Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

“Is that so? Well, I’m glad for you, I also have a good experience with them regardless of what my father would say sometimes…” Olivia smiled. “Katherine is her name, right? May I see her?”

As Olivia asked that question, I noticed her face seemed a bit fascinated with the prospect of seeing another fairy.

I think she might be a fan of fairies and fae…

“Ah, sure! Katherine! Can you come here please?” I called Katherine without sounding too rude.

“You called, Master Elayne?” She quickly flew to my side, flapping her big, colorful wings, and arriving to my left side, glancing at the many guests. “Oh, so many guests… Welcome to our humble home. I hope you can enjoy your stay for the moment.”

“Thank you, you’re really nice…” Said Rose.

“This is incredible, a real-life fairy!” Albert said, more excited than Rose was. “I can’t believe it! This must be the first one I see ever…”

“W-Wait, really?” I wondered. “Well, I’m glad you like her… Olivia?”

As I glanced at Olivia, I realized she had just gone and hugged little Katherine, the little fairy tried to escape her but was completely unable to do so.

“Oh my! You’re just the cutest, dear Katherine!” Olivia cried. “You look just like the fairy I had back when I was a child! Such colorful wings and long hair! Oh my god!”

“E-Eeeh? Please don’t touch my wings!” Katherine grew redder. “M-master help me!”

“O-Olivia please be nicer with her…!” I quickly grabbed Katherine and dragged her away from the hands of the Magus.

“A-Ah…”

Olivia suddenly looked at us with surprise, she completely lost her manners and everything once she saw the fairy.

I think she might have a little obsession with them…

“I-I apologize, that was unbefitting of a noble magus such as myself…” She muttered. “Ahem! A-As I was saying before, I am… happy to meet you, Katherine! You’re so adorable!”

“T-Thanks?” Katherine looked at Olivia with a weird face. “Um master, is she a new friend of yours? She’s weird.”

“Please bear with her, she’s just a bit… enthusiastic,” I said. “Right?” I asked Rose and Albert, who nodded while smiling slightly bitterly.

“Ah, well, I’m glad you think that of myself, I am indeed quite the enthusiastic person!” Olivia laughed. “Anyway, what were we talking about? Oh right, fairies! So you are going to be absent for one or two days while you go to Avalon with Katherine to ask King Oberon for an extended contract, is that right?”

“Y-Yes…” I nodded. “Rose and Albert didn’t seem to like the idea… But I am doing it either way, for Katherine here… And well, I told you so you and SWORD could keep this area well-guarded.”

“Hm, I see, well I suppose there’s no heling it…” Rose sighed. “We’ll talk with Reagan about this, when are you going exactly?”

“I guess not right now right? Probably in like a week, you have to prepare a lot when you travel between Realms… not like I’ve ever done that actually, but yeah,” Albert said.

“Actually, we are planning to go today!” I said.

“TODAY?!”

Rose and Albert reacted at the same time, looking rather flabbergasted.

“C-Can’t you delay it for a bit Elayne? We can’t really just easily tell Reagan about this without him getting a bit mad,” Said Rose.

“Haha, nope, sorry, we are going today and that is the final decision,” I said. “I know my Domain is what they’re aiming for so I hope you could protect it while we are absent? The Druids and Kaguya here will also protect it with you. There are also the Urban Spirits, the Totem Spirits, and Ignis. Oh right there’s a group of Fire Bears, but they’re still growing up.”

“I see, you’ve certainly made the place stronger…” Rose nodded. “Ah, fine, not like we can do anything right now, and this place has become too precious for SWORD to let any warlock get their grubby hands on anyway.”

“If that’s the case then we should get going and tell Reagan as quickly as possible that we’re protecting this place from your absence,” said Albert. “So we’ll get going.”

“I’ll also help out protecting the perimeter, a day or two shouldn’t be too bad, and if Reagan is paying me overtime, even better,” Olivia smiled. “Well, I would also expect some compensation later from you, Elayne. While you’re gone, I might also improve the domain’s defenses with an Extra Domain surrounding it.”

“Y-You can do it on your own?” I wondered.

“Yes it shouldn’t be too hard to create a larger, reinforcing formation around yours…” She nodded.

Hmm, should I let her get that close to my Domain and alter it though?

Better not to trust her too much…

I know she’s a good person and everything, but I am a bit paranoic right now.

“I think it’s alright how it is now, Olivia, but thanks,” I said. “I could do it later though, maybe if you help out. Just being outside is fine with me.”

“Hmmm… Very well, if you insist,” she shrugged. “I’ll set up a Barrier Formation either way, similar to the one we used against the ants, remember?”

“Oh yeah that barrier of perception alteration, right?” I wondered. “Yes please! Set as many barriers as you can… I’ll also set up my own using my Halo’s Powers.”

“Halo’s Powers? Oh wait, right, you somehow possess an Angelic Halo! I had almost forgotten that, so your ability allows you to create barriers as well?” She wondered.

“Yeah, I can modify the barriers and transform them similar to formations, but they aren’t near as powerful as your own,” I said with a nod. “Nonetheless, that’s all I have so I just have to use it to make the place safer!”

“Very well then,” Olivia nodded. “I would be thankful if you allowed me to see that Barrier Ability you have, I am completely intrigued by what it could be about!”

“Hm, okay, I’ll let you see it as a payment for the information you shared with us,” I nodded.

“E-Eh? Ah… Well, alright,” She nodded.

This was what trading information was all about, baby.
