Chapter 311: Chapter 212: Drunken Mewtwo (4k)

Mewtwo?

Seeing the figure of the newcomer, Naoki froze on the spot.

At that moment, many thoughts raced through his mind.

Why did this figure suddenly show up on his turf?

Or rather, how did Mewtwo know about this place?

Naoki suddenly remembered the photo that Teddiursa and Mew had sent back earlier.

The one taken with Mewtwo and those cloned Pokemon.

Thinking of this, Naoki had a rough idea in mind.

He stood there for a long time without coming back to his senses, whereas his sister, Indeedee, after a momentary surprise, gave Mewtwo and the cloned Pokemon a warm smile.

”Ai yi~” (Welcome~)

Mewtwo said nothing.

Its gaze calmly swept over the Pokemon in the tavern, finally resting on the only human in the room.

Mewtwo thought to itself: ”So this is the human chosen by Mew?”

”He doesn’t seem any different from the humans I’ve seen before.”

”No, perhaps I haven’t discovered it yet. The memories from Mew and Teddiursa tell me his name should be Naoki.”

”Naoki...”

Mewtwo silently repeated the name in its heart.

Seeing that this Pokemon seemed unfriendly, Indeedee couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

The presence it gave off was quite intimidating, and it was trailing a large group of menacing Pokemon behind it.

She cautiously glanced at Naoki.

Naoki gave her a reassuring look, smiled, and said, ”Welcome to the Pokemon Tavern, a place specifically catered for Pokemon. May I ask what you would like to drink?”

Hearing this, Mewtwo was slightly taken aback.

It was only then that it recalled the purpose of its visit.

After the last encounter with Mew and Teddiursa, they had gone to a natural secret realm named Mount Quena to live in seclusion.

But soon after, some humans with ill intentions invaded, attempting to capture them.

In the end, with the help of Ash and others, they thwarted Team Rocket’s plot, and Mewtwo erased those humans’ memories.

After the Mount Quena incident was over, it intended to find a place to continue its secluded life with those cloned Pokemon like itself.

But for some unknown reason, midway, it suddenly remembered the memories shown to it by Teddiursa and Mew.

A human willing to help Pokemon selflessly.

Thus, carrying with it a reason even unknown to itself, Mewtwo changed its route, as if seeking some answers or simply wanting to see the place Mew had once visited.

Mewtwo remained silent.

Not only Naoki, but even the other Pokemon patrons in the tavern noticed this peculiar figure.

Naoki noticed that Mewtwo’s expression was remarkably calm, not as confused or tormented, and didn’t seem as antagonistic towards humans as depicted in the animation.

After a brief contemplation, Naoki guessed that it must have undergone the Mount Quena incident.

At this point, Mewtwo had undergone significant changes in its personality compared to initially.

It no longer sought to prove its strength but instead wished for a peaceful life for itself and the cloned Pokemon.

With this thought, Naoki decided not to say much to this ”special” legendary Pokemon, simply suggesting:

”Since you’re undecided, why not come in for a drink first?”

Mewtwo glanced at him, then stepped inside.

The cloned Pokemon behind it followed suit.

In an instant, the tavern became even more cramped.

The space was limited, so they had to crowd at a table with the town’s Pokemon.

For those curious, bound Pokemon like Machamp and Quaquaval appeared very interested in them.

A few lively Pokemon stepped forward to enquire about their origins.

The cloned Pokemon exchanged glances and then responded somewhat nervously: ”Pika pika...” (From a very, very far away place...)

Upon hearing this, the interrogating Pikachu let out an enthusiastic growl, much like the hospitable people of Porto Marinada Town.

”Pikachu!” (Then you must enjoy the drinks here, Naoki and Indeedee’s food is the most delicious in the world!)

The cloned Pokemon looked at each other, unsure how to respond.

Seeing this, Naoki asked his brother Indeedee to entertain the curious cloned Pokemon, bringing them Berry Milk and sandwiches.

Despite their complicated origins and the many distressing experiences they’ve endured, these cloned Pokemon remained innocent and simple at heart.

So before long, they were eating and mingling with the town’s Pokemon.

Mewtwo stood at the bar, silently watching this scene.

It mused to itself: ”The memories from Teddiursa and Mew were true.”

”The smiles on these Pokemon’s faces are genuine; they sincerely believe this human is a good person.”

”I never imagined such a place existed in this world. If I were a Pokemon, I might also like it here. No...I should also be considered a Pokemon.”

Suddenly, a drink with a rather unappealing smell was pushed toward it.

Mewtwo’s attention was immediately drawn to it.

It lifted its head and looked at the man named Naoki.

Seeing Mewtwo’s appearance, Naoki couldn’t help but wonder to himself:

”Shouldn’t Mewtwo be capable of telepathy? Why hasn’t it spoken, could it possibly, like Giratina, disdain speaking to humans? No, as far as I know, Mewtwo’s personality shouldn’t be like that.”
