Su Ziyan slammed the dining table forcefully, turning her little hand bright red, but even that failed to suppress her anger.

“Qin Yu, you scoundrel!

Who did you say has filthy thoughts?”

Su Ziyan’s chest heaved with rage.

She was wearing a low-cut evening gown, which was simply breathtaking.

Qin Yu was almost bleeding from his nose.

Qin Yu stared straight at Su Ziyan, giggling foolishly, “I’m filthy, I’m filthy, my thoughts are the filthiest.

Honey, don’t be mad, let’s just move on to the next thing.”

After taking several deep breaths to barely calm her fury, Su Ziyan said irritably, “I’ve prepared an identity for you.

Remember, you’re an MBA from Harvard University.”

“Okay, got it.”

Qin Yu didn’t resist this identity since he did have a degree from Harvard University.

Moreover, this degree was much higher than a Master of Business Administration degree.

Saying he was an MBA was almost an understatement.

“Can you speak English?”

“A bit,” Qin Yu replied reservedly with a nod.

“Then translate ‘study hard and make progress every day’ for me,” Su Ziyan said with a skeptical expression.

Qin Yu chuckled and blurted out, “Isn’t that too easy?

Good good study, day day up.”

Su Ziyan felt dizzy and was almost struck dead by Qin Yu’s words!

Dear God, what kind of English was that?

That was clearly Huaxia-style English!

Su Ziyan weakly massaged her temples.

“This is the self-introduction I’ve prepared for you.

Memorize it, and don’t make any mistakes.”

Upon saying that, Su Ziyan tapped away on her phone, typing out a paragraph in English.

As Qin Yu took her phone, he glanced briefly at the text and immediately spotted two grammatical errors.

Of course, Qin Yu wasn’t going to expose Su Ziyan.

Qin Yu put on a distressed expression and said, “Honey, I feel this isn’t right.

What if someone speaks to me in English during my introduction?”

“That’s simple.

I’ll step up and let you speak Huaxia, and for most questions, I’ll help you answer.

After the introduction, just try to keep silent.”

Qin Yu’s face darkened, it was all a damn setup!

Qin Yu could only touch his nose and say, “Okay then.”

Once everything was fully prepared, Su Ziyan breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that from this evening onward, Gu Chen would stop bothering her, and father would stop pressuring her.

For a moment, both of them fell into silence.

Time flew by, and it became completely dark outside.

Su Ziyan’s phone rang, and upon seeing the name on the screen, she gave a self-mocking laugh.

Su Ziyan really doubted whether Su Xinghe was truly her biological father.

To be pushing her into the fire pit so eagerly!

“What is it?” Su Ziyan’s voice lacked any emotional fluctuation.

“Su Ziyan!

Do you really want the Su Group to go bankrupt?

Why haven’t you gone to the Weijing Grand Hotel yet?” Upon hearing Su Ziyan’s voice, Su Xinghe started berating her.

“I’m choosing clothes, I’ll be there in a bit.”

“You better not be late and upset Gu Chen!”

Beep beep…

Listening to the busy tone on the phone, Su Ziyan’s smile was bitter.

“Qin Yu, let’s go.”

“Yeah, let’s go.”

Seeing Su Ziyan forcing a smile, Qin Yu felt his heart ache!

Qin Yu narrowed his eyes, no matter who made his wife unhappy, he wouldn’t let them off!

…

Logically speaking, Gu Chen was the first heir to the Gu Family, one of Luo City’s ten outstanding youths, and his birthday party should have been quite grand.

However, in reality, it was quite the opposite; Gu Chen didn’t like lively gatherings and had only invited a few childhood friends to a luxury private room at the Wei Jing Hotel.

Gu Chen sat quietly in the main seat of the private room, as his childhood friends and their companions arrived one after another.

As soon as Gu Chen’s friends entered the room, they warmly greeted him and he politely responded.

Although his friends’ companions were either fashion models or second-rate celebrities, Gu Chen hardly gave them a second glance, as if they were all unattractive.

As the time neared nine o’clock in the evening, Gu Chen’s expression became cold and dark.

All his friends had arrived, but there was still no sign of Su Ziyan!

Gu Chen hated people who were late, even if it was his woman!

With one minute to nine o’clock, Gu Chen’s face looked as if it was frozen, and his friends kept their mouths shut tightly, afraid of inflaming his wrath.

Only Qu Xiaoting, who was sitting to the left of Gu Chen, was unaffected.

Qu Xiaoting, the legitimate daughter of the Qu Family, one of Luo City’s four major families, and who had grown up with Gu Chen, said irritably, “Ah Chen, this Su Ziyan is so inappropriate, how can she be late for something as important as your birthday?

You might as well dump a woman like that.”

A radiant smile suddenly appeared on Gu Chen’s face as he teased, “What?

If I dump Su Ziyan, Xiaoting, will you take her place?”

Qu Xiaoting felt a flicker of joy; she had liked Gu Chen since childhood.

But her joy quickly faded; she knew Gu Chen well.

Even though Gu Chen was smiling, there wasn’t a trace of mirth in his eyes.

This indicated that Gu Chen was barely holding back his anger.

“Ah Chen, shall we start eating?

A woman like that isn’t worth getting angry over.”

“There’s half a minute left.” Gu Chen raised his wrist to look at his watch.

No sooner had he spoken than footsteps suddenly sounded at the door of the private room, and Su Ziyan appeared before everyone.

It had to be said, after meticulous dressing, Su Ziyan looked exquisitely stunning, overshadowing all the fashion models and second-rate celebrities.

The icy expression on Gu Chen’s face quickly melted, and he stood up smiling, waving from afar at Su Ziyan.

“Ziyan, over here.”

However, Gu Chen’s hand awkwardly stopped in mid-air, and his smile froze!

He saw a man emerge behind Su Ziyan, dressed in an antiquated tailcoat and a pair of antiquated leather shoes.

Of course, whether this man wore antiquities was none of Gu Chen’s concern.

What concerned Gu Chen was that Su Ziyan was warmly holding the man’s arm!

That man was naturally Qin Yu, who, suddenly having his arm clutched by Su Ziyan, felt quite pleased, oblivious to the several murderous glares around him as he greeted everyone with a grin.

“Hello everyone, I’m Qin Yu, Yanyan’s husband.”

Husband?

Haha…

Originally, Gu Chen was very annoyed that Su Ziyan was holding another man’s arm!

But upon hearing Qin Yu’s self-introduction, Gu Chen didn’t get angry at all; the acting skills of Mr.

Qin were too exaggerated; he couldn’t deceive Gu Chen at all.
