Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing couldn’t figure out what these two old men were doing, and Old Wang Ba didn’t tell him, so he didn’t ask further.

Waiting there until eleven o’clock, Ye Qing then packed up, ready to go to Wan Yan Manor in Jin Village to rescue Yelu Ying.

”Come on, come on, Eighth Master will take you there.” Old Wang Ba beckoned, instructing the two old men to lift Wu Changming and go downstairs directly.

”What are you guys doing?” Ye Qing said helplessly, ”I’m going to save someone, not to play a match, are you all going to be my cheering squad?”

”I know, I’m just taking you there.” Old Wang Ba paused, then said, ”Besides, once you go to Wan Yan Manor to rescue someone, they will definitely chase you. Eighth Master can’t stay here either, so we might as well hurry over to the village entrance and wait. Once you get the person out, we’ll drive off directly.”

”You have a car?” Ye Qing asked in surprise.

”Of course, a big off-road vehicle!” Old Wang Ba replied.

”Then why didn’t you drive to pick me up just now? What’s with the electric bike?” Ye Qing’s displeasure was evident as he pointed to his clothes, ”On the ground floor just now, I was almost torn to shreds!”

Old Wang Ba shrugged and said, ”I have a car, but I can’t drive.”

”...” Ye Qing was speechless, what kind of logic is this?

”Mr. Ye, it’s my car.” Wu Changming looked at his broken leg and arm, smiled self-deprecatingly, and said, ”You can see my condition now, I’ll definitely part ways with cars in the future. So, I’ve given this car to Eighth Master; it’s his car now!”

”I see.” Ye Qing nodded and said, ”I was wondering if this old guy had stolen someone else’s car again.”

”Hey, what are you saying? What’s this about stealing?” Old Wang Ba said, ”How many times have I told you? What Eighth Master does is not stealing, it’s borrowing without notice.”

”Borrowing without notice is still stealing!” Ye Qing muttered.

Old Wang Ba said, ”It’s different. Borrowing means I’ll return it. Stealing means I won’t. Even though I borrow without notice, I still return it, so it doesn’t count as stealing!”

Ye Qing couldn’t be bothered to argue with him, he helped to carry Wu Changming downstairs and found Wu Changming’s off-road vehicle.

Wu Changming’s car had plenty of space, and it was a three-row seat model. Ye Qing settled Wu Changming to lie in the back, then drove directly towards Jin Village.

From here to Jin Village, it’s about twenty miles. Ye Qing had pedaled over on an electric bike just now, so he was quite familiar with the road conditions. Also, there were streetlights everywhere along the roadside, lighting up the road and making driving even more convenient.

Old Wang Ba, the chatterbox, wouldn’t stop talking once he got in the car, constantly murmuring to the three people in the back. However, the two Elders kept ignoring him, leaving only Wu Changming occasionally responding to him, but essentially, it was all his solo conversation.

Ye Qing was annoyed by Old Wang Ba’s chatter, but he couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to him, focusing intently on driving. When they were halfway there, a blinding light suddenly shone from behind, dazzling Ye Qing through the rearview mirror. Immediately afterward, the roar of an engine came from behind, a car was speeding over, startling Ye Qing. He quickly turned the steering wheel, moving the car to the side, just as a luxury car sped past them.

”Damn, this bastard is speeding?” Old Wang Ba cursed, ”Opening the high beams so bright at night, don’t they have any public decency?”

Ye Qing was also a bit irritated inside because when driving in the city, it’s common to encounter people who don’t care about others and swagger around with their high beams on. Nevertheless, Ye Qing kept silent, focused, and continued driving towards Jin Village.

After driving a further two kilometers, he was surprised to find that the luxury car had collided with a van ahead, right on the road. Three flashy-dressed young men were shoving a man in his thirties. The man had his head down, seemingly apologizing to the three young men, but they kept pushing him around.

There was no doubt that the luxury car was driving too fast and, with its high beams on, the van had no time to avoid it, causing the collision. The van’s driver appeared to be an honest type, overwhelmed by the yanks from these three young men.

Seeing this situation, Ye Qing couldn’t help but frown. When the luxury car sped past earlier, he was already irritated. Now seeing this fight blocking the entire road, he had no choice but to stop and take a look.

As soon as Ye Qing got out of the car, he heard one of the young men yelling, ”This car of mine cost three hundred seventy thousand yuan; just damaging a headlight costs over ten thousand, and the front bumper is broken, costing fifty to sixty thousand. So, what are you going to do about it?”

