Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

When Ivy Sherwood woke up the next morning, she felt like she was floating on a cloud—dizzy and weightless.

Her body was so sore she could barely move, more exhausted than if she’d run a marathon.

She was conscious, but she had no desire to move an inch.

A faint scent of fir lingered in the sheets. The man must have just gotten out of bed; his side was still warm.

Ivy Sherwood had no desire to move, but she knew she had to get up.

An outfit had been laid out for her. Ivy Sherwood picked it up and, pushing through her body’s discomfort, went into the bathroom.

Everything in the bathroom was back to normal, as if nothing had happened last night. But Ivy Sherwood couldn’t bring herself to look at it directly. The memory of last night’s debauchery made her legs tremble.

Every corner held traces of their intimacy. Quentin Blackwood was like a primal, ferocious beast, dragging her into his territory to mark every inch of it as his.

After every night with Quentin Blackwood, Ivy Sherwood was just grateful to be alive. Because while it was happening, she truly felt like she was going to die.

If anyone ever claimed that man couldn’t perform, Ivy Sherwood would be the first to disagree.

After changing, Ivy Sherwood quickly washed her face and brushed her teeth.

She’d felt a slight pain in her ear earlier, and now, looking in the mirror, she saw that her earlobes were bright red.

The tassel earrings were still in her ears, looking as if they were custom-made for her. She remembered that after she’d put them on last night, Quentin Blackwood had taken a special liking to kissing her neck and ears, nibbling at them over and over.

Ivy Sherwood gently touched her earlobe. After a moment’s thought, she decided not to take the earrings off.

’Stop thinking about it, just stop.’ Ivy Sherwood quickly splashed a few handfuls of water on her face, cooling the heat in her cheeks before walking out of the bathroom.

Quentin Blackwood hadn’t been there when she first woke up, but now, as she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw him sitting on the bed.

Quentin Blackwood was already dressed in a suit, his legs crossed.

He was casually flipping through a magazine he’d picked up from the nightstand. When he saw Ivy Sherwood, he set it aside.

”Miss Sherwood’s services last night were quite satisfactory,” Quentin Blackwood said, looking to be in an excellent mood. ”Definitely worth the ten-million-plus.”

Ivy Sherwood thought about it and realized she’d gotten the short end of the stick.

She hadn’t returned the earrings, and on top of that, she’d spent another night with Quentin Blackwood.

Ivy Sherwood walked over. When she spoke, she realized her voice was extremely hoarse. ”I never knew I was so valuable. If I ever go bankrupt, could I use this method to make a comeback?”

Quentin Blackwood’s eyes narrowed. ”You can try. We’ll see if you can find another rich fool like that.”

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

’Spending over ten million on one night with her... that really is a case of more money than sense.’

’So who’s the fool here?’

’When Quentin Blackwood gets vicious, he doesn’t even spare himself.’

Seeing that Ivy Sherwood hadn’t taken the earrings off, a pleased smile touched Quentin Blackwood’s lips. ”I hope you wear them every time you come to see me in the future.”

Ivy Sherwood knew there was no returning the earrings now.

’Oh well. She did really like them, anyway. I’ll just keep them for now.’

He definitely wouldn’t accept money for them, so Ivy Sherwood decided she would find an opportunity to return the favor with a gift of her own.

”My throat... what’s wrong with it?” Ivy Sherwood touched her neck. Her voice sounded like she had a cold.

Quentin Blackwood leaned close to her ear. ”It wouldn’t be, if you had been a little quieter last night.”

Ivy Sherwood’s face instantly turned crimson. ’I couldn’t have been that loud last night, could I?’

Ivy Sherwood had breakfast at Quentin Blackwood’s before she left. She still wasn’t feeling well, so instead of going to her studio, she decided to rest at home for the day.

Nina Scott called to ask if she had returned the gift. Lying in bed, Ivy Sherwood replied, ”No.”

