Urban Martial Saint

”Trying to run!?” The Earl roared in anger, using his coat to shield himself as he charged through the swarm of poisonous bees, heading straight for Ye Qing.

Compared to the Earl, Ye Qing’s speed was in a completely different league, utterly incomparable. Fortunately, the terrain worked in his favor as he was descending the mountain, which gave him a bit of an advantage. He frantically dashed and leaped downhill, recklessly jumping down from the height of two floors, all to evade the Earl behind him.

Although the Earl was very fast, on this mountain path, Ye Qing ran without concern for his life, making it not so easy for the Earl to catch up. Thus, they both ran all the way to the foot of the mountain, yet the Earl still hadn’t caught Ye Qing. Instead, a few people approached head-on, conveniently blocking Ye Qing in the middle.

The people approaching head-on were precisely the Bishop and his group from earlier. After exhuming Baron T Colin’s body, they found no map on it, and naturally suspected that Ye Qing had taken it. This worried the Bishop even more, so he quickly led his men in pursuit, intending to reclaim the map from Ye Qing’s hands. As it happened, they ran into the scene of the Earl chasing someone down the mountain, prompting the Bishop to rush over and block Ye Qing’s path.

”Count Tony, what’s going on?” the Bishop asked loudly.

”It’s this person who killed Baron T Colin!” Count Tony shouted loudly.

The Bishop’s eyes lit up, and he immediately rushed toward Ye Qing, reaching out to grab him.

Seeing the Bishop make a move, Ye Qing realized that this person’s strength was definitely not below that of the Earl. This made him somewhat disheartened; with two such powerful figures surrounding him, what hope did he have of escaping?

Seeing the Bishop also reaching out for Ye Qing, the Earl grew a bit anxious. If the Bishop killed Ye Qing, he would lose the opportunity to claim the credit. So, he sped up, rushing ahead of the Bishop and reaching for Ye Qing’s neck, intending to kill him directly.

The Bishop hadn’t intended to kill Ye Qing; he just wanted to capture him first and then force information on the map’s whereabouts. Because Ye Qing had been running for so long, the Bishop wasn’t sure if he had already given the map to someone else or had hidden it. Therefore, without retrieving the map, the Bishop wasn’t willing to kill Ye Qing.

Seeing the Earl about to deliver a killing blow, the Bishop grew anxious. If Ye Qing died and they couldn’t find the map on his body, the situation would become troublesome. So, without any hesitation, the Bishop suddenly pivoted his hands and struck toward the Earl’s abdomen fiercely.

The Earl didn’t expect the Bishop to attack him; shocked and taken aback, he couldn’t afford to focus on Ye Qing anymore and quickly leaped away, barely avoiding the Bishop’s strike.

”What are you doing?” the Earl roared in anger, ”You dare attack me? Do you really think I’m afraid of you?”

The Bishop said nothing, continuing to pounce toward Ye Qing. When he had repelled the Earl earlier, Ye Qing had seized the opportunity to run a few more steps forward, widening the distance between them.

Seeing this situation, the Earl grew furious, suddenly emitting a screech as his nails grotesquely elongated. His black cloak billowed without wind, making a hunting sound, and the Earl, resembling a Night Devil, frantically dashed toward the Bishop. To him, killing Ye Qing had become secondary; dealing with the Bishop was now of utmost importance!

The Bishop was about to catch up with Ye Qing, but the Earl charged at him, attacking recklessly, leaving the Bishop in a dilemma. He hastily dodged the Earl, urgently saying, ”Count Tony, don’t be impulsive; let me capture this brat first, and then I’ll explain it to you!”

”Enough nonsense!” the Earl shouted, ”This person is mine. He killed my subordinate, and I must kill him myself to report back to the Elder. If you dare stop me again, I’ll kill you too!”

The Bishop was also annoyed, urgently responding, ”Count Tony, I’m not trying to steal your credit. But there’s something very important on him that I must get hold of. As long as I get that item, all other credit is yours!”

The Bishop and the Earl were speaking in English, assuming Ye Qing couldn’t understand them. Thus they dared to say such things. Unbeknownst to them, Ye Qing clearly understood every word they said.

Hearing what the Bishop said, Ye Qing was somewhat surprised; what item on his body did the Bishop need to acquire? Could it be that map?

Thinking it over, it seemed quite possible. Baron T Colin had hidden the map so secretly; it must be something extremely important. These people pursued him all this way, certainly for the map. Otherwise, what else could he have that would warrant them going to such lengths?

Realizing this, Ye Qing didn’t hesitate at all; he immediately retrieved the map from his body and, taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, discreetly tucked it into the nearby bushes. In the dead of night, with the bushes being so dense, no one would expect that Ye Qing would hide the map there.