”Brother, this... this isn’t my fault, I... I was driving at a normal speed, moreover, your... your high beams were on, I couldn’t even see the road. I had already stopped my car, it was... it was you who crashed into me...” the van driver said with a sobbing tone, ”Besides, you... your car had already crossed over to this side of the lane, technically, it’s... it’s entirely your fault, not mine...”

”You stop talking nonsense about responsibility or no responsibility, can’t you see me crashing into you, wouldn’t you avoid it?” the young man said furiously.

The van driver said softly, ”If I dodged to the side, that... that would mean crashing into the mountain...”

”Oh, so what you mean is, you didn’t want to crash into the mountain, so you crashed into our car?” The young man pushed the van driver, saying angrily, ”You didn’t want to damage your own car, so you decided to damage mine? Fine, then pay the fifty to sixty thousand and we’ll call it even. Otherwise, don’t you dare think about leaving!”

Van Driver: ”This... this isn’t my fault, I...”

”Don’t fucking talk to me about responsibility, do you know who I am? Do you know Li Gang? That’s my dad!” The young man glared and said, ”Talk to me about responsibility, believe it or not, if I run you over, there’s still no responsibility!”

”Li Gang!?” The van driver drew a cold breath and trembled, ”You mean... from the city police department?”

”Hmph, you know quite a bit!” The young man said proudly, ”Alright, since you know who my dad is, let’s talk about compensation!”

The van driver was completely speechless now, his eyes brimming with tears, not knowing what to do.

Ye Qing witnessed all this and couldn’t help but sigh. The arrogance and insolence of these so-called privileged second-generation were nothing new anywhere. But this young man’s level of arrogance was a first for him.

Looking at the van driver’s teary eyes, Ye Qing slowly walked over and first glanced at the three young men.

”What are you looking at?” The young man who spoke earlier immediately asked angrily.

Ye Qing ignored him and leisurely walked over to the luxury car. After a moment of silence, he suddenly pointed at the car window and asked, ”How much is this glass worth?”

”My whole car is imported, just one piece of glass costs three or four thousand yuan!” The young man replied smugly.

”Oh.” Ye Qing nodded, picked up a stone from the side, and suddenly smashed it. The glass was actually smashed through by Ye Qing.

The people around were stunned, especially the three young men, whose eyes widened.

”Are you looking for death!” The young man who spoke earlier immediately ran over and kicked toward Ye Qing.

Ye Qing sidestepped, grabbed him by the neck, and lifted him. Then, with both hands on his shoulders, he hurled him onto the roof of the luxury car, leaving a dent in the car.

The young man suffered multiple fractures from the impact and lay on the car unable to move.

The other two young men arrived, and upon seeing the situation, were shocked. They quickly turned to run, but Ye Qing caught them both with one hand each.

”How much did you say this car was worth earlier?” Ye Qing asked.

”Who... who are you? Do you... do you know who we are?” one young man asked, trembling.

Ye Qing slapped him and said, ”I asked you a question, answer honestly, don’t try my patience!”

”You... dare hit me...” The young man covered his face, glaring at Ye Qing through gritted teeth.

Ye Qing slapped him again and said, ”Still don’t get it? Answer my questions honestly, and you won’t get hit.”

”You... you...” The young man, eyes reddened, shouted angrily, ”My... my dad is the deputy mayor’s secretary, you...”

Before he could finish, Ye Qing slapped him again: ”Don’t you understand human language? When I ask you a question, answer honestly. If you answer wrong, you’ll get hit, got it?”

The youth, after being slapped three times, was stunned and finally pointed at Ye Qing, shouting angrily, ”You...”

Ye Qing slapped him again, and the youth was on the verge of breaking down, yelling, ”You’ll pay for this!”

Still another slap, Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”You want to play with me? Then let’s keep playing, and I’ll see when you’ll finally answer my question.”

As Ye Qing spoke, he started to rain slaps down on both sides, not giving the youth a chance to speak. After a dozen or so slaps, the youth’s cheeks were swollen like a pig’s head, and he immediately became much more compliant.

”Big brother, please... stop hitting, I’ll... I’ll talk, okay...” The youth pleaded, teary-eyed.

”Then talk.” Ye Qing raised his hand and said, ”Remember, don’t talk nonsense, or you’ll get hit again.”

The young man hesitated for a long while, then asked tearfully, ”Big brother, wh-what was your question again...”

Ye Qing slapped him again, saying, ”So disrespectful? Didn’t hear my question? Do you need a beating?”
