Paragon Of Sin

1946 Chapter 1938: Creating A World Soul; An Ambitious Desire

When the Ancient Zenith made a move, no matter how slight, waves upon waves would crash against the hearts of those gossiping few. As the preeminent alchemist of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, and while not the first Ancient Zenith in history, the very first Ancient Zenith of her title and Alchemist who had attained the Resonant Soul Realm with an Alchemic Soul! She was genuinely peerless!

Others often took alternative paths, altering their Spirits of Cultivation before challenging the Resonant Soul Realm after heavy preparations. Heaven-Saint Thunderhaven was a prime example of a former Alchemic Soul cultivator who shifted away from the Alchemic Dao, transitioning to cultivating a Thunder Soul. Despite his status as a Heavenly Saint Alchemist, his abandonment of the Alchemic Daoʼs unique brand of purity had directly eliminated him from contention to become a Zenith.

Only those whoʼve dared to attempt the ascension into the Resonant Soul Realm with an Alchemic Soul would be able to attest to the true difficulty of doing so. It was so notoriously difficult that the Holy Void of Fortune had only had THREE existences in its entirety to have ever accomplished such feats. A well-recorded written history that extended for tens of millions of years!

The Ancient Zenith was the second! The first was an entity at the nascent stages of the Holy Void of Fortuneʼs development, supporting several powers that would inevitably rule over greater galaxies. The Alchemist was heralded as the origin of the greater galaxiesʼ higher form of Alchemic Dao that had ushered in the Resonant Soul Realm as an attainable stage in societies.

The third was an unknown figure. No one knew who they were, only that they were born in the seven to ten thousand or so years, albeit they might be older via temporal acceleration zones. According to various Supreme Seers and Oracles, this entity was a peerless talent who had a trailblazing legacy no different than the first. While ears were kept on this figure, whether deliberate or not by the experts of the Holy Void of Fortune, there was no publicly released information regarding their identity, circumstances, or even location.

Some doubted whether they even existed.

Su Yi was on the vessel sent to invite him back, flying to the Utmost Purity Galaxy at top speed. The Ancient Zenith had sent an envoy to present an invitation to him, showcasing that he had firmly placed himself on her radar. This was a true elite of alchemy, genuinely unrivaled in alchemic strength, possessing true alchemic qi that could resonate with the heavens. Such a resonant qi under the power of an Alchemic Soul was bound to be perfect for concocting Mystic-Heaven graded products, perhaps even daring to concoct a Mystic-Soul grade product.

ʼDuring my past life, even as a Cardinal Sage as a Microheaven Envoy, I couldnʼt invite her to concoct a pill for me, unable to afford it or receive an invitation. In this life, as a True Sage, she took action to invite me. Does that reflect how extraordinary my path so far has been? The decision to risk it all for rebirth was right.ʼ

Su Yi was formerly a Cardinal Sage in his past life. A prominent figure who was well- regarded for his strength, and talents had allowed him to become a Cardinal Sage before entering the Daoseed Seeker Phase, a showcase of his incredible talents and ability, yet the unforgettable failures of eight ascensions had left his talent in great question. He had cultivated a flawed foundation that inevitably caused him to fail again and again despite his efforts.

In fact, he had tried many ways to remedy this, including his desire to concoct a specialized product, but the Zeniths of his generation were not his allies at the time, with many disliking him due to various past actions, and most Heavenly Saint Alchemists lacked the skills to navigate such a high-level issue. He had tried multiple times, yet consecutively failed eight-EIGHT-times despite using products and natural treasures. His problem was too existentially deep, unable to be solved without faux-immortal items or greater.

He was in great woe, desperate and drowning, yet his unyielding spirit seemed to have been heard by the heavens as he was granted a second chance. It wasnʼt exactly uncalculated. He understood the concept of good karma derived from the daos, so he had slaughtered countless sinners of all types before his reincarnation attempt. Fortunately, he had grasped success.

What few didnʼt know was that Su Yi wasnʼt a Blessed in his past life. He was a cultivator born to an extraordinary family of superior talents, great wealth, and authority amongst the galaxies. His path to the peak was easier, not a zero-to-hero story as his current lifetime where his only advantage was his former memories and the Sword of Transient Realm that followed him through rebirth, bonding with his True Soul.

ʼWhat could the Ancient Zenith desire from me?ʼ Su Yi wondered in his heart. He could only hope that nothing nefarious was looming underneath this invitation.

