The Strongest Urban Son-in-law

Chapter 13: Chapter 11: Registration

”Mr. Ye Feng, I was wrong, I know I was wrong, please let us go, please let the Zhang Family go!” Zhang Wei pleaded with Ye Feng continuously.

At this moment, Zhang Lin finally realized that she had provoked someone she definitely should not have.

Ye Feng was by no means as simple as the small bodyguard he appeared to be.

”I was wrong, Mr. Ye, please let the Zhang Family go, I promise that in the future whenever I see you and Miss Lin Shiyu, I will steer clear by a wide margin, never appearing before you. I beg you, please let us go...” Zhang Lin knelt on the ground, ceaselessly begging Ye Feng.

”It’s too late!” Ye Feng shook his head, his face cold and indifferent, showing no emotion.

Just then, a car horn sounded.

At the entrance of Wanhua Manor, a line of governmental cars appeared, followed by a group of men in uniform walking into the manor.

The lead man, serious-faced and holding an arrest warrant, approached Zhang Wei.

”Mr. Zhang Wei, Miss Zhang Lin, we are from the Commercial Investigation Department of Dragon Country, you are suspected of illegally smuggling antiques and trafficking fake jade, please come with us!”

”It’s over...” Zhang Wei’s face turned ashen.

With the Commercial Investigation Department here, there was absolutely no way he could escape this time.

”Take them away!” Subsequently, several officers from the Commercial Investigation Department took Zhang Wei and his daughter and left Wanhua Manor.

Watching the Zhang father and daughter being led away, everyone remained frozen in place.

The shock in their hearts could not be calmed down for a long time.

Nobody had expected that the Zhang Family would truly disappear from Lin Tian City in just ten minutes.

At that moment, Wan Tianhua revealed a scornful smile, looking at Ye Feng: ”Mr. Ye, I hadn’t realized you were so profoundly secretive. It turns out you had already obtained evidence of the Zhang Family’s crimes. No wonder you were so confident in erasing the Zhang Family from Lin Tian City!”

”So that’s how it was!” Everyone suddenly understood and were relieved.

It was because Ye Feng had obtained evidence of the Zhang Family’s crimes that he was able to erase them so quickly.

If the Wan Family had gotten hold of the evidence, they too could have eradicated the Zhang Family within ten minutes.

”My capabilities are not something you can understand,” Ye Feng said coolly, shaking his head.

Hearing Ye Feng’s words, nobody took them seriously, and the apprehension they had towards Ye Feng diminished considerably.

Because among those present, at least three people, having secured evidence of the Zhang Family’s crimes, could also have obliterated them.

But what they didn’t know was that Ye Feng actually had no evidence at all. Ye Feng had instructed Liu Mu to find all the Zhang Family’s criminal evidence in ten minutes, and had the Zhang Family erased from Lin Tian City—that was the truth.

Yet even if he spelled it out, they would never believe it.

And today’s gathering did not end on a happy note, with Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu both returning to the Lin Family.

The next day arrived in no time.

The news of the Zhang Family’s demise spread throughout Lin Tian City, leaving everyone astonished.

A family with assets worth billions had vanished overnight...

Some said the Zhang Family had offended high echelons of Dragon Country, others said they had angered a top scion from the capital, Dragon City, but only those who were at Wanhua Manor yesterday knew the truth.

Early in the morning, Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu left the Lin Family together.

Watching the direction Lin Shiyu was heading, Ye Feng showed a puzzled look: ”This doesn’t seem like the way to the company, does it?”

Lin Shiyu replied: ”Today is Saturday, I don’t have to go to the office. You should come with me to the Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall. I’ve enrolled in a Taekwondo class there. I enrolled you last night as well. Since you’re our company’s employee and temporarily my personal bodyguard, you might as well get a certification from the Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall to avoid being laughed at.”

”Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall?” Ye Feng nodded thoughtfully and did not refuse.

The founder of Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall from Dragon Country’s Southern Border was a retired veteran who had taken care of Ye Feng during his time in the Southern Border. Ye Feng had heard that the Martial Arts Hall was facing some trouble lately, and it was a good opportunity for him to see if he could be of any help.

Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall was as vast as a giant gymnasium, covering three thousand square meters, and featured an indoor swimming pool, gym, and cafeteria.

Almost every martial art in the world was taught by professional coaches at the Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall.

Reaching the parking lot, Lin Shiyu’s red Ferrari, as usual, became a very eye-catching presence.

The people around them all focused their attention on Lin Shiyu and Ye Feng.

Shoulder to shoulder, Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu walked towards the inside of the Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall.

”Look, Lin Shiyu is here!”

Everyone who saw Lin Shiyu displayed a look of admiration.

