Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1902: Chapter 1894: Trust & Potion

”Held off?” Yue Songli questioned aloud as she sat at the edge of a satin sheet bed within a room that resembled an art gallery, decorated with various artistic objects from paintings, sculptures, and lines of poetry inscribed on bamboo, scrolls, and jade.

Her white bedwear was simplistic yet perfectly accentuating her every feminine curve, tight around her waist, cupping her bust, creating the heart-pounding sight of two full moons luring the gaze of earth, man, and heaven exposing a portion of her lower legs and their flawless skin. With her feet bare, each toe was painted a soft white color. She was the embodiment of sensual beauty radiating utmost purity.

If she were a little more sultry, there would be little doubt that the stories of women seducing men through supernatural means would surely be designated towards her.

Yue Songli pouted her lips with uncertain feelings. There was a lingering emptiness in her heart after reading Wei Wuyinʼs transmission. Their two-year date was supposed to be coming to a premature end soon, finalizing their relationship through union within the Utmost Purity Galaxy. She was initially worried about coming off as inexperienced and boring, but after significant preparations from her supportive sisters, especially Cao Cuifen and Liu Suyin, she felt prepared.

However, Wei Wuyin had left her with an unspecified date, only that they likely wouldnʼt do so soon. She didnʼt know how to feel regarding this development. On one hand, she felt happy that he wasnʼt treating this moment like a checklist of things to do. After all, recently, Wei Wuyin has been making continuous moves for the Neo-Dawn Empire and his own cultivation, achieving world-shocking feats with every action.

She still found it incredible that Wei Wuyin had gone from a mere mortal to associating with beings equal to myth-like gods. She had only heard some of the things these Supreme Existences can perform, such as true revival, sealing off the heavens from the world, eternally cursing bloodline lineages, building galaxies, and killing things on an existential level, preventing any potential for reincarnation.

However, despite his meager cultivation base as an Ascended being, and from what she knew, likely at the Mystic Star Phase, the actual first stage of the Mystic Ascendant Realm, he could inspire respect, invoke fear, and exert authority over this greater galaxy. Not only that, he had placed three lesser galaxies under the Neo-Dawn Empire banner.

Early on during their travels across the starry skies, she had fleeting doubts whether she was worthy or if she was attractive enough to earn his love. Perhaps she was only lucky that she had met him when he was weaker. Yet when those thoughts began to emerge in her mind, Wei Wuyin had time and time again crushed all doubts with his actions, both verbal and non-verbal. The way he looked at her was something she hadnʼt experienced from anyone as an outsider observing interactions, even some Dao Companions lacked such intense feelings and heat.

Since she knew in her heart that Wei Wuyin wouldnʼt hesitate to ravage her, she could only sigh with a tinge of disappointment.

”Is this the disadvantage of having an exceptional husband?” As she muttered, she began to brightly smile. Those silver eyes and tall form flashed in her mind, illuminating her heart, filling it with not just light but joy. Even if they were to hold off for a while, within these two years, they would consummate their relationship. She had no doubts about this.

It was she who was rushing unnecessarily. She felt like a woman whose steak was too juicy and wine too delicious, complaining that she had to wait two minutes for them after ordering. She had no issue with letting Wei Wuyin continue to cook up his plans in the Utmost Purity Galaxy, and when he was done in this kitchen, after a day of hard work... ”Iʼll be waiting for you to eat what Iʼve prepared.” Her words exuded a seductive thread that might have brought Wei Wuyin to a world of irresistible temptation, especially paired with her large, radiant smile.

-----

Original Dawn Palace, Alchemical Chamber.

Wei Wuyin stood hunched over a table with furrowed brows. Both of his arms pressed against the edges of the table, with his index and middle fingers tapping the sides, producing a rhythmic sound of wood echoing out.

”I donʼt know whether Iʼm more shocked by your self-restraint towards Yue Songli or the unconditional trust you have in Su Mei.” The Heavenly War Spiritʼs words caused the tapping cadence to increase in speed.

