Chapter 215: Revised: Volume 4 Chapter 10 Seize the Opportunity to Enter

Watching the frenzied and aggressive Fatty after he was triggered, the four skinny prisoners felt like they were living in hell. Listening to Fatty’s words, it seemed he really had a habit of sleepwalking and killing people! What cure, what nonsense? Could such a cured person beat Rek to such a state? Everyone looked at the electronic clock on the wall, feeling that time was passing particularly slowly. Every extra second they spent in this cell heightened their fear. The timid Doctor was nearly in tears, not understanding what sin he had committed to end up living with someone as dangerous as a ticking time bomb of a sleepwalker!

Fatty was still muttering nervously to himself, ”No, I don’t have it, my illness has long been cured.” He suddenly looked up, his eyes wild, and shouted at the four trembling prisoners, ”You are lying to me! You are all lying to me!”

Seeing Fatty’s bloodshot eyes, twitching face, and neurotically waving hands, everyone felt that if anyone dared to provoke him even slightly more, they would immediately be killed by him. Just as the Doctor was about to burst into tears, the signal for the start of the prison workday finally rang out. With a soft click, the iron door of the cell unlocked and automatically slid open.

The Doctor and Tou’er, among others, rushed out as if pardoned, fleeing in panic. Stepping over the threshold felt like escaping from hell itself. They had never loved the shrill electronic bell of the prison as much as they did today; usually the most hated sound now seemed as sweet as heavenly music. Thirty seconds later, the iron door automatically closed again, leaving behind a self-satisfied Fatty and the still unconscious Rek.

For Fatty, since he was now in the supposedly most impregnable Abnosk Prison, escape seemed impossible. But being slaughtered wasn’t on his agenda. Getting out alive or leading a group out alive were his best options. He wasn’t about to waste his life in this place. Ever since becoming a soldier, his best skill had been escaping. This time, the game was a bit tougher—not only did he have to escape the heavily guarded prison, but he also had to carve a bloody path out with the Freedom Front’s team. When that time came, who knew what the situation would be like? But none of these challenges could dampen Fatty’s love of life; he had survived life-threatening escapes more than once. Russell’s analysis was spot-on, the fear of death is a powerful force.

Although Fatty couldn’t escape his own innate fear of death, at this moment he wasn’t as nervous and flustered as he used to be during his escapes through the Galileo Star System and on Miloke Planet. Not to mention that the Freedom Front was waiting for him outside, his own strength had vastly improved as well! The knowledge he had desperately absorbed in the laboratory would be his greatest asset in this mission!

Fatty understood that to survive in prison and organize a large-scale escape, there was a lot of work to be done and many people needed. A single mistake could lead to failure. Now, what he needed was an identity to establish himself in prison and a few helpful associates! The Freedom Front had infiltrated the prison; those political prisoners and nobles held high status here. If he could control those vicious prisoners, the escape would be halfway successful! But the hardest part was dealing with those unprincipled, cruel, and evil prisoners—none of whom were trustworthy. One careless move, and someone would betray him for credit.

Fatty hadn’t expected to encounter such a situation as soon as he arrived at Abnosk Prison. However, going with the flow had always been his principle. Rek would be the first person he needed to control here, and also his first test subject!

A whole basin of cold water was poured over Rek’s head. At the moment when Rek moaned, struggled, and opened his water-filled eyes, Fatty quickly dropped the water basin and immediately put on a nervous, frightened, and pitiful expression. He hugged Rek while crying, ”Big brother... big brother, I was wrong, I didn’t mean to fall asleep... I didn’t do it on purpose... I’ve had this sleepwalking problem since I was little...” He cried bitterly as if he were the one who had been beaten. His voice was indescribably tragic, ”Please, have mercy on me... sob... big brother... have mercy on me...”

Rek’s injuries were all superficial; Fatty’s professional technique wouldn’t make the mistake of killing someone just after entering prison. But such injuries were like a nightmare for Rek, the pain could break even the most resilient person. At this moment, being hugged tightly by Fatty and feeling all his injuries, the pain was enough to kill him!

Rek looked at the crying Fatty who was tightly hugging him, feeling a mix of fear, fury, confusion, and chaos. His expression was indescribably vivid, like a person wrapped in a venomous snake. In his heart, he swore he would bow to anyone who could free him from Fatty’s embrace right now!

The nearly thousand prisoners in block D of the prison, where cell D2 was located, had all gone to work in the work area. The entire rectangular six-story prison was empty except for a few sick prisoners who hadn’t gone to work and were curiously looking in the direction of cell D2, listening to the faint sounds coming from there. Fatty’s sobs echoed through the empty prison, adding an unspeakable sense of silence and eeriness. And this environment was the most terrifying for Rek.