The Ancient Zenith hadnʼt only contacted Su Yi. Several others were contacted as well, all Ascended beings, not Supreme Existences. They were individuals with thriving fortunes or grand origins, but they were not limited to the Utmost Purity Galaxy, extending out to the Holy Void of Fortune and even the lesser galaxies beyond. Her earlier absence was linked to this very reason.

Her actions had stirred several greater galaxies, yet few refused her invitation. However, her intentions werenʼt publicly clear, and even some Supreme Sages were baffled by her actions.

Wei Wuyin was among those who had no idea what she was aiming for. While she had agreed to have a ʼDao Discussionʼ with him, he had respected her unwillingness to use an Incarnation to do so. Since she was out of the galaxy, there was nothing he could do about that. Who wouldʼve thought her expedition was a gathering expedition?

Su Mei had already sent a wad of fresh intel regarding the Ancient Zenithʼs recent exploits through their newly cultivated channels of information, mostly stolen from the Arachnids. She had visited the Prosperous Ruin Galaxy and the Thriving Prohibition Galaxy, excluding the Treasured Vale Galaxy amongst the Holy Void of Fortune, alongside the Buried Sword Galaxy, True Rembrandt Galaxy, and Astral Gaze Galaxy. A total of six galaxies, three greater and three lesser!

Wei Wuyin quietly contemplated as he slowly refined the rogue planet, a luminescent glow of seven colors permeating every surface and speck of dust. It was a dead planet, lacking any value after its sky layers collapsed and the orbit was thrown into disarray.

He delved into his mind as his eyes flickered with faint traces of heavenly golden light. ”A Karmic Sky. A phenomenon of great movement of Karmic Fortune. It doesnʼt seem like I was the only one, either.”

As a Bloodline of Sin Inheritor, Wei Wuyin could sense Karmic Surges or small instances of karmic luck usage at certain distances. From what he could tell, roughly above Su Yiʼs path back to the Utmost Purity Galaxy, there was another Karmic Sky generated.

ʼIs he an Empyrean too?ʼ Considering he had acquired over a million Karmic Luck Value total from his kills, there was a strong possibility that Su Yi would have acquired the Blessed Virtue status. Moreover, he had an instinctual feeling without explanation that Karmic Sky was a blessing limited to Empyreans. He always trusted these feelings, knowing that they originated from his Magi bloodline. The literal descendants of Creation combined with his daring attempt at peering into the obscure secrets of the Heavenly Daos back then.

While he was younger, he didnʼt understand all these unique abilities compounding into his almost irrationally correct instinctual and intuitive deductions or conclusions, but as of now, he fully understood why and somewhat understood the how.

Su Yi becoming an Empyrean and then summoning a Karmic Sky...what an unfortunate series of events if that woman sought his fortune. After all, he was an Exploitative Blessed, the logic of his deductions of Karmic Luck Value was largely on the lesser side, bestowing opportunities at the lowest level that could, with ingenuity and strength, acquire greater blessings. Due to this, based on his own abilities, he could obtain nothing upwards to everything, potentially exceeding anything the Heavenly Daosʼ intentions.

An example of this was the Battlefield. He was intended to be an Alchemist, but he joined as a fighter, acquiring Athena and the Nexus War Flag, things far, far beyond his cultivation at the time.

Meanwhile, Su Yiʼs life thus far indicated a War Blessed. His path was fraught with combat, suitable for a swordsman, and he retrieved fortune from the corpses of others or seized opportunities amidst danger.

Despite his connections with Hong Xuannu, Chu Xing, and Superior Yujin, he was no Interlinked Blessed that thrived on relationships. Most of these connections were a direct result of his past as a Cardinal Sage, cascading into steady relationships with Supreme Existences.

If so, then Su Yi must have expended multiple times his own Karmic Luck Value for this opportunity. And if the Ancient Zenith was involved, he might have acquired his Karmic Luck Value and lost the vast majority of it almost immediately after. He didnʼt know whether to laugh or feel gloomy. The bait that had fattened itself had immediately vomited out everything without a return.

Unbeknownst to Wei Wuyin, that woman had killed billions out of pure rage. Su Yi hadnʼt just expended his newly acquired Karmic Luck, but he had almost bottomed out entirely for this single opportunity!

The rogue planet was soon refined. Slowly, the sky layer was reformed into nine layers, each thicker than the last. The earth was renewed with an everlasting aura, brimming with vitality as plants began to grow, and bodies of dried water regions were filled to the brim with enriched and pure water. Whether they were ponds, rivers, lakes, seas, or oceans, they had returned.