”Lust is a sin. Trust is a virtue.” Wei Wuyin remarked casually as he glanced at his left arm before moving his gaze to the Neo-Dawn Ascension Cauldron atop the table, waving his hand to withdraw a bottle from his Void Ring. The Neo-Dawn Ascension Cauldron was no different than a Mystic-Heaven grade treasure after concocting a transcendent Mystic-Heaven grade product. Both Bai Xius were in a state of rapid growth. An ongoing state... They couldnʼt be used without hindering that growth.

As for his secondary cauldron, it had yet to fully recover from the transcendent Mystic-World grade concoction session.

”Are they?” The Heavenly War Spirit asked with a shruggingly rhetorical tone. She had no motivation to argue with Wei Wuyin; her focus was entirely on that bottle Wei Wuyin had brought out. As someone with a front row seat to Wei Wuyinʼs heaven-eclipsing actions, she had long since accepted that his thoughts were hard to measure or anticipate, and he was on an indescribable spectrum that was indecipherable and unpredictable.

She understood the absolute truths: Wei Wuyin was just a Mystic Star Phase Cultivator and a young man who had yet to reach two hundred years of existential awareness. However, this man was playing the game of Supreme Existences unlike anything she had ever expected possible. He was an outlier of the greatest degree.

Moreover, she lived within his Sea of Consciousness and was keenly aware of the changes occurring to Edenʼs Astral Form and Mystic Core. After his creation of a new Ocular Spiritual Spell, the maximum foundational limits of Eden that were already excessive to an extreme had expanded yet again. Considering these four Astral Souls seemed to be intimately interconnected yet possessed the ability to act freely and independently, their foundations were always equalized by their joint efforts.

If Eden was experiencing these changes, then so were the two Astral Souls in his dantian and the Astral Soul within his heart. She canʼt estimate the strength he possessed, and the sheer fact that he could freely use Major Authorities was already unimaginable and unreasonable.

Pakhet, a True Sage at the time, had to imbue the Major Authority of Metal Law into her body, blood, and soul to utilize it due to her insufficient Soul Energy, and that had caused her soul and body to collapse. If not for Wei Wuyinʼs life-saving operation and efforts to secure her life, she would have long since become a physical manifestation of the Laws of Metal—an everlasting metallic statue.

It was highly debatable if her True Soul would have been encased in her body until shattered for as long as the Heavenly Law of Metal remained unchanged.

However, those two truths were yet to be finished in development. Wei Wuyinʼs timely withdrawal of that bottle had dissipated her desire to probe, focused solely on the liquid within that stirred her on a fundamental level that she had seldom felt before.

Transcendent Edict Potion.

Gulp.

Wei Wuyin could swear that he heard a salivating gulp from his Sea of Consciousness, causing his lips to curve into a smile. The bottle on the table was the Edict Potion, one of the four Treasures of Fortune that gave the Holy Void of Fortune its name. This wasnʼt consistent throughout all cultivation societies, but these four products created the foundation of the former galactic clusterʼs growth during ancient times when the cluster was far more than just thirty-three galaxies.

The four Treasures of Fortune were: The Soul Pill, the Edict Potion, the Void Pellet, and the Mystical Paste—also known as the Incense of Mysticism.

”The Edict Potion!” The Heavenly War Spirit hoarsely exclaimed. The Edict Potion was a vastly superior alternative to an Edict Seed, capable of generating a natural and genuine Edict of a Sage. Moreover, it was unrestricted by which Heavenly Law could be selected. It could be ANY Heavenly Law.

When Wei Wuyin daringly declared that he intended to initiate war and then win that very war, the Heavenly War Spirit was both pleasantly surprised that Wei Wuyin cared about her development and deathly afraid that he was vastly overestimating himself, especially since she had a very limited time frame.

