Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 192: Chapter 184: You There? Lend Me a Billion

After leaving Wang Zhefei’s company building and getting back in the car, Lin Chu opened his banking app and glanced at his account balance.

Good news: 1.5 billion.

’I can’t believe I’m at the point where I’m counting my money in billions.’

’That’s a truly huge sum of money.’

’Even if I partied every night, living a life of utter debauchery, I couldn’t spend it all in this lifetime.’

’And for me, partying every night and living a life of utter debauchery is just another way to make money.’

Bad news: I’m now facing a challenge.

’If I don’t handle this well, it’s going to be a bit of a problem.’

Opening WeChat, Lin Chu looked at his message list again.

Tomorrow was the Qixi Festival. Last night and this morning, he’d received messages on his phone from Liao Meili and Yang Huixian, respectively.

Liao Meili’s message said she’d taken the day off for the Qixi Festival, and she wanted to go to Disney in Shanghai. The tickets were already bought.

Yang Huixian asked: ”How are we going to spend the Qixi Festival? I don’t care what social obligations you have. This is my first Qixi ever, and you’re spending it with me.”

A scheduling conflict.

A total conflict.

’The first chaotic scene of my life.’

’And that’s not even counting the other women.’

’Of course, most of them only dropped hints, not daring to make such bold and righteous demands.’

’But these two were rich, beautiful heiresses, after all.’

Tsk.

’Conquering rich, beautiful women is a thrill, but at times like this, they’re also a genuine pain.’

With a slight frown, Lin Chu lit a cigarette and let out a long plume of smoke. He still felt a bit overwhelmed.

’What was that old saying? To be unhappy for a night, stuff yourself at dinner. To be unhappy for a day, get wasted. To be unhappy for a lifetime, marry two wives.’

’And they aren’t even my wives yet.’

’They’re already starting to make my life difficult.’

’Sigh. I miss those days of consequence-free hookups.’

But...

’Back to reality. The problems I have to face, I have to face.’

’My career is going smoother than ever, but that just means more women in my life. This kind of thing will inevitably become more common.’

’After all, besides Qixi, there’s the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, Christmas, Halloween, New Year’s Eve, and the Lunar New Year...’

’Thinking about it, is this any way to live?’

’No, I have to think of a way to solve this problem once and for all.’

’A real man is never afraid of any problem.’

...

After mulling this over for a while, a thought struck Lin Chu. He casually sent a message to Zhu Yixian: ”Did you ask? Any developments?”

Last night, he had said three days, but that didn’t stop Lin Chu from giving him a nudge.

’You have to be proactive.’

「A moment later.」

Zhu Yixian called him back.

He answered.

”I’m looking at the golf course information right now. Regarding those few places in Peng City we discussed last night, I did a detailed check today, and there actually is one: Xili Celebrities Golf Course. It used to belong to Famous Real Estate, but their financial backing is about to collapse. They’re desperate to offload it. The expected price is over 2 billion, but it definitely won’t exceed 2.2 billion.”

”By my estimate, that price is actually quite fair. The course sits on a total of 127 acres of land with absolutely gorgeous scenery. It has mountain views and even boasts a lake, which is something Mission Hills doesn’t have. The clientele is of a slightly lower tier, but not by much.”

”I checked their financial statements. Last year’s operating revenue was 76 million. But that was an outlier. If you exclude the last three years, their annual net profit was over 150 million every year before that. Snagging it at this price, you really can’t lose.”

Zhu Yixian spoke in great detail. For an industry insider, this information wasn’t difficult to uncover.

For an industry outsider who wanted to look it up, it was also quite simple.

Hearing this, Lin Chu felt his interest piqued. Buying a golf club in Peng City would be the ideal scenario.

As it was an asset of a real estate group, and given the current state of the property market, their desire to sell was almost certainly genuine.

’Over 2 billion... Damn, that’s expensive!’

’But, with all the buffs stacked on top of each other—a tier-one city, a license that’s no longer issued, a prime location, 127 acres of land... this kind of asset is like a luxury good; there’s bound to be a price premium.’

’It’s still worth it.’

’With the money I have on hand, I’m still short by a few hundred million.’

’But a few hundred million wasn’t a huge problem.’

’If I wanted to farm for it, I could generate it quickly enough.’

”Alright. I’m going to assemble a team to make an inquiry. You can join in if you want. Once we land this project, I’ll reward everyone based on their contribution. You’ll definitely get your share.”

Lin Chu said, his voice filled with a resolute certainty.

’I’ll land it!’

’I have to land it!’

’Once a core asset like this is under my name, from the day the ownership changes hands, I’ll be considered a real player in Peng City.’

’There are only thirteen golf courses in the entire city of Peng City.’

’And this particular one is fairly well-known.’

Zhu Yixian laughed immediately. ”Excellent, I’d love to. However, my position could cause some trouble, so I can only work behind the scenes. They’ve had a rivalry with us at Mission Hills for a while now, and we’ve clashed a few times. If they find out I’m involved, some of their top brass might get emotional and create unnecessary obstacles.”

He had a good grasp of the situation.

’The subtext was clear: ’You need to remember my contribution, but I can’t make a public appearance.’’

Of course, part of the reason was also that the deal wasn’t a sure thing yet; there were just some promising leads. He couldn’t stick his neck out at this stage. If people within his family found out, it would be a disaster.

”Fine. You can play support, then.”

Lin Chu understood his calculations and his predicament, so he readily agreed.

’You couldn’t force these things. After all, they had only just met and weren’t what you’d call good friends.’

’Even with good friends, at the end of the day, you have to handle your own business yourself.’

He hung up.

A curious smile played on Lin Chu’s lips. He suddenly felt as if everything had become clear. After a moment’s thought, he sent a message to Yang Huixian.
