Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1866 Chapter 1858: Heavenly Worlds

”Pompous asshat!” Bai Lin cursed without restraint. She had pure distaste for this Heavengazer. From the beginning to the end of this verbal exchange, he was excessively posturing with an all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-important demeanor.

”Haha! Isnʼt that a little mean?” Wei Wuyin laughed without any tension in his voice.

”Hmph!” Bai Lin soared through the Dark Void with a foul light in her eyes, brimming with unspoken insults.

Initially, Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night started the conversation by shrouding them in a horrifying darkness, hiding his visage, silhouette, and position while his voice resounded mysteriously across this cage. Then, he systematically revealed information to paint himself as a fountain of omnipotent knowledge to eke out awe and surprise from Wei Wuyin.

He failed on both fronts. Not only had Wei Wuyin and Bai Lin located him with an obvious showing, but Wei Wuyin remained entirely unshaken in the slightest by his exposure of information. Unable to gain leverage, he resorted to baiting Wei Wuyin with a need as if he wanted him to ask or beg to know. Again, he was suppressed by Wei Wuyinʼs killing intent and gradual loss of patience.

He fled soon after.

”He wanted to negotiate with you, and yet he tried to scheme and dance around like an overconfident chimpanzee! Why didnʼt you let me burn him to a crisp?” Bai Linʼs anger was justified. Her intelligence was extraordinary, and while she hadnʼt acquired Edenʼs Akashic Abilities originating from his Magi lineage, able to read thoughts, she was very sensitive to emotions.

While he didnʼt have Celestial Eyes to perceive that shady Heavengazer, she did have a unique form of sensing mental fluctuations acquired from their unity of energy, essence, blood, and soul. Heaven-Seer Encompassing Nightʼs concealments were impeccable, and not even ordinary Soul Perception could track him, but those mental fluctuations were like a lighthouse in the darkest night where no other intelligent lifeforms existed to the both of them. Bai Lin had pinpointed him time and time again from those fluctuations.

Wei Wuyin furrowed his eyebrows, ”Information is valuable. Our initial deal was completed, and he wanted to leverage that connection to create a foundation to establish another deal. If I had to make a guess, he wanted me to showcase interest in his knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge, seeking his assistance for a purpose of my own.”

”Alchemy?” Bai Lin focused immediately, her anger replaced by solemn contemplation.
”Likely.”

”He wanted you to make him a retainer?” Bai Lin asked with a spark of curiosity.

Wei Wuyin didnʼt nod or shake his head. Instead, he softly hummed thoughtfully in his throat before speaking: ”During our deal, Iʼve inadvertently revealed that my Neo-Dawn Empire doesnʼt have any competent—no, high-level Seers. Wen Mingna and Ming Shufeng are still developing. Even then, their specialty of divination was leveraging heavenʼs fortune for themselves or others, not specifically scrying, interference, concealment, or predicting calamities. They ride the backs of Sons and Daughters of Heaven, and specialize in finding, assisting, and protecting them.

”Their seer lineage only covers a portion of a Seerʼs true power. Meanwhile, Heaven-Seer Encompassing Nightʼs specialty is widely-known for distortion and concealment. If I had to form a theory on their legacyʼs foundation, itʼs likely leading others unknowingly into unseen calamities or losing out on heavenly opportunities altogether, perhaps even stealing opportunities.”

”...” Bai Linʼs own brows furrowed. ”Does he think youʼre like those others? Those blessed by the heavens?”

Wei Wuyin sighed. At their level, it was easy to determine who was favored by the heavens. Some were extremely lucky, but others were overtly protected and guided by an unseen hand, even affecting those around them.

There was no way that Su Yi didnʼt know he was a favored Son of Heaven, even if his ego wanted to attribute his wild success to his own efforts. This was true for every individual who has reached the Resonant Soul Realm or that level of power. Theyʼre Soul Perception granted them unfathomable senses to the movements of heaven, and if the Heavenly Daos didnʼt masquerade its actions, it would be hard to deny the coincidences of fortune.

Not only was he a Blessed, his Bloodline of Sin: Pride had granted him an Empyrean status. He was THE favored Son of Heaven. At least in regards to the Blessed hierarchy. The Black Skeleton had told him as much, including how unfair the Heavenly Daos were.

Wei Wuyin had concrete evidence of this; during the Game of Mystics, Su Yiʼs luck was subpar despite his status as a Blessed, on the other hand, his luck that was decided by ʼpure chanceʼ was godly and rather excessive. He didnʼt have to put much effort into winning. He just had to not foolishly throw the game when it was so overwhelmingly in his favor.

Su Yi was ignored and abandoned, with all of fortune pushed to him without expending the slightest Karmic Luck Value.

While Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night might not primarily cultivate using Blessed as a springboard for his own cultivation, that didnʼt mean he wouldnʼt take advantage of the chance to do so. Wei Wuyin had demonstrated godly levels of good luck, and it was hard to hide given each situation he had orchestrated.

Wei Wuyin didnʼt openly admit his status as a Blessed, although he felt there wouldnʼt be an issue; he didnʼt want the Heavenly Daos to attempt to influence his mindset, only to be rebuked by Bloodline of Sinʼs protection.