She had even mentioned that there were ways to bypass this without initiating a full-scale war, but had very little confidence that Wei Wuyin could do so via alchemy. The only way was to become a Heavenly Saint Alchemist. However, with the deadline fast approaching for her to fulfill the requirements of her transformation, there was no way for him to achieve that in her eyes.

Yet this man defied her every expectation, continuously advancing on the path of alchemy with unstoppable momentum and speed. Not only had he attained the Heavenly Saint Alchemist status, earned the recognition of the Alchemic Dao and the fourth level of its Unique Intent, but acquired the Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation and then subsequently used the very product they needed to establish himself with irrefutable success.

Moreover, this wasnʼt just an Edict Potion.

This was a TRANSCENDENT Edict Potion.

She was unable to even begin to understand what type of alchemical effect this Edict Potion might bring. Additionally, she was uncertain if even Wei Wuyin was aware.

As if reading her thoughts, Wei Wuyin calmly observed the Edict Potion, ”I donʼt know what will happen.”

”...!” She expected as much, especially considering that Wei Wuyin was putting it off despite the allure.

The quality of transcendent was highly unpredictable, and even its creator wouldnʼt be able to easily estimate its effects. Despite his Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation equalling the fourth level of Alchemic Stars, the Alchemic Stars of Pure Enlightenment, the stage that only exceptional Heavenly Saint Alchemists or Soul Saint Alchemists possessed, he couldnʼt decipher a single thing.

He had always held some reservations regarding consuming transcendent products, only doing so after much preparation. However, the Sempiternal Resonance Domain was a strong baseline of how stupendous the benefits of a transcendent Mystic-World product could be.

The Sempiternal Resonance Domain far exceeded the early stages of the Resonant Soul Realm, and it was a convention-shattering domain that defied at least an entire cultivation realm and a half, potentially touching the next realm beyond the Resonant Soul Realm.

Within it, he could sense the aura of eternity that wasnʼt linked with soul or spirits, like with the Eye of Immortality or the blessing from his Stellar-Paragon Physique. This type of power was akin to a Qi Condensation Realm Cultivator at the External Flow Phase grasping a true Worldly Domain.

It would be the easiest path of ascension for them, allowing them to birth all nine elemental qi, the purest yin qi, the most vibrant yang qi, and the principles and existence mana to merge yin and yang. They would almost instantly ascend to the False Reality Phase within mere moments of unfurling their Domain.

It was by leveraging this domain that Wei Wuyin could control essence imbued with the aura of eternity, alongside using Utmost Purity Liquid of the appropriate grade to negate the potential of integration rejection.

Without the transcendent Neo-Dawn World-Eclipsing Pill, he would have never been able to defy all expectations and concoct this transcendent Edict Potion.

”Have you...made enough preparations?” The Heavenly War Spirit was aware that Wei Wuyin didnʼt wish to recklessly imbibe this potion. Not all products were beneficial, and some could lead to disastrous effects. What if this product didnʼt create an Edict of a Sage?

Wei Wuyin heaved a deep, exhaling breath. ”My physique should have the ability to refine the eternal qualities. Thereʼs only one thing left to do.”

”Remedy the expanded limits of our Astral Forms and Mystic Cores,” Eden completed the thought.

”It does feel strange!” Ori commented, ”Itʼs like I was extremely full, so full I couldnʼt eat anymore, and then suddenly, I had room for more!”

”Tch,” King added its input.

”Hurry! So many delays! Kratos grumbled angrily. In truth, it was redirecting its anger. The origin of that anger was none other than the ravishing beauty—Yue Songli—of an age that had remained unravaged. Out of the four, it was secretly the one that influenced Wei Wuyinʼs bodily desire the most.

”...” The Heavenly War Spirit was unable to understand their various feelings, but she had observed the Samsara Spiritual Energy and Little Defiantʼs influence via infusion on Eden. After the Ocular Spiritual Spell was completed, the Eye of Samsara, Wei Wuyinʼs capacity for his spirituality had expanded out of nowhere, affecting each of his Astral Souls and causing them to grow as well.

