Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1933 - 1925 The Emperor’s State

”Hm?” Wei Wuyin sensed a subtle pulse of dao energy stirring within his very cells, prompting him to instinctively place a hand over his midsection where a faint belt radiated a pure, tranquil, and all-encompassing presence—the essence of the Mortal Dao. Was his Stellar Paragon Idol partially stirred to life? The sensation was almost reflexive, yet no keen intuition nor heightened senses could pinpoint its origin.

How intriguing. Could this be the handiwork of a possible Inheritor casting some incantation or divination? Yet, why manifest only a single blessing? As Wei Wuyin mulled over these potential explanations, Su Yi struggled with his own turmoil—Chu Xingʼs eyes were wide with shock, her lips parted in disbelief, heartbeat erratic.

She had just borne witness to the Paradoxical Correction wielded by the Keeper of Time! As a Resonant Soul Realm cultivator, her deep spiritual connection to her Microheaven granted her a rare immunity; though her physical existence was erased by the Keeper of Time, her Resonant Soul preserved her memories intact, a tether that defied oblivion. The event left her utterly bewildered.

Meanwhile, Su Yi fought desperately against the temporal cleansing. Possessing mastery of the Minor Authority of Time, he held an unusual resilience unmatched even by True Sage or True Soul cultivators, who inevitably succumbed to memory wipes and corrections—perceiving the erased as mere blurry shadows, placeholders awaiting their mental re-filling.

For Su Yi, the individual erased from time was transformed into a seemingly benign, yet inwardly sinister ferryman figure—a character he distrusted and felt indifferent toward. This spectral illusion, consistent with reality, spared his own memories and emotional resonance from damage.

Gradually, his Minor Authority flared with temporal radiance, consuming his Soul Energy at a rapid pace. Rather than reclaiming his memories by force, the Minor Authority had dispatched a soul petition to the Heavenly Realm of Time Law, directing it to the Keeper of Timeʼs judgment.

The petition?

”May I please retain my memories?”

This request was like a low-ranking employee asking a distant, uncaring boss for a brief leave or promotion.

Usually, the Keeper of Time would refuse outright. None had been spared. Minor Authority simply lacked the clout. However, as a Blessed cultivator, Su Yʼs petition was prioritized and supported by the celestial Daos—his unique status tipping the scales.

At last, Su Yiʼs Temporal Eye bathed in a wave of cooling relief as immense pressure was lifted. Memories stayed uncorrected, though the price was soul energy drained so thoroughly it left him pale and gasping. Lifting his eyes, Su Yi saw the chaotic remnants siphoned away to some unknown era by the Keeper of Time—a side effect of interference from a Resonant Soul explosion disrupting the Paradoxical Correction, something that had to be rectified.

This accidental intervention had resolved a thorny problem long haunting the outskirts of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, thanks to the divine-like purge enacted by a Resonant Soul cultivators sacrifice.

As for Wei Wuyin, no correction befell him. There was no need to petition; the Keeper of Timeʼs erasure energy passed over him entirely.

Not because of his mutated Major Authority—though that alone might have granted exemption.

Not due to his Blessed Empyrean rank, which would have expedited approval.

Not by virtue of his triple blessings over the great daos, his Stellar Paragon Physique, his Alchemic Stars of Unrivaled Creation, or even the presence of Magus or Eden—though all these traits would protect him from mental erasure.

No, it was solely his identity as a True Void Dragon—a rare metaphysical hybrid born of both Time and Spatial Dragon bloodlines, yet transcending both and wielding a far broader dominion. Time entities descended from the River of Time were blessed to defy temporal restrictions and fatal paradoxes outright.

What had seemed like the ominous White Abyss was but a gentle breeze to him, a mere stroll in the cosmic garden, thanks to his profound synchrony with time and space. This also explained his unparalleled ability to conjure paradoxes without consequence.

His Cyclic-Dawn Abjuration Art was nothing short of miraculous—a singular creation that synthesized the core strengths of four Astral Souls, with Kratos leading the charge —enabling a long-thought impossible feat: the deliberate generation of Paradoxes.

And surviving them, no less.

Su Yi and Chu Xing stood aghast. They were among the few living beings—including Yijun Meng—bearing witness to Wei Wuyin unleashing his Ascension Art. Their minds and hearts roiled with confusion and fear. What manner of profound technique was this? Had he actually summoned the Keeper of Time itself to dispatch his target?

What in the actual—

”You best leave now or go back. Those who desire my focus already have it,” Wei Wuyin warned, as the Mystic Runic Sphere began circling him, sputtering bright bursts of pure mystical energy. He resolved to investigate the sudden brief activation of his Belt of Mortal Virtue later, since it had vanished as quickly as it appeared.

”Your focus?” Su Yi was caught off guard. Perhaps that was their intent. But would they truly seek it in the coming moments? Observing the regal, imposing aura radiating from Wei Wuyin, he felt a storm of chaos gathering ready to engulf the galaxy. He inhaled deeply then exhaled with weight, sending a spiritual warning: ”Watch for those lurking in shadows—they bite only once their prey is ensnared.”

