The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 539: Chapter 539- Delicia’s Past (3)

As Reinhardt did not hide where he was looking, Delicia soon became aware of his gaze. Maybe it was the wine, or maybe it was the loneliness in her heart ,or the fact that she was feeling insecure. She did not try to hide her body.

”The Divine Beast you summoned is called Void Pupa because just like you, it is still trying to find its strength. The other name for the divine beast is Mnemosyne. It currently appears as low tier; however, once it reaches its last form, it cannot be considered anything less than a Sacred tier”.

”What?”

Delicia gasped in surprise. Her summon was sacred tier?! She was so shocked that the loose lace at her shoulder slipped down her arm.

Under the light of the crystals, the full, heavy curve of her breast lay bare. Now, Reinhardt could see everything: the beautiful shape of her boobs, the areola, which was a dusky rose, the nipple, which was taut and pebbled from the cool draft or... something else.

Although it wasn’t something like he hadn’t seen before, he still enjoyed the service.

She caught his stare and blushed a little, then slowly, deliberately, pulled the lace back up with a casual finger.

”...Then why didn’t you say all that earlier?” she questioned.

The words the commander spoke to her during the morning training made her think that he had lost hope in her. Delicia’s eyes became hazy, and she curled one leg up onto her chair, then the other, hugging her knees to her chest as she cried.

The motion hitched the hem of her negligee high up her thighs, revealing the shadowed junction where her legs met. The sheer fabric did little to obscure the plump shape of her vulva, which was a soft pink.

Reinhardt noticed a damp patch darkening her panties and clinging to her folds.

Shifting his eyes away, he explained. ”It’s because it’s true that the beast you summoned is currently low tier. Your beast is one that survives what others cannot. It burns, breaks, and rises again. That kind of affinity is rare, even if the tier doesn’t reflect it”...

”In the future, as you grow confident and stronger, the pupa will crack, evolving into its next stage. At the end of its growth, it will become Sacred tier. As such, it all depends on the summoner itself. That is to say you. If you can break past your limit, then you will become stronger than anyone”.

He could tell why she was chosen by the Void Pupa. The beast, just like her, had a long incubation period until it reached its full strength.

”Does that mean that you have not given up on me?”

With eyes that were holding lots of repressed emotions, Delicia looked at him.

Reinhardt shook his head. Give up? Who would willingly throw away a golden goose? Since it was not reflected in her status yet, she could not see her traits. However, that doesn’t mean that he could not.

[Skill Alchemy] & [Prodigy]... Once these two traits are unlocked, her achievements in the future will become unpredictable. She was one of the few talents in his order with the potential to reach the level of Extreme Knight.

”I have high hopes for you”.

”Thank you...”

For the first time that day, Delicia laughed genuinely. Her movement caused the already loose lace to give up its hold again, exposing both the breathtaking breasts.

The size, the suppleness, and stiff nipples pointing at him, it was irresistible. Delicia was aware of her own indecency; however, she wasn’t bothered. In fact, she even felt happy in her heart by his attention.

Furthermore, thanks to his presence, she no longer felt lonely.

”Delicia,” Reinhardt stood up from his seat and walked towards the fireplace. After rekindling some more wood so that the fire won’t go out any time soon, he sat down by the couch nearby.

As he stared at the burning fire, his expression became sombre. ”By now, you must have also realised it. Your shortcomings. The feelings and memories that you are keeping suppressed within your heart”...

”It is the reason why you are unable to progress any further. I want to help you; however, I can’t if you don’t tell me what happened to you. What is it that changed you so much after joining the Silver Shields? The weight that you are carrying”.

While it was true that he knew about the Silver Shields, it was mostly about their expeditions and the Commander he was friends with. Delicia had been a member of his order for almost close to a year now, and he knew very little about her.

If he wanted to rescue her and make an Extreme Knight out of her, he needed to know about her story.

Delicia, whose mood just lightened, made a stiff expression. Then slowly by slowly, the smile on her face disappeared, replaced by a palpable gloom. It was clear that even after so many years, even after joining another order, the memories from the past still bothered her.

Delicia was silent for a while, and Reinhardt didn’t bother her either. He continued to wait, hoping that she would open up to him. Finally, she stood up from her chair and walked towards him.

Bathed by the glow of the fire, her figure was fierce. The thin fabric of the negligee did little to hide her body.

The auburn color of her hair, that beautiful yet strong willed face, a figure that was maintained through rigorous training, and curves that could steal one’s breath. At this moment, Delicia looked so sexy that it was hard to resist her.

Those full peaks, the tips that pointed out through her fabric, the soft swell of her stomach, and the beautiful arcs of her pelvis, every inch of her gave off intense sex appeal.

Delicia walked towards him and sat by his side. The distance between them was practically none; he could feel her skin, her softness pressing against him.

With the fireplace as the backdrop, their legs entwined with each other, the fire casting seductive shadows.

”I joined the Silver Shields over five years ago.” A distant memory, one that she had buried deep in her heart, surfaced up.

”As a promising and talented member, I quickly climbed the levels and learned skills that others took months and even years to acquire. I completed one mission after another and racked up achievements. The Commander saw my talent and praised me”.

At that moment, she locked her body with his arms, in an attempt to seek comfort. Reinhardt glanced at Delicia, whose eyes were glued to the fire, a bitter smile playing on her lips.

”The other knights, the ones who’d been in the order for years, didn’t take kindly to a woman, a newcomer, getting such favor. They started shunning and spreading shameful rumours about me”.

Reinhardt nodded. Talent does not always guarantee success. Sometimes, it draws in negativity, leading to one’s downfall. The more brightly a talent shines, the more isolated it becomes. It was the same for Delicia.

”Of course, at that time, I was unaware of my surroundings and how their gazes started to change and become strange at some point. Then one day, while I was walking towards the armory after finishing my training late, I heard what the knights thought about me”...

”The way they saw me, my achievements, my struggles... they disregarded everything and made it seem like all of it was nothing but me gaining favour from my superior through other means”.

Speaking to his point, she started laughing self depreciatingly. ”I was so naive. I thought if I just worked harder, proved myself... they’d see. I thought I made friends, a few who saw me for me. And among them was a man named Gerrant. We trained together. Laughed together. I thought... I thought it was love. I thought I had comrades I could trust with my life.”

Recalling her most humiliating and nightmarish experience, her body began to waver. Without even her realising, she pressed her body tightly against him, her thighs brushing against his pants, in a slow, unconscious friction.

Of course, the woman herself was unaware of it.

”I thought it was love. I thought I had comrades I could trust with my life. However, it turns out they were simply deceiving me. They were using me for their own means, to rack up their own achievements. Huff... Huff... Finally, on the crucial mission in the Blackreach Gorge, they threw away their masks and huff... huff... revealed their hideous nature”.

At this point, the woman started trembling like a leaf and her body became cold like an ice. Her condition was so severe that Reinhardt had to hold her close to his chest. Only then, did a little bit of warmth return to her body.

Delicia continued, soldiering through her torment.

”Our mission was doomed to fail the moment a high-ranking demon, a Corrupter showed its appearance”.
