.

She casually suggested: ”However, if you can find an excellent Trainer to oversee Levincia Gym, I think Lono can rest properly.”

”What?” Naoki and Lono were slightly stunned.

Geeta explained: ”In the Paldea Region, such things are allowed, Lono’s Gym is an Electric Type Gym, as long as you find a Trainer with six Electric Type Pokemon, and the strength not less than Gym Leader Level, they can substitute for Lono.”

Can it be like this?

Naoki was quite surprised, but the problem is, where can he find a Trainer meeting these requirements to be the temporary Gym Leader for Levincia Gym?

Wait!

Naoki suddenly thought of something.

Although he’s not a professional Trainer, he does have some Electric Type Pokemon by his side, and their strength is not inferior to Gym Leader Level.

Then, could he do it?

Thinking of this, Naoki opened his mouth to ask: ”Can I?”

Hearing this, Lono was slightly stunned, looking over in disbelief.

And Geeta on the other end smiled and confirmed: ”Of course you can! Naoki, your strength is well acknowledged by us, as long as you have six Electric Type Pokemon, you can substitute for Lono.”

Electric Type Pokemon...

Pawmot counts as one, Jolteon counts as one, Zapdos currently at the World Tree can also come to help.

Besides these, Mewtwo’s Pikachu also comes with it, but with the Pokemon at the World Tree, there are currently only four Pokemon in the ranch.

”Of course, it’s not limited to Electric Type Pokemon.” At this point, Geeta spoke again: ”If a Pokemon has Electric Type when Terastalized, it can also be used in Gym battles!”

This solved Naoki’s urgent problem, with so many Pokemon at the ranch and World Tree, there surely would be Pokemon with Electric Tera Type.

So in that case, he just needed to go back and check with Tera Energy which of the Pokemon had Electric Tera Type.
