Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 162: Chapter 161: Cold-faced Bodhisattva

In the car.

Fang Yichun held her phone, checking a list as she asked questions from an MBTI personality test to figure out Lin Chu’s type.

Lin Chu answered casually. He responded to every question, but some of his answers were truthful, while others were not.

Hiding parts of his true self had already become a man’s instinct.

Still, he found it amusing.

’I must be bored out of my mind, playing house with this little girl.’

But... his body betrayed his words.

When faced with the earnestness of an eighteen-year-old girl, it was really hard for a man to keep a straight face. Even just teasing her was quite fun.

This continued until she had asked all the questions.

”Wow, you’re an INTP! The most mysterious personality type!”

She exclaimed in surprised delight as she looked at the results on her phone, now completely relaxed.

INTP, a rare personality type!

She even felt the same excitement as drawing a rare card in a game.

Lin Chu: ...

”What’s so mysterious about it?”

’What the hell is this nonsense!’

The topic immediately got her excited. She took out her phone, scrolled through a guide, and began reading it aloud to Lin Chu.

”Do you know how they describe INTPs?”

”Two words: Cold-faced Bodhisattva! You’re a highly intuitive logician, like a supercomputer. You have a deep-seated hostility toward authority and an instinctive yearning for freedom. It’s like you’re a wild beast that has stumbled into human society. You’re curious about and baffled by social rules, but you try to process them to perfect your own logical system. But if you’re not careful, you could completely fall to the dark side. That’s because your logical system can come into major conflict with the world’s, and you have a fundamental need to be internally consistent.”

”But, Bodhisattva, deep down you’re extremely warm and desperately crave love. However, your love is so fiery and deep that you’re often seen as a bootlicker, and it’s more than the average person can handle. That’s why you get hurt. You want others to love you the same way you love them, but most people can’t do that.”

Lin Chu: ?

”What kind of nonsense is this? It’s not accurate. Not accurate at all.”

Though, it had hit a little too close to home.

”It’s just the Barnum effect.”

The Barnum effect is often cited in relation to astrology, where people feel that generalized analyses and guides describe them perfectly.

Surprisingly, Fang Yichun didn’t argue. She actually knew about it and said with a grin, ”Maybe a little, but not entirely! I can feel it, you really are an INTP. Because INTPs have another very distinct trait: they’re rebels! Even if you agree with some of it, you have to argue no matter what anyone says. You’re a total contrarian.”

She was speaking with animated delight, getting more and more excited, when she suddenly felt the atmosphere shift.

Lin Chu was looking at her with a calm expression.

Uh oh.

The young woman instantly realized her mistake. ’Oh no, oh no, I got carried away. I actually called him a contrarian!’

Her face immediately flushed crimson. She bit her lip, lowered her head, and stammered, ”I... I’m sorry.”

Lin Chu lit another cigarette.

”What’s your type?”

Hm?

She was dazed for a moment before realizing Lin Chu actually wanted to continue the conversation. She let out a small sigh of relief. ”I’m an ISFJ, the Defender. A very dedicated and warm protector, always ready to defend the people they love.”

Lin Chu pursed his lips.

”Well, you’re pretty badass then.”

The curse word sounded a little jarring to her. Her face darkened to a deep red, and for a moment, she didn’t know what to say.

...

By the time they arrived at Taiyi Villa, the setting sun was a fiery red, and the evening clouds were the color of blood.

It was located at the foot of Baiyun Mountain. The entrance overlooked almost the entire city, where skyscrapers and the sunset clouds merged into a stunning vista.

Zhao Rong and her group were already waiting: her, Hou Chengjin, two female streamers from the company with their boyfriends, two real estate agents, the chubby man who owned the agency, and three people from the sales office—one man and two women. The lineup was surprisingly large.

”You didn’t need to bring so many people. It’s like you’re planning to kidnap me if I don’t buy a house.”

Lin Chu glanced at the crowd and joked with a smile.

The entire group laughed along, saying things like, ”President Lin, you’re so humorous.”

Watching the scene, Fang Yichun couldn’t help but smile. ’So impressive. He really is Young Master Lin, acting all high and mighty.’

’Yes, this is an INTP, definitely. Mysterious, intelligent, powerful, and cold on the outside, but with a fiery core.’

After a few pleasantries, they headed into the residential community.

The sales manager from the sales office took the lead, eagerly pointing things out as they rode a shuttle cart along a lush, tree-lined path into the complex.

