The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 535: Chapter 535- Progress In [Divine Beast Summoning]

Exhausted, Zerina collapsed forward onto his chest, her body soft and boneless. For a moment, there was only the sound of their ragged breathing.

Then Karina moved. Just like how the other party had shoved her aside earlier when she was riding her master, she did the same to the panther woman. She pushed Zerina’s limp form to the side.

The latter, exhausted and wea,k fell to the side without any resistance. With the nuisance gone, Karina straddled him.

She did not directly shove her hips down, no, she instead looked at her master’s cock that was still slick and coated by the scent and fluids of her rival. And so, she started to rub her lower lips that was wet from her own arousal on him.

What was she doing? Of course, she was grinding her own wetness against him, coating his sensitive flesh with her cool essence. Her plump vulva made lewd shapes as they spread apart to rub against the length of his rod.

While she was grinding her nether region, her hands moved up his chest, feeling Reinhardt’s rigid chest and powerful heart. She leaned down, her inky hair creating a private cave around their faces.

Then, without wasting a second, Karina planted a kiss.

”Ungh... Shhh... Mmmff~” She kissed him again, all at the same time while her hips continued that maddening, circular grind.

Slowly, by slowly, she removed Zerina’s scent and fluids away from her master and coated it with her own, almost in a possessive claim.

SCHLIK... SCHLIK...

A white slurry covered the region, which was in constant grind. Seeing that everything was ready, Karina sank down, taking him into her cool, tight depths of her pussy as Reinhardt’s world dissolved into a dark, perfect night.
Sleep was like an unstable bridge, constantly shaking and creaking as if it would break at any moment. In such a state, Reinhardt drifted in a hazy limbo, his body heavy and partially aware of everything going around him.

His mind was dreaming, but his body was awake and every sensation was textured... tangible. The silkiness of the sheets, the softness pressing on his skin, the two distinct heats beside him, the current of euphoria.

Sounds entered his ears, voices from the two women beside him. They were talking, but their conversation was a mystery to him.

Back in the bedchamber, Karina, who was tired after a session of fierce grind, slowly stood up.

POP... Her beautiful pussy made a lewd pop noise as she slowly took out the thing inside her. Rivulets of love nectar poured out of her hole that was still stretched open even after leaving his side, a string connected them to each other.

A picturesque sight.

”Don’t move him too much or he will wake up,” Zerina spoke languidly, her naked body stuck next to Reinhardt.

”Wake him? Hmph, look at master’s face. He is having a good dream because of me. It should be you who should be careful, bouncing your hips up and down like a cat in heat.” Karina’s reply was cold and ruthless.

Zerina looked at her with feral eyes. She still remembered the other party’s antics earlier, where she used her shadowy skill to torment her.

As much as she wanted to take revenge, she knew that right now was not the time. Their master and commander was sleeping soundly; fighting would only disturb him. After glaring at the other party, she agilely slipped to his side, pressing her mesmerising body on him.

Karina did the same. She slipped to his left and rubbed her heat with his own.

For the rest of the night, the blanket kept on rustling with the two girls healing his body and mind.

Days passed by steadily, each day marking repetition, failure, and steady progress. Every morning, Reinhardt stood in the training ground, looking at his knights’ practice.

”Stop forcing your mana. Relax it. Let it breathe.” His voice echoed across the field. From time to time, he would instruct them whenever they made any mistakes.

”Don’t listen with your ears. Sense the wavelength.”

”You’re trying to command it. That’s why it resists.”

”Lower yourself. Meet it halfway.”

Again and again, he corrected them. For most, the effort was maddening, especially the new recruits. They sat in silence for hours, eyes closed, mana circulating aimlessly. For those who had yet to even learn the most fundamental skills of the order, trying to communicate with the Wayfarer proved to be a herculean task.

Of course, the others were no different either. They agonised every day, gritting their teeth in frustration while trying to accomplish the task.

Throughout all this, Reinhardt did not rush them. He had enough faith in his members.

On the final day of the week, change finally came. ”I... I think I understood something.” Holy Knight Bob’s eyes widened in excitement, his hands holding the Wayfarer.

It was not just him; one after another, the others also started getting the hang of it. Holy Knights, High Ranking Knights, and other veterans like Vangeance, Rolan, and Delicia began to show signs.

Although they couldn’t completely converse with the Divine Beast, they at least understood it to a degree. Simple impressions, intent without words. Of course, it was still in the early stage, but they nonetheless took a step forward. That alone was enough.

Be that as it may, he was only talking about the talented individuals. The outliers or the truly monstrous geniuses like Silvia and Gwen had already taken the next few steps.

The former sat perfectly still, her mana flowing in a clean, gentle loop around the Wayfarer. When she opened her eyes, they shone faintly with amazement.

”I didn’t know they were so intelligent.”

Gwen followed soon after. Her expression shifted constantly: confusion, surprise, then determination. She whispered something under her breath, and for a brief instant, the Wayfarer in her hand pulsed in response, as if acknowledging her will.

”Both of them can converse with the Divine Beast now,” Reinhardt noted.

That’s right, the two most gifted knights of his order, after just a week of training, were now not only able to understand the Divine Beast but also convey their will to it. That crossed the threshold from sensing to communication.

Reinhardt stepped forward, his gaze sweeping the members of his order. ”This is enough,” he declared. ”No matter how gifted you are, [Soul Synchronisation] cannot be rushed. Even prodigies need time to stabilise it. As long as you continue like this, every one of you will acquire it.”

After a brief silence, he spoke again. ”We will now move on to the next step.”

The members of the Temple of Light collectively sighed a breath of relief. They could finally move on to the next step.

”When I say the next step, I do not mean [Mana Channelling].” Reinhardt clarified. ”Instead, what we are going to do today is determine the kind of Divine Beast you are compatible with.”

At his words, all the knights straightened their backs, their interest piqued. Seeing the change in their faces, the Divine Paladin smiled. He was precisely aiming for that: to gather their interest.

Practising blindly without a definite goal would only stagnate their motivation and effort. If they were shown their goal, the result they were working hard for, then their progress would be multiple times faster than what it was now.

Under the curious eyes of the knights, Reinhardt took out his sword and started carving a circle in the ground. With criss-crossing edges, runic letters, and complex sigils, the thing he was drawing was a formation.

”This is...” Everyone looked at the wide 3-metre circle in confusion and curiosity.

Reinhardt did not explain and continued with his work. After drawing the circle, he waved his hands and took out a pile of mana crystals he had prepared beforehand. Mana crystals were used in magic engineering and all sorts of fields and could be mined from a mana vein. However, their most essential use is similar to that of a battery.

Reinhardt exerted a bit of force and crushed the mana crystals into powder. Then he scattered them around the formation and every corner. Finally, after a while, he was done setting up.

”This is an Affinity Resonance Array. It is capable of reading your mana, your soul’s inclination, and wavelength.” Reinhardt began his explanation. ”It will tell you three things: First, your elemental and conceptual affinity. Second, the type of Divine Beast you are capable of summoning. Third, the tier you can currently reach.”

The knights listening intently showed various kinds of expressions. Some understood what he meant; others were still processing what he said. Well, as they say, watch and learn. He ordered them to step into the circle one by one.

”Remember, this is not about strength; your level means nothing. Even if you are level 8, you might fail to resonate with higher beasts, and while some who least expect it may be chosen. It all depends on affinity. Now then, let’s begin.”
