Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1865 Chapter 1857: Heavengazer

”...”

Man and beast flew through the Dark Void while Spirits of Dao, Nascent Souls, World-Bound Solar Star, and Spirits of Cultivation remained silent as the atmosphere was rife with a somber haze.

The Blank Dominion was located outside the Refining Skies Galactic Zone, beyond the edge of its borders, stationary within the Void-Blank Space within that region. In the Utmost Purity Galaxy, its light-devouring properties made it stand out from any planet, causing it to serve as a galactic constant. While the galaxy spun, the Blank Dominionʼs spatial territory never moved from its fixed point, and it had occupied in its lifetime the region of space within all the known galactic zones within the galaxy.

After several hours of flight and silence, Wei Wuyin heaved a heavy sigh containing all his riled emotions caused by Bai Linʼs comments. When did he become so lacking in accepting his flaws? Introspection was an ability he considered himself extremely well-versed in.

”Youʼre right, Bai Lin.” He openly admitted, without finding an excuse to mitigate the pain of the truth.

”Mm.” Bai Lin hummed as if to say, ”I know.” After their intimate unity, she was exposed to many things, and while Wei Wuyin was a master at reading mental fluctuations and deducing emotions of others, crafting expertly devised schemes while having the adaptability of a young, open-minded genius, there would always be matters within himself that he would suppress or ignore.

Bai Linʼs assessment was only generated due to those emotions and thoughts bleeding into her. She felt his overwhelmingly intense feelings, the honest and warm love that he had for her, alongside the extraordinarily intense lust, love, and fear he had toward his other lovers. Without a doubt, she was the one who was keenly aware of his thoughts greater than anyone else.

At least, for now.

”Also,” Bai Linʼs eyes blinked innocently, ”I think you should find her.”

Wei Wuyinʼs eyebrows lifted curiously. Instinctively, he understood who she was referring to. She was a proud figure, heroic in essence, and a beauty accentuated by her valor and breadth of spirit. Their relationship was rather distant, yet Wei Wuyin had always admired her from afar, often considering her a troublesome figure to associate with but a worthy ally to have if interests aligned.
”Iʼll think about—” Before he could get out the next word, the Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation were evoked in full.

Kree!

Bai Linʼs golden flames were born, enveloping her body in a thin layer of gorgeous fire. Her presence skyrocketed as her fiery aura reached levels that were enough to threaten Sages. Her fiery brilliance sought to illuminate the world, yet a shroud of impenetrable darkness enveloped the two, preventing all light from escaping.

”Oh? What an extraordinary Fire Phoenix.” A deep, echoing voice that seemed to originate from all things dark, veiled, and filtered by the horrors and uncertainties of night, resounded within this cage of darkness.

Wei Wuyin was visibly at complete ease, seemingly unconcerned by the abrupt shroud of darkness that enveloped him and Bai Lin. He only lifted a curious brow as if awaiting an explanation.

The voice continued with an emotionless depth, ”Only at the Third Nirvanic Rebirth Realm, yet she exhibits a strength that could rival True Sages. A true wonder. To be the mount to you, the Neo-Dawn Ascension Emperor of the Neo-Dawn Empire of the Onestar Galaxy, certainly justifies her abnormal existence.”

Wei Wuyinʼs expression remained unchanged as he waited.

”Then again, her ancestral bloodline lineage seems to be directly related to Phoenix of Nirvana, one of the nine children of the Progenitor of All Avians, and her bloodlineʼs purity seemed to be developing in an extraordinary direction. I wonder…how a small world built in a pseudo-Dominion of a Heavenly Treasure imbued with Void Energy had given birth to such an incredible bloodline…”

Wei Wuyin shook his head with a tinge of a smile on his lips, ”Are you done yet?” This newcomer clearly wanted to shake Wei Wuyinʼs mind through these probing reveals, yet he was unshaken by any of these words. They were all things he knew.

”...” The voice went silent for quite a while. The shroud of darkness quivered slightly. ”The third condition has been completed,” the voice suddenly said.

”It has, Heavengazer Encompassing Night.” Wei Wuyin nodded as his gaze moved, homing onto a specific spot as his Celestial Eyes located the hidden figure melding with the darkness without the slightest sign of disharmony, embodying the starless night.