”Even if we take a few steps back, Iʼm a Heavenly Alchemic Saint who defied typical convention and established an eighth Zenith Tower in the Utmost Purity Galaxy, recognized as a genuine Heavenly Saint Alchemist by the Zeniths, so associating with me or becoming my designated Seer would only benefit him. Thereʼs no reason to dislike him for making the bid for that spot after I exposed my lack of one. Although his methods are a little lacking.” Wei Wuyin chortled as his gaze lifted, observing the Incinerated Dominion that was surrounded.

He was keeping close tabs on this forbidden region. The Ascendants within were still cultivating, needing some time to digest their gains, especially Shui Fengbao. This Heavenly World was a genuine blessed land for him. Alongside the blessing of the Heavenly Awakening of a Supreme Saint, he was making leaps and bounds in terms of cultivation progress.

Beloved by the Heavenly Law of Fire in body and mind was an extreme understatement.

Wei Wuyin sensed a terrifyingly fiery will intrude onto the Void, integrating, burning, and growing. ʼVoid Soul Intent…ʼ

The Incinerated Dominion was a holy land that allowed Shui Fengbao to soar like a tiger with wings.

Bai Lin sensed his gaze. ”Can I go there?” A Heavenly World with the foundation of the Heavenly Realm of Fire Law would greatly benefit her.

”No. When Su Yi destroys it, Iʼll ensure you obtain a piece.” Wei Wuyin immediately rejected her desire to involve herself. There were many Supreme Sages, Enlightened Sages, True Sages, and organizations eyeing the Incinerated Dominion.

”Destroy? Su Yi?” Bai Lin was taken aback.

Wei Wuyinʼs eyes narrowed. ”None of these Supreme Existences are ignorant or fools, nor would they invest too much in obtaining Su Yiʼs secrets that may or may not benefit them directly. Theyʼre waiting for Su Yi to detonate the core of the Heavenly World, escaping amidst the chaos.”

”Detonate the core? I donʼt understand,” Bai Lin pouted. Her depth of understanding in regards to cultivation was lacking, and she couldnʼt understand why Su Yi was going to destroy the core. Wasnʼt the Supreme Sages surrounding the Incinerated Dominion, putting external pressure on it so it could explode? When did it suddenly become Su Yi destroying the Incinerated Dominion?

”The Incinerated Dominion is the Microheaven of a fallen Supreme Sage acting as the core of their Internal World—a Heavenly World. It is a metaphysical space that emulates the ecosystem of the universe, allowing it to become a blessed environment where they can store and nurture treasures and materials.

”If the Astral Core Realmʼs basis is to birth a Solar Star with a Star Soul, harnessing its power as your own, and the Mystic Ascendant Realm was integrating the Will of Mortal and Mystic Forces within this Solar Star, expanding and strengthening its territory—the physique, then the Resonant Soul Realm was connecting and emulating the functions of the heavens by using the foundation of energy gained through the four realms prior.

”The Microheaven of a Supreme Sage was nearly impossible to destroy by an external force of equal cultivation, and it had its natural protections that made it dangerous for other Supreme Existences to enter. Meanwhile, it fuels the Internal World that envelops it, but if the core was detonated, think of a Devil War Realmʼs core explosion, the explosion would fragment the Heavenly World and send out its quintessential energies and essences outwards.

”Su Yi has gained the alliance of a demon born from a fragment of the Heavenly World, and it seems to have the ability to influence it, protecting Su Yi from threats and preventing Supreme Sages from trying to invade. Theyʼre waiting for it to become desperate, placing it under immense external pressure, to leave it no choice but to detonate the core.” After finishing his explanation, Wei Wuyinʼs Celestial Eyes noticed a warping of space, forming a tunnel as they shifted across, blazing a trail in his direction.

Someone was coming.

Why is everyone trying to delay him from forming a union with Yue Songli?

Bai Linʼs eyes glowed with a greedy light. ”So the fragments of the Heavenly World are valuable?”

Wei Wuyin gently touched Bai Lin. She instinctively slowed down, yet her attention was yearning for his answer. He could only chuckle and reply, ”A Heavenly Worldʼs quintessential energies and essences would be Mystic-Heaven grade. Moreover, where do you think Mystic-Heaven grade Essence Stones come from?”

Normally, the various Supreme Existences would avoid the Incinerated Dominion due to the dangers and difficulties of exploring or conquering it. They instead used it as a blessed ground to send brave souls seeking opportunities, and then trade with those lucky enough to survive if they find anything valuable.

After all, what use would a Rune King, World Emperor, or Original Magistrate have with raw Mystic-Heaven grade materials? Not even Sages could effectively use them. It would be no different than trying to refine molten lead as a mere mortal.

This practice was executed in every galaxy. Forbidden Regions that were Heavenly Worlds were extremely dangerous yet also treasure troves.

”Oh!” Bai Lin was enlightened. So upon detonation of the core, it would be a free-for-all for Mystic-Heaven grade materials, essence stones, and the like? She was immediately invested! As a beast, she could digest raw materials with ease, unlike cultivators and their Spirits of Cultivation.

”Hm?” She sensed someone coming.