Secreting away the map was a task Ye Qing performed without stopping at all, doing so almost casually. Having just finished hiding it, he quickly ran past the range of the bushes, sprinting toward the distance, hoping to draw their attention away.

”What important item?” Count Tony hesitated slightly, saying in a low voice, ”Hmph, are you trying to trick me into stopping so you can kill him yourself?”

”Count Tony, I swear in the name of God, I don’t care about the credit; the crucial thing is the item on him!” the Bishop said solemnly, ”That item on him is of great importance. The key figures above are very clear about it, and I must bring it back. Otherwise, neither of us will have a good time when we go back!”

”Really?” Count Tony was slightly surprised, clearly still a little skeptical.

”Sigh, let’s not discuss anymore; let’s capture this person first,” the Bishop said. ”Count Tony, if you don’t believe me, then you capture him. But remember, don’t kill him!”

The Earl paused slightly and said in a deep voice, ”Alright, I’ll help you capture him back!”

”Don’t kill him!” the Bishop shouted, chasing after the Earl.

”He won’t die!” The Earl was incredibly fast. Ye Qing had already run far, but this was flat ground, far less complicated than mountain paths. In less than two minutes, the Earl caught up to Ye Qing from behind, grabbed Ye Qing’s shoulder, and pinned him to the ground.

Ye Qing struggled to fight back, but the Earl’s strength was immense, pinning him down, making it difficult even to struggle, let alone retaliate.

At this point, the Bishop also arrived. The Earl held Ye Qing down tightly, turned his head, and arrogantly looked at the Bishop, saying, ”Alright, now you can say, what do you want from him?”

The Bishop hesitated slightly. He originally wanted to capture Ye Qing and ask him about this matter privately, without letting the Earl know. However, now that the Earl had pinned Ye Qing down and allowed him to ask this question, it was clear that he also wanted to know about this matter. If he wanted to ask about it, he would have to let the Earl know.

”You guys, disperse!” the Bishop suddenly turned his head and instructed the few subordinates nearby.

These people naturally did not dare to inquire about these matters. Upon receiving the Bishop’s orders, they scattered immediately, not daring to linger here for a moment.

The Earl didn’t pay attention to this matter, merely watching the Bishop from afar, waiting for the Bishop’s question. In fact, he was quite curious, not knowing what exactly the Bishop wanted to find from Ye Qing.

The Bishop looked at the Earl, then at Ye Qing, and finally, reluctantly, asked in clumsy Huaxia language, ”Did you kill Baron T Colin?”

”No need to speak Huaxia, he understands English,” the Earl said.

”Ah?” The Bishop’s expression changed. He hadn’t expected Ye Qing to understand English. So all the things he had said earlier, hadn’t Ye Qing heard them?

”I don’t know who you’re talking about,” Ye Qing continued to deny. He knew that falling into this predicament meant it was unlikely to end well for him. Although he possessed great power within, his meridians were sealed, and he couldn’t use it. Could it be that this time he was really going to die here?

”Hmph!” The Bishop gritted his teeth, saying in a deep voice, ”I don’t want to waste words with you. Baron T Colin had a map on him. Did you take it?”

”I don’t know about any map, nor do I know what you’re talking about,” Ye Qing replied.

”Huaxia People, you have a tough mouth!” the Bishop said in a deep voice, ”Do you really think that if you don’t speak, there’s nothing I can do to you?”

”I don’t know what you’re talking about, how am I supposed to answer you?” Ye Qing said, ”You’ve got the wrong person. I don’t even know who this Baron T Colin you’re talking about is!”

”There’s no need to deny it. You killed Baron T Colin. The scent on you can’t be removed. We tracked you by the scent!” the Earl said in a deep voice, ”Otherwise, how do you think I found you?”

”Ah?” Ye Qing was taken aback for a moment. He hadn’t expected these foreigners to be so sensitive to scent. He had been curious how these foreigners could track him, and now he finally understood. It seemed that denying the murder of Baron T Colin was impossible.

”Confess honestly, where did you put the map from Baron T Colin’s body?” the Bishop said in a deep voice, ”I advise you, don’t play tricks on me. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you wish you were dead!”

Seeing the Bishop so eager to force out the map’s whereabouts, Ye Qing became even more certain that the map was indeed a problem, and he definitely wouldn’t answer.

”I already gave that map to someone else,” Ye Qing fabricated off the top of his head.

”Someone else? Who did you give it to?” The Bishop’s expression changed. This matter was becoming troublesome.

Ye Qing said coldly, ”Hmph, even if I told you, so what? Would you dare to go find them?”

”Speak, who did you give it to!” the Earl said angrily, ”Who do you think we wouldn’t dare to find?”

”Is that so?” Ye Qing cast a cold glance at the Bishop and said, ”Prince Nalan of the Capital, have you heard of him?”