After retrieving the Seers of the Nightʼs Mythical Contract forged during the Game of Mystics by Rippledark, implicating the entire organization, Wei Wuyin had met the Golden Night Sovereign and forced a meeting with the illustrious Supreme Seer—Heavenly Seer Encompassing Night. There, he had performed a contract of threes to surrender the Mythical Contract.

Firstly, the Supreme Sage and his assistant Seers must actively shroud designated targets from foreign divinations. This didnʼt include himself but others. It was already notoriously difficult to glean into his fate, this was largely due to the protections the Bloodline of Sin afforded him and how confusingly blind the Heavenly Daos were, while his identity as an Empyrean provided a natural protection against divinations. Not even a Supreme Seer would recklessly divine details of a Blessedʼs fate.

Secondly, no information must be disclosed or sold to other organizations outside of the Utmost Purity Galaxy for one hundred thousand years regarding himself or those karmically linked to him.

Thirdly, a direct and verbally given agreement to an All-Alchemic Clash between himself and the Zeniths, and any results from this All-Alchemic Clash would not be hindered or interfered with.

This involved the establishment of the Neo Zenith Tower, the acquisition of the Alchemic Dao lineage and legacies of the Zeniths, and the silence toward the speculation that Wei Wuyin was the legendary talent in question. While these three conditions seemed insignificant and limited, they were perfect for his desires. Moreover, his initial conditions were far more excessive; the negotiations were rather intense and frustrating.

Initially, Wei Wuyin sought a complete prohibition on divinations regarding his empire and his karmic ties by the organization, including a lifetime shrouding effect, but that was far too much, and this Supreme Seer refused to relent, placing reasonable time constraints and restraints.

”Good,” Heavenly Seer Encompassing Night flitted through the darkness, attempting to evade Wei Wuyinʼs Celestial Eyesʼ Soul Perception via several spells, yet Wei Wuyin indifferently followed along. The most hilarious thing was that Bai Linʼs head was moving and tracking him with an exaggerated and confused look, as if to say: ʼWhy are you flying around like a fly?”

”Can you stop, Heavengazer Encompassing Night? Youʼre making me dizzy,” Wei Wuyin commented with a sigh.

”...” Heavenly Seer Encompassing Night halted his movements. The somber air intensified within the cage. ”Your other dealings. Iʼll be honest: I have no idea how you got the Heaven-Saint Refining Skies on your side.”

Wei Wuyinʼs eyebrows slightly lifted with surprise. To the world, Heaven-Saint Refining Skies had a great degree of justified dislike for him, acting very uncooperative during his establishment, and even seemingly hostile. After the Game of Mystics, the Zenith Refinement Tower suffered heavily.

During the discussions leading to the All-Alchemic Clash, Heaven-Saint Zenith Refinement was a core proponent of its formation, all born out of obvious malicious intent to crush and humiliate. There was zero evidence of any collusion to be found.

”Out of all the Heaven-Saints, Heaven-Saint Refining Skies failed all three of his concoctions of the Edict Potion. Then, he reached the 1% Impurity of the Abstruse Spiritforce Pill. Out of all the alchemists present there, Heaven-Saint Refining Skies is the most talented with Pill Concoction, and he could overcome the hardest aspect of the Edict Potion. By slowing down and taking his time, he could have ensured a completed product at least once.

”He was the one who suggested the Blank Dominion, and then didnʼt object to adding a temporal environment detrimental to typical alchemical concoction.

”To others, his acting must have been impeccable. To me? It was easily seen through. But I canʼt understand—how?” Heavenly Seer Encompassing Night asked as he was genuinely confused. He had already confirmed that there was no transaction between the two, and there was no link.

When did they even communicate?

According to his investigation, they hadnʼt; the Neo-Dawn Ascension Emperor and Heaven-Saint Refining Skies had never exchanged a single sentence in private, and their public engagement was very, very limited. In fact, every action Wei Wuyin had taken since arriving in the Utmost Purity Galaxy, within the Utmost Purity Galaxy, was followed by many organizations.

The Archanids had gotten caught being too invasive and were taught a lesson that none of them felt needed to be interfered with. The rest only used indirect means and stayed far away during any cultivation or private sessions. If Wei Wuyin wanted privacy, no one thought of violating it.

