Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 96: Chapter 95: This Is What You Call Professional

Driving toward the city, he passed by Mission Hills. On a sudden impulse, Lin Chu steered the car inside and gave Zhang Peng a call.

Zhang Peng, who was still in the office, felt his heart skip a beat when he saw the call from Lin Chu. He suddenly felt a little guilty.

’Did I mess this up?’

’Did that Yaoyao tell Lin Chu something?’

’Or was there someone else in the car, and Lin Chu was just putting on an act?’

All these thoughts flashed through Zhang Peng’s mind in an instant. He quickly answered the call. ”Brother Chu, go ahead.”

Lin Chu: ”Did any of the brothers come by today? What’s the situation?”

Hearing this, Zhang Peng breathed a small sigh of relief. ’Good, it’s not about what happened earlier.’ He quickly composed himself and reported, ”Two of them came: Lu Ming and Fang Weidong. The lawyer handled the contracts here, and they each invested a million. The lawyer also said they seemed interested, but they’d need a couple of days because their funds weren’t immediately available. Can’t say if that’s true or not.”

He felt just as uncertain about this whole thing, having no idea what Lin Chu was up to.

’A thirty percent annual return... To be honest, with the company’s current model, there’s no way we can deliver that.’

’Brother Chu must have some other business on the side.’

’But since we’ve already started, and people are literally bringing money to our door, we can’t just turn them away, right?’

’The words came out of his mouth. It’s Brother Chu’s reputation on the line.’

Lin Chu chuckled. ”Alright, I got it. That’s all for now. Hanging up.”

Zhang Peng: ?

’What does he mean?’

’I don’t get it. I just don’t get it.’

...

There was one of Peng City’s most exclusive golf clubs at Mission Hills. Lin Chu followed his GPS, drove in, and decided to take a look around.

He had, of course, never been to a place like this before—a playground for the rich. His old boss, however, had been quite fond of it, even keeping an indoor golf club set in his office.

’Supposedly it helps with networking?’

After parking his car, Lin Chu walked toward the club’s main entrance.

As the automatic doors slid open, a beautiful woman in a golf uniform immediately approached with small, quick steps to greet him. She wore a black T-shirt and a white golf skirt, giving off a distinct uniform vibe. It wasn’t much different from what he’d seen on TV.

”Hello, sir. Are you here to book a tee time?”

She smiled sweetly, sizing up the guest before her.

He was dressed in casual clothes and projected an air of leisurely confidence. Although he wasn’t wearing any luxury items, that inherent sense of relaxation was the hallmark of a wealthy person—and one who had time to spare.

Lin Chu glanced at her nonchalantly. ”I’m here to get a membership. What are the prices for your annual cards? Can they be purchased as gifts?”

Her smile grew even sweeter, revealing a small canine tooth. ”Yes, you can, sir. This way, please. I can give you a detailed introduction.”

She respectfully led Lin Chu to a reception room and asked with a smile, ”What would you like to drink? Tea? Coffee? Juice?”

”Don’t waste time. Just be quick and tell me what I need to know.”

”I still have to get back for dinner.”

Lin Chu’s gaze swept over the photos on the reception room wall. It was a celebrity, Guo Fucheng, playing golf here. He must have signed some kind of endorsement deal.

’An old, cheesy game ad slogan suddenly popped into his head: ”If you’re a real bro, come and slash me! I’m Zhazha Hui!”’

A smile couldn’t help but appear on his lips.

”Sir, our club has five tiers of membership cards. The highest tier is the Chartered Diamond Card. It grants the highest level of privileges at the club, making you our most distinguished client. The annual fee is 2.6 million.”

As she said this, her voice faltered slightly, and she studied Lin Chu’s expression.

Seeing no reaction from Lin Chu, she continued, ”The next tier is the Diamond Card, with an annual fee of 1.8 million.”

”Stop.”

”Five. Chartered Diamond Cards. I’ll take them now.”

Lin Chu couldn’t be bothered to listen any further. ’I’d initially wondered if these cards had different tiers, similar to the one-million investment, but then I decided it didn’t matter.’

’If I’m buying, I’m buying the highest tier.’

’The more I spend, the more I get back.’

’As for the brothers, I can come up with some other explanation for them.’

Hearing this, the membership consultant was stunned. Her breathing grew shallow for a moment before she quickly recovered. ”Of course, sir. Shall I process the paperwork for you now?”

”Our Chartered Diamond membership cards are unregistered. However, when your friends come to use them for the first time, their identities will be verified, and the cards will then be personally bound to them.”

Lin Chu nodded.

”Do it.”

She quickly called her manager over. She was also a beautiful woman, in her thirties, with a voluptuous figure.

Lin Chu couldn’t help but smile slightly. ’The concentration of beautiful women in a place like this is really high. But that’s normal. Where there are rich people, there are beautiful women.’

’Compared to wealth, beauty isn’t much of a scarce resource.’

2.6 million, five cards, for a total of 13 million.

This definitely counted as a luxury purchase, but Lin Chu wasn’t thinking about that. Instead, he thought... ’I have to say, maybe that trip to the orphanage really did bring me good luck.’

’If I hadn’t happened to pass by here, I never would have thought of this.’

’An annual golf club membership... this is definitely another great money-spending tool!’

’And it has way more class than just opening bottles of Romanee-Conti or Yamazaki 25.’

After paying and receiving the cards, Lin Chu prepared to get up and leave.

The membership consultant stopped him with a smile. ”Sir, if you could wait just a moment. There are two more things I need to trouble you with.”

”First, as a Chartered Diamond member, you are entitled to your own exclusive caddie. This is a privilege unique to Chartered Diamond members. You can choose a male or a female caddie. Would you like to make your selection now? When you want to play later, your caddie will be arranged for you immediately.”

”Second, our Chartered Diamond members have their own exclusive club that holds a cocktail party every month. We’ll need your contact information for that. Of course, if you have any private, customized requests for the parties, we will do our best to accommodate them.”

She knew Lin Chu valued his time and prioritized efficiency, so she skipped the pleasantries and got straight to the point.

When it came to serving the wealthy, the golf club was definitely professional.

After all, its clientele was either wealthy or powerful.

Lin Chu hadn’t heard about these perks, but then again, he’d never been to a place like this before. It was his first time.

”Alright then. Let’s take a look. I’ll definitely pick a woman,”

Lin Chu said casually.

’You get the service you pay for. A Chartered Diamond membership...’ Lin Chu suddenly felt there might be other hidden benefits as well.

’Wait, what the fuck?’

’It’s the same old routine.’

’If you want to be one of my ”brothers,” aside from the early ones, anyone who wants in later has to pay a million first.’

’If you want to join the golf club’s circle, you have to pay 2.6 million first.’

’There’s nothing new under the sun.’

At this moment, Lin Chu even felt a sense of leveling up, like a big fish eating a small fish, and a small fish eating shrimp.

”This way, please. We currently have sixteen female caddies on duty for you to choose from. However, once you’ve made your selection, you cannot change unless the caddie commits a violation.”

Hearing this, Lin Chu couldn’t help but chuckle.

’This is no different from a business KTV, is it?’

’It’s just packaged in a more high-class way.’

’But, I gotta say, I quite like it.’
