Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

46: [Chapter 0046] Tracking 46: [Chapter 0046] Tracking “Alright,” Qin Yu responded listlessly.

Kaman started the engine and headed towards Mingdu Garden.

Qin Yu had been lethargically dozing off in the passenger seat, but halfway there, his eyes suddenly popped open!

He had a nagging feeling that someone was following them.

Looking in the side mirror, he saw a Toyota SUV closely trailing them.

Qin Yu was certain, beyond any doubt, that the Toyota SUV was targeting them!

“Wife, I’m not going home.

I’m going to sleep over at your place,” he blurted out, fearing that the pursuer was after Su Ziyan.

Squeal…

Su Ziyan hit the accelerator hard, almost choked by Qin Yu’s sudden declaration!

Su Ziyan said coldly, “Qin Yu, don’t go too far!

Our agreement clearly states that the man cannot go to the woman’s house without her consent.”

“Is there such a clause?

I didn’t read it carefully,” he scratched his head, thinking that this rule was unscientific and definitely needed to be amended at some point.

“It doesn’t matter if you’ve read it or not, you must act according to the agreement, and there’s no way you can go to my house,” she declared.

Su Ziyan certainly wouldn’t let Qin Yu come to her place and risk inviting trouble into her home.

Qin Yu was frustrated.

How could he protect her if he didn’t stay at Su Ziyan’s place?

As Qin Yu was grappling with this dilemma, his expression suddenly turned even worse!

He felt an oppressive presence inside the Toyota SUV!

It appeared that going to his wife’s place wasn’t an option either; he had to go to the old devil immediately!

Qin Yu said sternly, “Wife, you don’t need to take me home first.

I’ve got something to deal with.

Take me to West City now.”

West City?

Su Ziyan furrowed her brow; West City was the old quarter.

The area was a mingled mess of good and bad, and the road conditions were far from ideal.

Any slight mishap there, and she, a defenseless woman, would find no help from heaven or earth.

“Wife, although we haven’t known each other for long, based on your understanding of me, do you think I’m the type of person to take advantage of others in their time of need?” Qin Yu asked, gazing sincerely at Su Ziyan.

“Aren’t you??” Su Ziyan looked at Qin Yu warily.

Umm…

it seems…

alright…

Qin Yu sighed, “Since my wife doesn’t trust me, then just drop me off, and you go home yourself.”

In desperation, Qin Yu made the worst choice possible.

He wanted to go to West City because the old devil he had saved lived there.

Qin knew that the old devil was an incredibly skilled master!

He believed that the old devil could definitely handle the expert in the Toyota SUV.

Su Ziyan looked steadily at Qin Yu, who had tightly furrowed brows, causing her heart to clench.

She had a vague feeling that something was about to happen.

“Qin Yu, what is really going on?” she asked.

“Nothing.

Just make a quick decision, wife.

Either drop me off or drive straight to West City,” he urged.

Su Ziyan didn’t answer, and the Toyota SUV was now less than twenty meters away from them.

Without waiting for Su Ziyan to decide, Qin Yu resolutely opened the car door and jumped out, immediately running into an alleyway.

The window of the Toyota SUV suddenly rolled down, and a volley of bullets fired out.

Pop pop pop…

Qin Yu, swift as an eel, zigzagged in an S-pattern, vanishing into an alley in the blink of an eye.

It must be said that Qin Yu’s agility was impressive; bullets merely left small holes in the road behind him.

The Toyota SUV immediately turned and gave up the chase on Kaman, following in the direction Qin Yu had fled!