They were also surprised to see Ye Feng walking beside Lin Shiyu.

Lin Shiyu had been studying at Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall for over a year, but this was the first time she walked together with a male.

”Who is this guy?”

”Could he be Lin Shiyu’s boyfriend? He’s quite handsome; could he be the young master of some wealthy family?”

People were discussing among themselves. Today, Ye Feng wore a set of ordinary casual clothes, yet his extraordinary military aura was not to be underestimated.

Under the gaze of many, Ye Feng and Lin Shiyu walked into Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall together.

Lin Shiyu looked at Ye Feng and said, ”Ye Feng, you studied Dragon Country’s martial arts in Southern Border, so I signed you up for the National Martial Arts Class. I’m studying Taekwondo, and after class this afternoon, I’ll wait for you in the parking lot.”

”Mm~” Ye Feng briefly nodded and then parted ways with Lin Shiyu.

Within just a short span of ten minutes, the news of Lin Shiyu arriving at Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall with a man had spread.

Soon, Ye Feng reached the National Martial Arts Class.

The practice room of the National Martial Arts Class was an indoor space of about two hundred square meters, hosting over twenty students—it was quite spacious.

”Ye Feng!” Just as he entered the classroom, a familiar voice reached Ye Feng’s ears.

He saw a muscular man in training clothes approaching him.

After seeing him, Ye Feng smiled, ”Zhao Ziming, what are you doing here too?”

Zhao Ziming laughed heartily, ”Isn’t it normal? I’ve been studying at Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall for three years now, and I’m about to participate in the advanced assessment soon. With the advanced certification from Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall, I’ll get a raise!”

Ye Feng nodded.

”The coach is here!”

Just then, at the entrance of Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall, a man in his thirties with short hair and dressed in black training clothes walked in.

The man spoke loudly, ”Everyone quiet down, prepare for class!”

The surroundings fell silent, and conversations ceased.

The man, with a cold face, asked, ”Who is Ye Feng?”

”I am~~” Ye Feng spoke mildly.

The man sized up Ye Feng, displaying disdain in his gaze. ”Let me introduce to everyone, this is our new student, Ye Feng, who joined our National Martial Arts Intermediate Class today. I hope you all get along well! Ye Feng, I am Sun De, your coach for the National Martial Arts Class. Since you’ve come directly to our intermediate class, you better train diligently.

I heard you are Lin Shiyu, Mr. Lin’s personal bodyguard. Normally, you’d have to pass our primary certification before joining our intermediate class. But due to Mr. Lin’s influence, you were directly placed in our intermediate class. Let me make it clear upfront, since you’ve skipped levels to be here, you better study diligently and not hold us back.

Otherwise, even if you were introduced by Mr. Lin, I can kick you out of our National Martial Arts Intermediate Class at any moment!”

Sun De’s tone was filled with threats and his look conveyed scorn towards Ye Feng.

Faced with someone like Sun De, Ye Feng didn’t bother to respond much and ignored him.

Sun De didn’t mind, thinking that Ye Feng was intimidated by his authority and thus didn’t dare to speak.

”There’s one more thing!” saying so, Sun De took out a file folder.

”Next week, Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall will conduct a special certification assessment. Here’s the registration form. Does anyone want to sign up?” asked Sun De.

Upon hearing about the special certification assessment, the people in the practice room were listless and uninterested; no one responded to Sun De.

”If nobody’s signing up, then I’ll just report it!” Sun De said as he put away the registration form.

No one signing up was a scenario Sun De had already anticipated.

”Special assessment, there are rarely more than three people who pass each year. We in the intermediate class, what’s the point joining in?”

”Exactly, I heard there’s even a special fee for skipping levels. If we sign up, isn’t it just like giving away money?”

”I want to sign up!”

Just then, a voice echoed throughout the practice room.

Everyone was stunned and turned towards the direction from which the voice came; it was Ye Feng who had spoken!

Sun De looked at Ye Feng as if he was looking at an idiot and scoffed with a laugh, ”Ye Feng, have you lost your mind? Do you know what the special certification assessment entails? Everyone who passes the special certification can fight ten adversaries single-handedly. You, who haven’t even earned intermediate certification—what are you here for?

Just diligently follow my lessons, pass the intermediate certification first, do not seek attention to become the laughingstock and embarrass Mr. Lin!”

”Yeah, what is a newcomer pretending for—taking a special certification? Each year, Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall sees forty to fifty people attempting it, and the fewest to pass might be none; what makes him think he can pass as a newcomer, has he gone mad?”

The people around revealed a look of mockery, filled with disdain.

Even Zhao Ziming sincerely advised, ”Ye Feng, don’t be rash, don’t get upset just because Coach Sun De said a few words to you!”
