Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 1229: Chapter 565: Rare Items from the Incredible Dungeon

In the spring of League Year 202, it was warmer than in previous years. The melting snow from winter turned into nutrients soaking into the earth, making the flowers, grass, and trees on the plains flourish.

The fruit trees were laden with heavy fruits. The Skwovet, who had holed up in a cave throughout the winter, rubbed its eyes, pushed aside the stone blocking the cave, and the bright, warm sunlight poured down on its body.

The Skwovet felt the breeze and stretched lazily, hungry and ready to search for food!

Basking in the warm sunlight, the Skwovet quickly found a fruit tree. Nimbly it jumped onto the tree, and upon seeing the plump berries, its eyes filled with a longing light.

The Skwovet reached out with a tiny paw to touch the berries, but just then, a gust of wind blew it off the branch.

Embarrassed, the Skwovet stood up on the grass and cursed at the sky.

The Fletchinder flew low overhead, without reducing its speed in the least.

It flew and flew, over the plains below, over the forest, over the river, and finally reached a bustling farm.

Team Rocket planned to rest here. Just as it landed on the roof, human voices came from below.

“I’m off to work!”

Lono stepped out of the house, tiptoed to peck a kiss on Naoki’s cheek, then giggled while mounting Dragonite and waving goodbye energetically:

“See you later! And you too, Greavard!”

Lono picked up Greavard and bumped heads with it.

Immediately, Greavard’s tail wagged even more fiercely.

“Off you go!” Naoki stood under the eaves, watching Lono’s figure gradually recede with Greavard.

Only when Lono was out of sight did he withdraw his gaze.

Looking over the farm bathed in golden sunlight, Naoki took a deep breath and headed to the fields; a new day was starting!

The farmland that had been covered in snow all winter was ready for a new round of crops. Naoki had already bought seeds in advance, and with Koraidon and Dugtrio and other Pokemon, he began his busy work.

Turning the soil, scattering seeds, watering…

Gazing at the damp soil in the fields, Naoki felt that life after marriage seemed no different from before.

Just then, Sylveon ran over excitedly, asking:

“Buee? (Naoki Naoki, do you have any plans today?)”

Naoki understood Sylveon’s thoughts but couldn’t help teasing this adorable Pokemon.

“Plans? Next, I have to fix the fence; some wild Pokemon damaged it.”

Sylveon asked again: “Buee? (What about after that?)”

Naoki thought for a moment and added: “I will go to the Berry Garden to pick berries, pack the extra berries, and deliver them to the shops in town.”

Some dessert and Pokemon snack shops in Porto Marinada Town have been ordering berries from him.

“Buee…” Naoki has so much to do…

Sylveon continued asking: “Buee? (What about after picking the berries?)”

“Then it will be time to prepare food for everyone at noon.” Naoki replied.

Upon hearing this, Sylveon became anxious; Naoki promised it!

Seeing this, Naoki couldn’t help but laugh: “Alright, alright, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten that thing. After lunch, I’ll find a way to help you with strength training, okay?”

Upon hearing this, Sylveon turned from worry to joy, excitedly cheering: “Buee! Yay!”

With the seeds planted, Naoki took his tools and went to repair the fence around the farm.

The Gogoat, lounging leisurely on the grass in the sun, saw Naoki leave and stood up, walking to the field’s edge.

The next moment, a terrifying Grass Type Energy surged from them.

Where the energy passed through, the crop seeds buried in the soil began to grow rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye.

In the blink of an eye, the fields grew crops hung with heavy fruits.

“Meaaah!” The Gogoat were highly satisfied with their masterpiece, Naoki would surely be very happy to see it, right?

Mission accomplished, the Gogoat retreated gracefully, hiding their accomplishments and fame.

“There are more wild Pokemon lately!”

Probably because winter is over and the hungry Pokemon are going out to search for food?

Looking at the damaged fence nearby, Naoki frowned slightly.

All along, he had a laissez-faire attitude toward those wild Pokemon because the farm didn’t lack food, and plenty of berries grew, so when nearby wild Pokemon snuck into the Berry Garden to steal berries, Naoki pretended not to see.

“Aaaaghis?” Koraidon noticed the destroyed fence and couldn’t help but ask.

If Naoki needed, it could come over anytime to guard the Berry Garden and prevent those wild Pokemon from intruding!

Seeing Koraidon’s determined look, Naoki chuckled and shook his head:

“Let’s forget it; I don’t think that Pokemon meant to destroy the fence.”

“Aaaaghis?” Koraidon looked confused.

Naoki pointed at the destroyed area and said: “You see, the area of the fence that was damaged is large, indicating that the Pokemon was big and couldn’t fly. It couldn’t get over the fence, so it had to break the fence to get in.”

“Aaaaghis…”

“It’s okay; we’ll install a small gate here later to make it easier for non-flying Pokemon to go in and out.” Naoki said.