Instantly, the planet was reborn anew. Wei Wuyin inspected the planet while imbuing his Void Elemental Intent within, allowing its planetary core to naturally absorb void energy to convert into a variety of elemental origin energies. This ability would allow it to flourish until its core was destroyed.

Wei Wuyin gently dug his fingers of one hand into the renewed soil, sending pulses of Enlightened Everlasting Power within, tethering to the growing plants, the sky layer, the planetary core, and the earthen layers. Then, his other hand dug into it as well, sending out pulses of Alpha Genesis Power and Alchemic Akashic Power.

He thought for a moment as he kept infusing these three varieties of powers. After a full minute, he removed his fingers and flew out of the sky layers. He didnʼt harm any of the nine sky layers on his exit. After traveling about a thousand miles away from its atmospheric layer, Wei Wuyinʼs throat expanded slightly, and a faint dark-grey fiery light was created.

With a light breath, he expelled a surge of dark-grey draconic flames imbued with temporal energy. The flames engulfed the entire planet. In an instant, the planet experienced an extreme, extreme temporal acceleration. Within ten seconds, roughly ten thousand years had passed.

Wei Wuyin thought for a second as he used his fingers to send Omega Saber Power within. Curating the planet of excessive growth of life and development, allowing it to be directed without unhealthy overgrowth. Some of the trees were touching the Sky Layer. Catastrophes had to be generated to temper a world without animal life.

Wei Wuyin tapped into greater levels of strength, imbuing his draconic breath of temporal flames with stronger qualities of time, accessing the mutated Major Time Law. The dark grey color darkened as ten seconds turned into one hundred thousand years.

After exhausting a considerable amount of power, Wei Wuyin kept this up for three whole minutes, totaling several million years. The power within had digested while the flow of energy was constant, absorbing from the Void, an existence where time was fairly ever-present and unique.

When Wei Wuyin retracted his breath, he saw a lush, vibrant green and pure, brilliant blue planet. Its size was only tiny-sized, but the core was thrumming with age, strength, wisdom, and awareness.

It was alive.

The planet had given birth to a World Soul!

”Your cultivation method for a World Soul actually works!” Athena was in utter awe. This wasnʼt Magusʼ invention but Wei Wuyinʼs!

A World Soul was as wondrous as a Star Soul; if a cultivator refined one using unique methods, they could call forth a genuine Edict of a Sage. The World Soul was the natural way of initiating an Edict of a Sage, allowing a destined or Blessed inhabitant to connect with its unique awareness for the benefit of both sides.

This was how the first Edict of a Sage was experienced during the beginning of cultivators, and how the first Law was grasped by living existences. The method was obviously outdated and extremely difficult to accomplish, so cultivation societies created countless ways to bypass this, creating artificial Edicts of a Sage and other variants using their own cultivation bases. A natural progression of societyʼs evolution.

However, with a complete World Soul, Wei Wuyin had acquired one of the few materials he needed to create his very own idea...an idea for a Mystic-Heaven grade product!

However, acquiring one was beyond difficult. A product that requires one without the ability to generate more was a pointless endeavor. This was similar to using natural Solar Stars for products, which led to many societies collapsing out of greed.

”The World Soul has natural qualities!” Eden remarked with interest. Similar to the Solar Stars he had created, the Elemental Origin Energy was the defining point of creating natural celestial bodies. While the World Soul was created via his method, the foundation was based on a natural progression of growth, only greatly accelerated, so even its World Soul was natural in quality. If he used his own Samsara Soul Energy to create it, it would be artificial, which was the common way by which greater galaxy societies created World Souls.

Wei Wuyin commuted with the World Soul. It was like an infant, barely capable of communicating, but it was intimately familiar with Wei Wuyinʼs aura. Sensing the mother that nurtured its growth for millions of years, it was welcoming immediately. If Wei Wuyin wanted, he could connect with it and initiate an Edict of a Sage with a unique method.

With a bright smile, he kindly comforted it before placing it in a Void Crystal the size of a marble. He decided to send it to Xue Yifei as a birthday present. She would certainly love this, especially since she always complained about not having her own planet.

”I only need one more thing and I can create it,” Wei Wuyinʼs eyes glowed with great ambition. Under his breath, he whispered: ”My very own Mystic-Heaven Pill!”
