Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 160: Chapter 159: Must Teach Her a Lesson

After Lin Chu left the office, Zhao Rong looked at Hou Chengjin and asked casually, ”Xiaocheng, what’s the story with this friend of yours?”

”Twenty-four years old with a net worth of a billion? Is he some kind of god who’s descended to the mortal realm?”

She mostly believed the part about his billion-dollar net worth.

And at twenty-four, there was no reason to lie about his age.

It was just... he was so young it was terrifying.

The only explanation was that he was the heir to a powerful family. Whether that power came from politics or wealth, however, she didn’t know.

’He’s on a level I don’t even dare to aspire to,’ Zhao Rong thought.

”I don’t know, either. I met him at the golf club. The first time we met, he tried to give me a Richard Mille—the one that costs over ten million. I didn’t have the nerve to accept it, so I gave it back.”

”And did you see that necklace he was wearing? Imperial Green. That has to be worth at least fifty million, don’t you think?”

”His company is at the Peng City Excellence Center. He has a whole floor. He just burns cash to drive traffic to his streamers—monthly expenses are over twenty million.”

”He’s the real deal. Aside from being a womanizer, he has no other flaws. Make sure you arrange things properly for tonight. The big boss likes them young, pure, sweet, and obedient. It’s even better if they’re highly educated.”

He offered her a little insight into Lin Chu’s tastes.

Hearing this only made Zhao Rong more certain.

’Of course,’ she thought. ’Any man from a family like that with a normal sense of taste would love that type of woman.’

”Alright, I get it,” she said. ”Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.”

A secret thrill sparked within her.

Just then, her phone rang. Seeing it was the real estate agent, she answered casually.

...

Lin Chu left her office and strolled casually through the open work area, taking a look around.

The work area was filled with pop-up banners advertising various courses: Emotional Management, Developing Your Charm, The Secret to a Healthy, Lasting Love, The Art of Social Climbing, Emotional Intelligence for the Modern Woman...

No matter how you looked at them, they all promised to help you become a better version of yourself.

And yet... there weren’t many people in the main work area. The conference rooms, however, were nearly full. Onstage, instructors spoke with fiery passion to an audience of eager, searching eyes belonging almost exclusively to women. ℯ

Business, it seemed, was quite good.

After all, the price was listed right on the banners: a course package for 19,800.

For some reason, a strange sense of powerlessness crept over Lin Chu.

’Back when I was dating Li Yaoyao, she probably took courses just like these, didn’t she?’

Before he’d finished looking around the floor, Zhao Rong hurried out and walked toward him with a smile. ”Brother Chu, the real estate agents are here.”

Lin Chu glanced at her, offering a casual smile and a nod.

”Let’s go, then. Time to talk business.”

He’d seen enough.

’Later,’ he thought, ’I’m going to have to teach her a thing or two!’

...

「A moment later.」

They met two real estate agents at the elevators and returned to Zhao Rong’s office.

Lin Chu sipped his tea, listening as the two agents presented their properties.

They had prepared more than a dozen listings, with all the information printed out for easy review.

Lin Chu looked through them one by one, his gaze finally stopping on a villa in a development called Taiyi Villa. It had 960 square meters of usable space and was listed for 87 million.

It wasn’t the most expensive property in the portfolio. There were two others, priced at 120 million and 130 million, but he felt this one was better.

Seeing Lin Chu linger on this listing, both agents seemed to hold their breath, not daring to disturb him.

Zhao Rong also remained silent, focusing on brewing the tea.

Hou Chengjin leaned over for a look and felt his mind go numb. ’He said under a hundred million, and it really is under a hundred million... Eighty-seven million.’ He did a quick mental calculation. If he sold his company, he could just about afford it.

”What’s this place like?”

Lin Chu himself was quite pleased. This ”eco-mansion” was even more luxurious than his Swan Castle in Peng City. It was a true manor-style villa, with a front lawn, a backyard pool, and plenty of space between it and the neighboring houses.

’To put it crudely,’ he thought, ’if I died in there alone, my body could rot for days before anyone found me.’

’Wait.’

’What am I thinking?’

’A place like this would naturally come with a full staff of butlers and maids.’

Hearing Lin Chu’s question, Zhao Rong glanced at the listing with a wry smile. ”I’m not really qualified to comment. I’ve never lived there—I’ve never even visited. But I hear it’s one of the top ten luxury residences in Asia. If I could afford to live in a house like that, why would I still be running a company? I’d have retired long ago.”

With her net worth, she could probably afford it, but it would take everything she had.

But... she would have to move heaven and earth just to get a foot in the door.

The agent beside them immediately chimed in with a smile, ”Taiyi Villa is without a doubt the most luxurious development in Yang City, a collection of truly epic private estates. The one you’re looking at has been completely renovated and has never been occupied. The house itself is nearly a thousand square meters, but the lot is almost one and a half acres.”

”There are only twenty-two villas in the entire forested complex. All the residents are either fabulously wealthy or highly influential. They haven’t all been sold yet—eighteen are gone, and this is one of the four that remain.”

’Newly renovated.’

’Wealthy and powerful neighbors.’

Those two points were quite appealing to Lin Chu.

A house like this was truly a dream home—the kind you could pass down for generations.

’You could marry four wives and have them all move in, and there would still be plenty of room. Not that I need to, of course.’

”Alright, this is the one.”

”So, what’s your commission?” Lin Chu made his decision on the spot and asked with a smile.

Before the agents could even reply, Zhao Rong cut in with a smile, ”No need for that. Their boss is a friend of mine. Besides, for villas like this, the developer pays a commission to any agent who brings in a buyer. Don’t you worry about it. Save money where you can, spend it where you must.”

’He has to owe me for this one,’ she thought.

Lin Chu shot her a look, shaking his head with an amused smile. ”Alright, that’s the one, then. Let’s go see it. If there are no issues, I’ll pay for it.”

Even though they’d sold plenty of houses, hearing a client finally agree—and apparently planning to pay in full—the two agents couldn’t suppress their looks of sheer delight.

This was beyond extravagant.

Truly, unbelievably extravagant.

”You two go on ahead,” Zhao Rong said to the agents with a smile. ”I know the way, so I’ll bring Brother Chu. We can meet at the main gate.” After a few more pleasantries, she sent them on their way.

Lin Chu glanced at her, a hint of confusion in his eyes. He had a faint suspicion that she had something else she wanted to arrange.

”Brother Chu, congratulations are in order! A new car, a new mansion... you’re officially putting down roots in Yang City. We have to have a few drinks tonight, don’t we? We have to celebrate?” she asked with a broad smile.

”Sure, why not.” It wasn’t the kind of request he would refuse.

She smoothly followed up, ”In that case, let’s bring someone along to pour your drinks. We can all head over there together and won’t have to come back to the office afterward.”

Hearing this, Lin Chu was momentarily taken aback, then broke into a laugh.

’She really knows how to phrase things,’ he thought. ’And her attention to detail is perfect.’ He gave a casual nod. ”Fine, you arrange it. I’ll leave it in your hands.”

’So she’s trying to hook me, too,’ he realized.

’Well, we can see who hooks whom.’

’Let’s see who’s better at this game.’