It seemed the Celestial Eyes of Spiritual Divinity he cultivated were a two-way street, and each subsequent creation or integration of an Eye of Dao affected them all. Then again, this was somewhat expected since Wei Wuyin had solved their excessive Spiritual Strength by expanding his spiritual limits via integrating the Eye of Creation.

That was a temporary remedy that was later permanently solved by the Stellar-Paragon Physiqueʼs creation. However, the effect of expanding his spiritual limits remained, but the only issue here was that they were at their maximized state, not overflowing with power, so they had more room instead of making room for already existing power.

”Thereʼs a decision that remains,” Eden solemnly said.

”To ascend,” Kratos added.

”Or to not ascend,” Ori added poutily.

”Tch,” King added, meaning: before consuming the potion.

The Heavenly War Spirit heard it all and instantly understood what this suggested. She couldnʼt help but begin to ask, ”But the Edict Potion isnʼt about foundati—” Catching herself, she recalled the unpredictable effects of a transcendent product.

Wei Wuyin nodded, ”Exactly. By ascending, I can gather more confidence to deal with unpredictable effects that may arise, but if the potion affects my fundamental mortal foundation, then ascending beforehand will be a net-negative. Only a scant few aspects of the Mystic Ascendant Realm can be changed post-ascension, but these arenʼt genuine changes, as they can be modified throughout via typical cultivation, not just alchemical products or heaven-defying treasures. The foundation develops as a mortal becomes irreversible. The Mystic Star Phase is the last chance given by the mutual agreement of both great daos to rectify issues.

”However, true foundational aspects of cultivation are eternally cemented. Only the Mystic Star Phaseʼs uniqueness allows for the change of my fundamental foundation.”

”...!” All four Astral Souls, Little Defiant, and Element remained silent.

This was a great decision. Both decisions can give birth to eternal regrets.

”So thatʼs why youʼre taking so much time to consider, and why you havenʼt ascended yet despite having maximized your foundation during the Alchemic Clash,” The Heavenly War Spirit could sense Kratosʼ throbbing and roaring heartbeats calm, clearly understanding the heaviness of the situation, dissipating all of its anger.

Potion first.

Ascend first.

”Letʼs put it to a vote,” Wei Wuyin decided to take this route. There were potential benefits and detriments to both paths, so it was only right to have all of their input.

”...” The Heavenly War Spirit found herself surprisingly tense.

Eden slowly illuminated within his Sea of Consciousness, about to make a decision.

But the first to speak was King.

”Potion.”

When that word was spoken, the divide within Wei Wuyinʼs mind and that of the family was instantly annihilated.

”Potion.” Ori voted.

”Potion.” Kratos voted with a roar.

”P.o.t.i.o.n...” Element shockingly transmitted its thoughts verbally! After reaching the fourth level, it had undergone a great change! Both King and Ori immediately send waves of praise its way, causing a saber howl of joy and pride to resound throughout the chamber.

Wei Wuyin smiled.

”Potion!” Little Defiant was unable to speak, but it conveyed its thoughts clearly.

”While itʼs risky, potion first it is.” Wei Wuyin was actually leaning toward ascending first. This wasnʼt out of his fear of failure, but because he felt like an Edict Potion that was based on the Heavenly Laws wouldnʼt affect his Mortal Realms foundation at all. If he had spoken first, there was a 90% chance that it would have been his choice.

In fact, that was the same for Eden! If he had spoken first, he would have chosen to ascend first!

”Alright, then letʼs use this time to reach a maximized state again!” Wei Wuyin brought out a Mystic-Earth grade Vortex-Zone Pellet Variant. With over thirty years to spare before the next calamity, he was willing to use his time for this.

Sometimes, a single decision made all the difference.

Whether that difference was negative or positive, the world was about to find out!