That was the only cryptic caution he offered, prompting Wei Wuyinʼs amused sidelong glance.

A soft scoff escaped Wei Wuyin. Su Yi snatched Chu Xing and fled—not toward Utmost Purity Galaxy, but away from it. They streaked across star-studded voids on his sword. ”Ready?” Wei Wuyin interrupted the lively, warm exchange among family, immediately sharpening their focus.

”That was quick! Ugh! That river really knows how to clean up,” Ori grumbled, pouting at the interruption.

”Keep concentrated, Athena. Weʼll return soon,” Magus smiled. Encouraged, they all offered parting words before withdrawing from the Mindʼs Eye, leaving Athena and Little Defiant to continue refinement peacefully.

The chaos spawned by the explosion obscured details for onlookers. Only those mysterious earlier gazes had pierced through. Wei Wuyinʼs Celestial Eyes granted him perfect clarity, while Su Yi perceived presences via innate hypersensitivity. None else could break through, and even if they did, none had found them.

“Itʼs been awhile since we did this,” Eden remarked, setting to work. Eden, Kratos, King, Ori, and Magus moved seamlessly as one; their energies weaving through Wei Wuyinʼs body, erupting from his pores and swirling in the air. The Mystic Runic Sphere dissolved into his dantian.

Suddenly, Wei Wuyinʼs silvery eyes darkened significantly, clouding with a grim, deathlike gleam. His garments tore.

”Ugh!” he coughed, spewing blood while containing his primal soul energy—an aura laced with Necro Intent—sapping his vitality. His complexion fell pale and slack, utterly depleted. Fine cracks began forming along his neck, hands, and near his eyes, pulsating faintly as if clinging to cohesion.

These fractures werenʼt tainted with death energy but instead pulsed with genuine life force tethered to his lifespan, faintly suffused with soul energy, possibly indicating strain on his soulʼs endurance as well. This life essence was mirrored by Magus’ unique Enlightened Everlasting Energy, a perfected imitation of the raw, ownerless vitality marking Edenʼs realm. Yet refined and imbued with Magus’ personal aura, it seemed uniquely his.

Ori gasped in awe, ”So vivid! So real! Youʼre incredible at this! Hehe!”

Magus worked even harder, pride swelling.

Elsewhere, faint but destructive power infused with Long Shiyaʼs soul aura was etched across Wei Wuyinʼs skin—violent and threatening. This was Edenʼs handiwork.

King simulated the annihilation of three fingers, part of the left shoulder, and the entire left leg. The destruction was illusionary. Wei Wuyin had mastered form-shifting, allowing him to retreat the essence of those parts elsewhere, ready to redeploy instantly while Kingʼs handiwork created the convincing false impression of true loss. No harm was done.

Kratos directed Wei Wuyinʼs bodily responses, dampening his breathing, physical pressure on the environment, and the chaotic spatial distortions caused by his frail strength—making him appear like a dying cultivator desperately clutching to existence. Ori cheered him on, tweaking each effect to enhance realism, like the final brushstrokes on a masterpiece.

Together, their combined aura exuded a weakened spirituality. Edenʼs alchemical spiritual presence manifested within Wei Wuyinʼs malformed frame, while King radiated a distinct imperial majesty, subtly veiled by Kratosʼ primeval divine mist—signs perceptible to those sensitive enough—indicating two Spirits of Cultivation: a somewhat healthy Alchemic Soul and a barely concealed Imperial Soul.

Then, Wei Wuyin produced several fragments of Heavenly Treasures salvaged from the vaults of the Resolute Dusk Galaxy. These remnants—imperfect or failed creations— were then imbued with six layers of his Law auras. To an outsider, these appeared as defensive safeguards dampening the blastʼs impact.

Next was Element—his Nascent Saber Soul, damaged during battle. Its treasured scabbard and the saber’s corporeal Essence of War material suffered injury, emitting a fierce World Saber Intent, yet the blade remained trapped within the sheath. When Wei Wuyin eventually succumbed to unconsciousness at Magus’ and Edenʼs hands, the Elementʼs physical form clung desperately to his grasp, unwilling to release—even though slow to unsheathe.

Floating slowly now, Wei Wuyin drifted ever closer to the gravitational pull of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, his battered frame revealed as the dissipating chaos cleared. He resembled a half-living corpse, barely grasping at life after a titanic sacrifice.

A half-dead husk unwilling or unable to activate Soulguard Absconding and escape, forced to abandon the unparalleled alchemic geniusʼs body—it was up to the mind to Ur GU ULI I GS SIA ST Yi 5 Sy es up i conclude which.

For now, like a fisherman baiting a hook, he only had to wait...

And it seemed the catch wouldnʼt be long coming.

The Utmost-Heaven Guardian Array was gradually opening a breach. A handful of void vessels emerged, apparently exploratory. Yet the Supreme Sages clandestinely aboard signaled something far more ominous brewing.
