Not Being a Trainer This Time

And Naoki gave Glaceon a knowing look.

No wonder it’s the Eevee he’s been with the longest! Truly reliable!

”Vee...” Glaceon gently exhaled.

After all, these Eevees were ones it watched hatch from eggs and grow up, and it didn’t want to see any conflict arise among them.

This feeling is probably similar to how Dragonite parents view Dratini! Glaceon thought.

No, it’s still different.

Glaceon thought about how Dragonite parents carelessly handed Dratini’s egg over to Naoki, completely indifferent, and swiftly dismissed its previous thought.

The other Eevees, on their way to the World Tree, suddenly noticed Glaceon wasn’t coming along, so they stopped and called out to it.

Only then did Glaceon catch up.

Watching the group of Eevees from behind, Naoki shook his head helplessly.

He returned to the living room and stored away the Mewnium Z, Electrium Z, and Fightinium Z crystals that weren’t needed for now, only keeping the Grassium Z for Calyrex and the Water Z for Kyogre.

Now that all things that needed doing were done, the next step was to slowly wait on the ranch for the awakening of Arceus and for the plot to unfold.

However, while storing the Z Crystals, Naoki suddenly noticed the Tera Orb in the drawer.

This was a gift from Professor Sada a few years ago when he visited the Area Zero Research Institute.

Naoki suddenly recalled something: can Pokémon use Z Moves when they Terastalize?

Terastalization can enhance the power of Pokémon’s moves, and Z Moves achieve the same effect.

If that’s the case, it would maximize the attack power of Calyrex or Kyogre.

With this thought, Naoki immediately found Pawmot and tried using Electrium Z.

The answer was yes.

In this way, their chances of success increased significantly.

Everything is ready except for the crucial catalyst.

Next is to slowly wait for Arceus to awaken.

Alliance Year 201 May 20th, Summer.

Since the end of the journey in Alola, Naoki’s life had returned to its usual tranquility.

Today was the day Chansey returned after completing its studies.

After several months of learning at the Pokemon Center, it had fully mastered knowledge of identifying Pokemon injuries and berries.

Early in the morning, it bid farewell to Naoki and, with a heart set on helping injured Pokemon, went to the Explorer Team Guild to begin its career as a Pokemon Doctor.

After sending Chansey to the World Tree, Naoki returned to the ranch.

Summer arrived, the weather gradually turned hot, and he was going to be busy again, as his primary job was still being a rancher.

The fields were replaced with crops suitable for summer planting, with Dragonite standing nearby summoning rain clouds to help water the land.

Looking at the thriving fields before him, Naoki felt an immense sense of fulfillment.

This is the life he wanted!

”Dugtrio, thank you for your hard work!” Naoki looked at the Dugtrio helping to plow the land and asked with a smile: ”Is there anything you want to eat? You can order now! I’ll go make it for you.”

”Dig dig dig?!” Hearing this, Dugtrio’s eyes lit up instantly; it wanted three extra-large sandwiches, so each head could have one!

”Alright, I’ll go make them now.”

Naoki laughed as he returned to the living room, and as he pushed open the door, the home videophone suddenly rang.

”Huh?”

Naoki was a bit surprised, as since the advent of the internet era, the home videophone wasn’t used much.

Even though he had that number as the official number for Naoki Ranch, it was rarely dialed.

Because everyone in town was familiar with the ranch and maintained the habit of ordering from it.

Naoki connected the call, and soon Professor Oak’s voice came through.

”Hello, is that Naoki?”

”Professor Oak?” Naoki was puzzled: ”Why are you calling this number?”

”Haha, I lost my Rotom Phone, and now I can only find your old number.” Professor Oak explained.

Naoki: ”...”

”Okay, does the call have a purpose then?” Naoki asked.

Professor Oak grinned and said: ”Here’s the thing, I’m planning to host a summer camp for the trainers in Pallet Town, but I haven’t decided on a location yet. I know your ranch is home to many Pokémon, so I wanted to ask if you have the time to let me bring the kids over.”