She had, however, taken the earrings off. ’I’ll wear them again when the opportunity arises,’ she thought.

”What’s wrong with your voice? Did you catch a cold?” Nina Scott asked, noticing something was off.

Ivy Sherwood could only answer vaguely, ”Maybe.”

She couldn’t very well tell Nina Scott that her voice was hoarse from screaming too much last night.

Nina Scott hung up quickly. Ivy Sherwood was planning to get some more sleep, but a short while later, she heard a knock at the door.

Ivy Sherwood was just about to get up and answer it when the door opened. Nina Scott came in, carrying breakfast.

Seeing Ivy Sherwood at the bedroom door, Nina Scott asked, ”Have you taken your temperature? Do you have a fever?”

Ivy Sherwood hadn’t expected Nina Scott to actually show up. In that instant, a warm feeling flooded her chest.

Nina Scott had rushed over the moment she heard her voice sounded off, thinking she was sick. A best friend like this was a rare treasure.

”Nina, hug me!”

After setting down the food, Nina Scott went to Ivy’s side and wrapped her in a hug. ”There, there. I brought you breakfast. Have you eaten?”

”I’ve already eaten,” Ivy Sherwood said, a bit sheepishly. She’d had breakfast at Norhaven.

Nina Scott placed a hand on Ivy Sherwood’s forehead. ”You don’t have a fever, though.”

”You’re so lethargic. Didn’t you sleep well last night?” Nina Scott looked at Ivy’s face and immediately noticed her ears.

”And why are your ears so red? Your earlobes look like they’re about to bleed. Did a mosquito get you?”

Ivy Sherwood subconsciously touched her earlobes. Feeling a little guilty, she said, ”Are they?”

Nina Scott nodded. ”Yeah. Go look in the mirror.”

Ivy Sherwood had already seen them in the mirror. ”It must be a bite.”

’Just not from a mosquito,’ she thought. ’More like a large beast.’

The thought inevitably led back to last night, and Ivy Sherwood’s cheeks grew scorching hot.

”Why is your face suddenly so red? And you look so guilty. Did something happen that you’re not telling me?” Nina Scott was only teasing.

”N-no, of course not.”

This only made Nina Scott more suspicious. ”Something definitely happened. Do you think I don’t know you? Spill it. Now.”

Ivy Sherwood retreated to her room, flopped back onto the bed, and pulled the covers over her head. ”Spill what? There’s nothing to say.”

Nina Scott followed her, plopping down on the bed next to her. ”You’re acting weird. This ’cold’ of yours feels off. Fess up. Where did you sleep last night?”

”Was it at Quentin Blackwood’s place?”

Ivy Sherwood: ”...”

’Could Nina Scott be any less perceptive, just for once?’

Seeing Ivy Sherwood burrow deeper into the covers without a word, Nina Scott gasped. ”Wow, I actually guessed right? Nothing happened between you and Quentin Blackwood, did it? You two didn’t... sleep together, did you?”

The more she spoke, the more excited Nina Scott became. With a look of sudden realization, she tried to dig Ivy out from under the covers.

”Ivy! So this ’cold’ of yours... it’s not because last night was too intense and you couldn’t handle it, is it?!”

Ivy’s head popped out, her face even redder from being smothered under the blanket.

Her eyes were clear and bright as she said, ”I don’t have a cold.”

Nina Scott didn’t care about that now. She looked as if she’d just uncovered the scoop of the century, and she was even more excited about it than Ivy was.

”So you really slept with Quentin Blackwood? When did this happen? Was it your first time? Who initiated it, you or him? How is he, you know... in bed? Is he like they write in novels? Huge and powerful?”

”What about his technique? Was it good? Did he last long? Did you get off? Was he a virgin or experienced? Don’t tell me he’s some kind of player who preys on innocent girls like you.”

”Ivy, say something! Tell me honestly, are you doing this to get revenge on Silas Blackwood? Is that why you deliberately climbed into his uncle’s bed?”
