Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: A Weighty Responsibility

The fourth brother soon stopped crying after being fed, and the second mother hurriedly handed him to Jiang Hu, then brought San Ni over.

”San Ni must be hungry, let mom feed you some milk.” Seeing San Ni’s bright eyes looking at her, the second mother couldn’t help but smile, her previous worries dissipating.

The fourth child was really too thin, only half the size of San Ni, which made her anxious. Aunt Liu’s words kept echoing in her ears.

Xiaomi responded to her mother with a few ”ah ah” sounds, the faint smell of milk wafting over, making her stomach rumble.

There was no time for shyness. She opened her mouth wide and started sucking. Although the Spiritual Spring water could temporarily relieve hunger, it couldn’t replace a meal; now she was finally eating.

Unfortunately, the prolonged hunger had left the second mother’s breasts shriveled, and there was hardly anything to eat after a few sips. Luckily, she had some in store, enough to stave off hunger for a while, even if she wasn’t completely full.

After Xiaomi finished eating, the second mother tidied her clothes and picked Xiaomi up for a kiss, ”Good girl, San Ni, mom just ate something, soon I’ll be able to feed you again.”

The fourth child was small; a little bit was enough, but San Ni was likely still not satisfied.

Xiaomi comforted herself with half-closed eyes, it’s okay, it’s okay, she had milk powder and Spiritual Spring in her space, she would get something to eat later.

”Second mother, look, San Ni is so good; she’s responding to you.” Jiang Hu sat on the bedside holding the fourth child, finding San Ni more and more adorable the more he looked at her.

”Yes,” the second mother nodded with a smile, ”San Ni hasn’t cried at all, so well-behaved.”

The second mother still looked tired, so Jiang Hu quickly placed the child on the bed and helped the second mother lie down, ”You get some more sleep, I’ll go make something to eat.”

The second mother nodded. After having two children, she was indeed very drained, especially with nothing much to eat at home; she could only rest as much as possible.

She wasn’t worried about herself, but she was concerned about her two children. The babies had just been born; apart from drinking milk, they couldn’t eat anything. Whether the two children could survive depended entirely on her.

The fourth child was so small, Jiang Hu put him in the middle, with Xiaomi beside him, and tied a bundle of straw next to Xiaomi, afraid she might roll onto the floor, completely forgetting that newborns can’t roll.

”Er Ni, watch your younger siblings; Da Wa will go cook with me.”

Jiang Hu left with Da Wa. Er Ni lay by the bedside watching her mother and siblings, while Xiaomi closed her eyes and entered her space.

”Bowls, bowls, bowls, I remember there were bowls in the supplies.” Xiaomi headed straight for the pile of supplies and immediately found two large bowls and two spoons.

She could freely control things in her space, so she quickly took a small bowl to the spring in the courtyard, filled half a bowl with Spiritual Spring water, and then went to find milk powder.

”First stage, this is it, food for Little Dot and me. This adult milk powder will help mom strengthen her body.”

Xiaomi was an orphan in her past life, but in this life, she had parents and siblings, and they seemed to share a good relationship, with loving parents and harmonious siblings, which she was very satisfied with.

Since the space was not lacking in food and drink, Xiaomi felt it was her responsibility to provide for everyone!

Humming a light tune, she controlled the milk powder canister to open, mixed the milk powder according to the ratio, and then exited the space.

”San Ni, woke up so soon, huh?” Er Ni was still lying by the bed, and when she saw Xiaomi open her eyes, she quickly came over, ”San Ni, I’m the second sister, you know?”

Xiaomi made ”ah ah” sounds, she knew, she knew; she’d give her some milk powder too when she found the chance.

”San Ni is really good, knowing her second sister is talking to her.” Er Ni looked at Xiaomi with starry eyes. San Ni was so cute, never crying or causing trouble, unlike other kids who are so noisy.

Xiaomi slowly put her fingers in her mouth; Er Ni was still too young to know that sucking fingers wasn’t good, so she didn’t stop her.

Xiaomi carefully controlled the prepared milk powder in the space, letting it trickle into her mouth, silently counting to avoid choking the fourth brother later.

Once she was full, Xiaomi knew the amount. She had grown up in an orphanage and had taken care of abandoned infants before, so she had a general idea of baby food intake.

However, because the fourth brother was weak and small, he would need frequent small feedings.

San Ni was still young. After watching for a while, she got distracted. Seeing the opportunity, Xiaomi quickly stretched her hand to feed the nearby fourth brother some milk powder.

Fortunately, the siblings were close enough, so it wasn’t a problem. Xiaomi fed the fourth brother about ten milliliters, which, combined with the mother’s milk he had earlier, was about enough.

Feeding him drop by drop avoided choking, and the fourth brother knew to swallow on his own.

She originally wanted to give some to her mother, but the fourth brother lay between them.

”Second sister, second sister, come help!” Xiaomi cried out, mom had just given birth, she needed food, or she’d starve!

”What’s the matter with San Ni?” Although Xiaomi didn’t cry loudly, it attracted Er Ni over.

In the middle, in the middle, I want to lie between the fourth brother and mom!

Xiaomi kept making ”ah ah” sounds while glancing at the spot between the second mother and the fourth child. Her cries were soft, not enough to wake them.

Perhaps because little ones understand baby talk, or she just somehow understood, Er Ni knew what Xiaomi wanted.

”Does San Ni want to sleep next to mom?” Er Ni asked.

Xiaomi quickly responded with cheerful sounds, indicating the right answer!

”Wait a moment, second sister will move the fourth brother first.”

Xiaomi quickly quieted down.

”San Ni is very smart, understanding what her elder sister is saying at such a young age.”

Er Ni gently gave Xiaomi a kiss on the cheek before moving the fourth child to the foot of the bed, then placing Xiaomi next to their mother, and finally bringing the little brother over.

Possibly because he was full, the fourth child slept soundly, and the second mother, weakened by her condition, was almost in a semi-comatose state.

Xiaomi lay next to her mom, even feeling her body not as warm.

Not wanting to bore San Ni, Xiaomi pretended to sleep by closing her eyes, and as soon as San Ni’s attention wasn’t on them, she gently placed her finger in her mom’s mouth.

The adult milk powder soaked in Spiritual Spring was not given drop by drop but instead in a stream from her fingers into her mom’s mouth.

The second mother unconsciously drank the milk powder, quickly finishing half a bowl. Tired, Xiaomi withdrew her hand and closed her eyes to sleep.

In any case, she could now support her little brother and mom, couldn’t she? As long as her mother was okay, the siblings should be able to survive.

As for their older siblings and father, she’d think of a way after she woke up.

The nearby Er Ni seemed to catch a whiff of something, sniffing the air, ”Smells so good.”

It was a scent she’d never smelled before, but it was so fragrant that it only made her already hungry stomach even hungrier.

Xiaomi hummed a couple of tunes, of course, it was fragrant, it’s the smell of milk powder!
