Not Being a Trainer This Time

Isn’t that Kyurem?

Kyurem, a Dragon + Ice type, one of the Three Dragons of the Tao, a Legendary Pokemon from the Unova Region.

Although there are rumors in Lacunosa Town about a fierce and terrifying beast appearing at night, accompanied by cold winds, capturing and eating human children, the real Kyurem doesn’t actually eat children, right?

In Naoki’s impression, Kyurem is the kind of Pokemon that’s cold on the outside but warm on the inside.

As the saying goes, no matter how cold a Pokemon’s exterior is, it always possesses a warm heart.

Kyurem proved this saying with its actions. In the anime, it even helped Keldeo, one of the Sacred Swordsmen, awaken the Sacred Sword.

Thinking of this, Naoki found himself at a loss for words.

He looked at Sylveon and asked, ”Who told you about this?”

Sylveon: ”Eevee! Eevee!” It was Ho-oh!

Naoki: ”...”

Who would have thought that the rumor about Kyurem eating children wasn’t only widespread in the human world but known among Pokemon too?

What surprised Naoki even more was that the legend from the Unova Region had spread to the Paldea Region.

But considering it was Ho-oh, Naoki found this quite reasonable.

After all, Ho-oh is famously known as a photographer in the Pokemon World... hearing some local rumors while wandering around is quite normal.

”So, you wouldn’t be thinking of taking down that evil dragon, would you?” Watching Sylveon’s expression, and recalling its previous words about wanting to become a hero, Naoki couldn’t help but widen his eyes.

How incredible! His Pokemon actually has the idea of defeating Kyurem!

”Eevee...” Sylveon looked troubled, then lifted its head to look at Naoki with a look of admiration, saying, ”Eevee? Eevee?” (You’ll help me become stronger, right?)

It’s still too weak now, not a match for that Pokemon.

But as long as Naoki is around, one day it will become a match for that Pokemon!

It had heard stories of how Naoki raised Pawmot, Gogoat, and Dragonite into powerful Pokemon!

”Huh?” Hearing Sylveon’s words, Naoki was very surprised, ”You want to become a strong Pokemon too?”

”Eevee!” Sylveon nodded.

”Well, it’s possible, but it might be very tough!” Naoki began giving Sylveon a pre-warning.

Although with other Trainers it’s primarily training with food therapy as supplementary, here it’s food therapy as primary, training as supplementary.

Besides self-training and practice moves, Pokemon rely more on his luck and inspiration.

If the right cuisine is made, it will greatly enhance the Pokemon’s strength.

And the existence that could greatly enhance Sylveon’s strength...

The first thing Naoki thought of was Xerneas, also a Fairy Type.

Xerneas, a Legendary Pokemon from the Kalos Region, is also known as the ”Life God.” Its body contains a large amount of Life Spiritual Power, with a natural Fairy Aura around it. It is said that Xerneas can share eternal life.

”Maybe Xerneas can help Sylveon achieve metamorphosis,” Naoki thought.

Of course, this doesn’t mean hunting Xerneas to use it for cooking.

According to Naoki’s speculation and his understanding of the nature of the game he developed in his past life, the plants or vegetables around where Xerneas usually resides must more or less have absorbed some of its Fairy Aura, transforming into special crops.

Much like how water and plants in the Reversed World brim with Reversing Power.

Then, by finding an opportunity to pick some vegetables and Berries near Xerneas to make dishes and feed them to Sylveon, it might greatly enhance Sylveon’s Fairy Type, steering it towards becoming a Dragon Slayer Warrior.

After a short contemplation, Naoki had a rough plan in mind.

But it was not yet perfect since he had not yet encountered Xerneas.

After some thought, Naoki said to Sylveon, ”I understand, I’ll find a way to help you get stronger, but we need to go outside for that, which might not be possible in these few months.”

Hearing Naoki agree to help it get stronger, Sylveon was very happy, but upon hearing it’s not possible now, it asked in confusion, ”Eevee?”

Naoki replied, ”Because the Creator God is about to awaken, having lost its sanity, it will punish humans, so everyone is preparing for this matter. Once this is over, we won’t have anything else to do.”

”Then we can slowly help you become stronger until you become a powerful Sylveon. Also, I’ve heard of that Evil Dragon Pokemon you mentioned, so by then, I’ll take you to challenge it.”

Sylveon’s beautiful blue eyes blinked, and it obediently said, ”Eevee!”

A thousand years ago, in Midina.

Red light enveloped the sky, and a massive meteorite descended from the sky with a destructive force. It breached the atmosphere, its tail igniting in burning flames due to friction.

Damos stood on this barren land, looking up at this magnificent yet flamboyant apocalyptic scene.

The tribespeople had been informed in advance and had evacuated. As someone born and raised in this land, Damos couldn’t leave the place that bore and nurtured him.

The terrifying air pressure swept in, the surging air current blew the hem of Damos’s clothes. His gaze remained focused on the meteorite in the sky, quietly waiting for death to arrive.

But just then, a bright and sacred light suddenly flickered from the edge of the sky, immediately capturing Damos’s attention.