Yet those private moments did not coincide with Heaven-Saint Refining Skiesʼ movements in the slightest, and they were few and far between. The monitoring of them both was immaculate and without any sign of errors, and if there was an absence of presence that coincided, he could have concluded that that period was their interaction.

Even then, their interaction should have given birth to a karmic tie, leaving behind evidence of their collusion. But not a single tie could be located, and this wasnʼt a byproduct of Wei Wuyinʼs Blessed status either. The observation of Karmic Ties and prediction of a Blessedʼs trajectory was the trademark of certain Seers that relied on Blessed to elevate their cultivation, and while he didnʼt pursue that path, he was familiar with the various indirect divination spells.

Wei Wuyin smilingly scoffed, shaking his head with amusement visible in his eyes.

”...” Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night was unable to deduce how this happened.

Wei Wuyin wasnʼt about to answer. Why should he satisfy someoneʼs curiosity without reason? To brag? How pointless.

Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night could sense that Wei Wuyinʼs patience was running thin. ”How about an exchange of information?”

”Oh?” Wei Wuyinʼs interest was piqued.

”Youʼre going back to your abode to bed that young woman with the Catalyst Body, correct?” Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night asked rhetorically, continuing with a little pause: ”Tell me how you acquired Heaven-Saint Refining Skiesʼ assistance, and Iʼll tell you an important detail that youʼll regret not knowing regarding that young woman.”

”...” Wei Wuyinʼs eyes narrowed sharply.

”...” The Supreme Seer remained silent and stationary, quietly waiting for Wei Wuyin to decide.

Contemplating this briefly, Wei Wuyin decided. ”If the information is lacking, you should be prepared to leave behind something significant.”

”It wonʼt be,” despite the indifferent, echoing voice, the confidence within was unmistakable.

”So be it. The first move was made even before the chessboard was set up for the next game.” After answering this, the indifferent voice of Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night shockingly exclaimed with a soft tone, seemingly finding the answer.

”When did you…” He was flabbergasted.

”Enough. Tell me.” Wei Wuyinʼs patience was already thin, and this was because Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night was here for this. ʼYou came here not to probe, but to inform me of this. Why all the need for this bluster and posturing? Who are you trying to fool?ʼ

”...Fine.” Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night accepted his words, and then explained: ”Sheʼs a Pure Catalyst of Three Principles, one of three rarest Catalyst Bodies in existence.”

”...” Wei Wuyin was silent and sighed. ”I know that already.”

”...” The Heavengazer of the Utmost Purity Galaxy was unable to answer. He slowly asked, ”You understand what that means?”

Rubbing his forehead, Wei Wuyin felt an urge to draw his saber.

”Then you must know that the woman known as Xi Ning has the relatively common Spirit Catalyst of Origin Evolution, and Shang Wanqing—”

”I know. I already know. Tell me what you felt the need to come here and say, or leave behind an arm.” Wei Wuyinʼs hand moved to his saber at his waist, touching the hilt with his forefinger and index finger. A soft saber howl slowly thrummed to life.

”...!” Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night felt a sensation of deadly crisis besiege his senses. With a soft breath, he no longer tried to explain things thoroughly, directly saying: ”Should you decide to cultivate using her, be sure that the Three Principles to infuse into her body have no disharmony. While it is one of the rarest bodies, there have been six others like her; not a single person seeking to use that Catalyst Body in the Holy Void of Fortune was able to survive.

”This includes a Daoseed Seeker, a true Cardinal Sage. I recommend you avoid intermixing Intents and Laws, and avoid dual-cultivating with her. If you decide on coitus without dual-cultivation, seal your Primal Yang Source and tether your Spirit of Cultivation to an existing Dominion within the Utmost Purity Galaxy beforehand. Thatʼs all I have to say.”

After saying this, the Supreme Sage vanished into the Dark Void.

Wei Wuyin watched as he fled. However, he didnʼt force him to leave anything behind. After all, despite the posturing and probing, the Supreme Seer intended to warn him to be careful. That in and of itself was enough to earn some goodwill, regardless of his hidden intentions.

”This…I already knew this.”

For others, they should tread cautiously with Yue Songli but not him.

It was time to complete their two-year dateʼs last goal!
