Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Chapter 1156: Chapter 1156: Picking Up from the Airport

Following his routine, after the surgery, He Kun went back to his apartment to rest. At 11 PM, he was awakened by his alarm clock.

He Kun washed his face and felt completely refreshed. He leisurely walked out of the apartment, headed to the outpatient building, and made his way to the Dean’s office to discuss the surgical details with Gao Pengfei.

Knock, knock, knock. He Kun knocked on the office door.

Under normal circumstances, Gao Pengfei would have left work by this time, but to witness He Kun being humiliated, Gao Pengfei had stayed late into the night.

”Come in,” Gao Pengfei raised his eyebrows, guessing who the visitor might be.

With the creak of the door, He Kun pushed it open, not dallying, and went straight to the point, ”Dean Gao, I’m here to confirm the details of the surgery at midnight.”

”What surgery? Hasn’t Mr. Li’s surgery already been completed?” Gao Pengfei feigned confusion.

He Kun furrowed his brow, not understanding what Gao Pengfei was playing at: ”Dean Gao, it’s about Gao Lanhua’s surgery, haven’t I already notified you?”

”Gao Lanhua?” Gao Pengfei feigned sudden realization!

Gao Pengfei slapped his forehead, ”Look at this, there’s so much going on in the hospital, I would have completely forgotten if Professor He hadn’t come here in person. Professor He, you don’t need to prepare for Gao Lanhua’s surgery, just go back and rest!”

”Don’t need to prepare? What do you mean by that, Dean Gao?” He Kun looked baffled, unsure of what was happening.

”It’s like this, Gao Lanhua’s son, Xiong Zhan, has insisted on changing the chief surgeon.”

”What? The patient’s family wants to change the chief surgeon? Dean Gao, did you explain my situation to them?” A displeased expression appeared on He Kun’s face.

”How could I not? I’ve almost talked myself dry! But they are adamantly replacing the chief surgeon, and there’s nothing I can do!” Gao Pengfei kept shaking his head.

”Interesting, in Dragon Country, there’s someone who dares to cut me off? Dean Gao, I want to know which professor or expert will be replacing me as the chief surgeon. I need to have a good talk with them!”

”It’s our hospital’s Dean Qin.” Gao Pengfei maliciously omitted mentioning Holly Rosie.

”Dean Qin? Heh... since when does your esteemed hospital have a Dean Qin?” He Kun sneered.

With a sly smile, Gao Pengfei replied, ”Dean Qin is our hospital’s honorary dean. He doesn’t usually come in to work, and I also don’t know why he has suddenly taken an interest in Gao Lanhua’s surgery.”

Honorary Dean?

He Kun’s gaze sharpened. Usually, only those with exceptionally high medical skills qualify to be an honorary dean, which made He Kun’s expression turn solemn.

”Do you know when this Dean Qin will arrive? I need to have a thorough exchange with him.”

”He should be here shortly, I guess? Gao Lanhua’s surgery is scheduled for one in the morning. I suppose Dean Qin will return before midnight. As soon as Dean Qin arrives, I’ll immediately let Professor He know.”

”Alright, then I’ll wait for the news from Dean Gao.”

...

Qin Yu freshened up, changed into an evening gown designed by the old Karl, and then went downstairs to drive to Luo City International Airport.

As he was halfway there, it was as if Qin Yu remembered something. Suddenly, he turned the car around and headed to a women’s clothing store. After buying a women’s down jacket, he continued on to the airport.

At midnight precisely, Qin Yu arrived at Luo City International Airport and parked his car at terminal two for arrivals.

The international flight from JJS to Luo City landed on time. Holly Rosie followed the crowd out of the arrival gate, turned on her phone, and saw the message from Qin Yu.

With guidance from the staff, Holly Rosie made her way to the terminal two arrival gate as the message had directed.
