Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 336: Chapter 221: Homeland Reconstruction Plan (Double Release)

8:00 am.

Geeta arrived at Porto Marinada Town by helicopter.

As the current Chief Champion of the Paldea League, her duties are not only to recruit talent for the League but also to maintain the peace and stability of the Paldea Region.

Faced with such an incident, Geeta rushed to Porto Marinada Town immediately.

Upon learning of the Chief Champion’s arrival, Miss Jenny, who was searching for the injured, immediately came to report last night’s situation to her.

Jenny: ”The fire occurred around 4 a.m., caused by a trainer camping in the mountains who forgot to extinguish the campfire, resulting in sparks landing on some dry leaves nearby.”

”At 4:10 a.m., both the fire department and the police received emergency calls. By the time the fire department arrived, the fire had been burning for twenty minutes, and the flames had spread to further distances.”

”The fire department immediately began firefighting efforts, but this season there are many combustible materials in the mountains, and the fire was fierce. We could only create firebreaks to prevent the fire from spreading, but couldn’t extinguish the entire blaze quickly.”

”In a moment of crisis, a...” At this point, Miss Jenny paused and then continued, ”A trainer came to our aid, deploying a Dragonite, and that Dragonite used Rain Dance, thus the flames began to weaken.”

”By six in the morning, the entire mountain fire was completely extinguished, and after that, we immediately began rescue operations.”

Geeta listened to Jenny’s report as she headed into the mountains.

Upon hearing that a trainer had dispatched Dragonite to use Rain Dance to extinguish the fire, she couldn’t help but ask, ”Doesn’t the fire department have any Pokemon that know how to use Rain Dance?”

”They do have.” Miss Jenny’s expression was peculiar: ”It’s just that those Pokemon lack power, both in terms of the coverage area of Rain Dance and the rainfall, which were too small to completely curb the spread of the fire.”

”And that trainer’s Dragonite...”

Miss Jenny imagined it and described:

”It has mastered the move Rain Dance to an incredible degree. That wasn’t a regular Rain Dance; it was a torrential downpour that enveloped the entire back mountain. Thanks to it, this fire was quickly brought under control.”

Upon hearing this, Geeta showed a surprised expression.

A Dragonite that has practiced Rain Dance to such an incredible level?

That is indeed rare. Though Dragonite are quite rare, throughout her long career as a trainer, she has seen a few with other trainers.

However, unlike moves like Rain Dance which are terrain-type weather moves, those trainers focus more on practicing moves like Outrage and Dragon Tail.

Various past scenes flashed through Geeta’s mind, and she nodded, saying, ”It seems we must properly thank that trainer.”

As they spoke, the two formally entered the back mountain.

Before coming here, Geeta had imagined countless horrific scenes.

However, when she truly stepped here, what she saw was a scene full of green grass and vitality.

Geeta was taken aback on the spot, but soon she noticed something was amiss.

That wasn’t real grass, but a Grassy Terrain formed by Grass Type Energy!

Geeta suddenly lifted her head, and then she saw the entire mountain enveloped in a layer of green light.

As the wind blew, thousands of blades of grass swayed gently in the breeze.

Geeta: ”?”

The Chief Champion’s head was filled with a question mark.

Seeing this, Miss Jenny took the initiative to explain:

”This Grassy Terrain was also a move used by that trainer’s Pokemon. Though I haven’t seen it, Nurse Joy says it was three Gogoat.”

Speaking of this, Jenny’s face showed a grateful smile: ”Thanks to them, the rescue team gained more time.”

Even without explanation, Geeta understood.

Grassy Terrain... This is a move that can restore the stamina of Pokemon.

Her face remained calm, but inside she was very shocked.

What kind of Pokemon can use such a large-scale Grassy Terrain?

It happens she has a Gogoat in her lineup too.

Could her Gogoat do the same? Geeta asked herself.

She couldn’t.

”What kind of person is he?” Geeta asked.

Miss Jenny recalled Naoki, and even her usually stern face couldn’t help but reveal a small smile:

”He’s a very gentle person; he really loves Pokemon and runs a ranch here. Oh, and by the way, although I haven’t seen those three Gogoat, I have tasted the milk they produced.”

”Not just me; everyone in town has heard of those three Gogoat, because the milk they produce makes people’s bodies healthier.”

Geeta was stunned: ”...A rancher?”

Jenny thought for a moment and said, ”He came to town in the spring, and I heard that he traveled the world before, so maybe before running a ranch, he was a very skilled trainer.”

Geeta tried to remain calm: ”I see.”

She must visit him later, Geeta thought.

But now, they have more important things to do.

*

”Come on! Keep it up!”

Naoki watched the Gogoat in front of him still striving to maintain the Grassy Terrain, cheering them on as he fed them Grassy Seed.

In just half an hour, with the help of Grassy Terrain, many wild Pokemon regained some stamina.