It felt like they had entered a suburban park; the air was incredibly fresh.

As they passed one villa, the sounds of laughter, cheerful chatter, and music spilled out, suggesting a party was underway. But they could only hear the sounds, not see anyone, due to the thick greenbelts obscuring the view.

”What’s going on over there?”

Lin Chu asked casually.

The sales manager explained with a smile, ”That’s Villa 05. The owner is holding a birthday dinner for his young daughter. I heard he even invited a few celebrity friends, and some neighbors have gone over to congratulate them. Becoming an owner here isn’t just about getting a house, it’s about embracing a warm and connected lifestyle.”

Lin Chu glanced at him and gave a casual nod.

After passing an artificial lake, they soon arrived at the property Lin Chu was interested in.

”This is your exclusive, 200-meter-long, tree-lined entrance path. It’s also covered by the community’s security system. If anything happens, our security team will arrive in the shortest possible time.”

”This path leads directly to the main gate and the garage. If you’d like to take a walk, there’s also a smaller trail inside that loops around.”

The sales manager detailed this path as one of the property’s highlights.

Inside was a four-story villa, a blend of Chinese and Western styles—elegant and stately. The front lawn was the size of a basketball court, and the backyard featured a swimming pool and a garden.

Seeing it in person, it was truly even more luxurious than in the pictures.

Lin Chu scanned the property and was quite satisfied. ’In a top-tier city where every inch of land is gold, a house like this is truly one of a kind,’ he thought.

”Alright, this is the one. Prepare the contract. I’ll make the payment.”

There was no need to hesitate. If he was going to buy it, he would just buy it.

Although the sales manager had a strong feeling this deal would go through, he still heaved a long sigh of relief when he heard the client agree. His heart finally settled.

Eighty-six million!

”Of course. The contract is already prepared for you. Will you be needing any financing? We can have someone from the bank come over to handle the paperwork. After you make the payment, we will handle all the remaining procedures for you, aside from one trip you’ll have to make to the housing authority in person.”

He was tactfully asking if a loan was needed.

”That won’t be necessary. I’ll pay in full.”

Lin Chu said nonchalantly.

After signing the contract and making the payment via his private banking transfer, Lin Chu lit a cigarette. Seeing the envy and shock in Hou Chengjin’s eyes, he laughed and said, ”You better hurry up and make some money! Get some projects going! I’m broke now! Hou, I don’t have money for food. Lend me some to get through the month.”

Hou Chengjin: ...

’Like hell I believe you!’

Of course, he knew Lin Chu was just joking and, at the same time, showing off.

”Sure. Anything under five hundred, just ask. I don’t have any more than that.”

He shrugged and smiled with a hint of resignation.

Lin Chu couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

...

When they got back into the car to leave, Lin Chu sat in the back. Fang Yichun was almost timid as she opened the door on the other side and sat down primly.

After the car started, she turned to look at Lin Chu, hesitated, and then held back what she wanted to say.

But a few minutes later, she glanced over at him again.

Lin Chu noticed her subtle movements, turned, and met her gaze. ”Spit it out.”

”I-I have nothing to say.”

She was so nervous she stuttered. It was the first time she had witnessed something like this firsthand—someone spending nearly a hundred million on a garden-castle of a villa without even blinking. The shock was simply unparalleled.

On the way here, she had felt like the distance between her and Lin Chu had shrunk.

Now, that psychological distance felt much greater.

’A rich person like him really isn’t from the same world as me.’

Her mind even conjured up a classic internet meme: ”Brother Fu, it’s Crazy Thursday. Send me 50, let me see your power.”

Ugh.

”If you have nothing to say, why are you staring at me? What, you want to lend me money? How about five hundred? I’ll pay you back next month.”

Lin Chu continued to tease her with a grin.

She couldn’t hold it in anymore and burst out laughing. She let out a couple of laughs but then tried to stifle it, struggling so hard her face turned red.

”Are you really borrowing money?”

”But that’s my allowance money. It took this little kid a long time to save that up.”

she mumbled, sounding a little stingy.

Lin Chu asked with a grin, ”How much have you saved up?”

She shrank back slightly, looking nervous, and pouted. ”S-Six thousand something.”

”Alright, I’ll borrow five thousand then.”

Her: ...

She finally couldn’t resist retorting weakly, ”Is this how you bought your villa?”

’Jerk!’

’Trying to scam a kid out of her allowance money!’

...

...
