Paragon Of Sin

1855 Chapter 1848: Final Act (22)

”What? What? What?! What happened?!?!” Heaven-Saint Transforming Worldsʼ youthful features were distorted as a frantic energy bled through his voice, desperate and wanting, like a starving man led to a scrumptious platter of top-notch food, only to discover that the food and its smell were illusions.

The young Heavenly Saint Alchemist wasnʼt the only soul disturbed by the event. The Heavenly Awakening of a Supreme Sage was life-defining and rarely occurred, so everyone was already using every perception and sensory spell available to discover the elusive ʼwhyʼ.

Those whoʼve acquired notable and reputable achievements in the Alchemic Dao, specifically attaining a pair of Alchemic Stars imbued within their will and soul, were capable of tracing the activity of the Alchemic Dao.

”Itʼs been moved?” Heaven-Saint Growing Immortality, the Heavenly Saint Alchemist with the undisputed highest cultivation base amongst the Zeniths, discovered the reason instantly. The activity hadnʼt ceased, but was still ongoing. Simply not here.

Not in the Utmost Purity Galaxy.

No, not entirely here.

But…how?!

HOW???

Heaven-Saint Refining Skies was on the verge of madness, his eyes filled with blood-red veins as he had executed a vital-consuming art to amplify his meridianʼs ability to receive various blessings, drawing greater gains than others. Unfortunately, his rapid execution of his art left no results as he was howling with a closed mouth, utterly enraged with crimson eyes. He had lost 5,000 years of his life in a single go, yet had nothing to show for it!
He wasnʼt the only one among the crowd who had taken one-time usage or extreme methods, with a few deploying extraordinarily fascinating talismans that could draw in various mysterious energies, essences, and forces towards them, even if it was only a 5% increase over normal.

It was so hectic that Wei Wuyinʼs words had been ignored.

Luo Ning was no longer present; she was transported elsewhere during the earlier chaos before the Alchemic Daoʼs Heavenly Awakening blessing took effect. She was already back at the Neo-Dawn Original Palace with the others, enjoying the generous benefits of a Heavenly Awakening.

”Where did it go?! It was just HERE! I FELT IT!!” A True Sage-level expert roared harshly outside the Blank Dominion. The explosive roar blasted into the Blank Dominion, and the gradually recovering openings burrowed through by the alchemic light earlier allowed it to reach those within.

Heaven-Saint Fusing Souls had the darkest and cloudiest facial expression as his Alchemic Stars repeatedly flashed a distinct seven-colored brilliance. After a short while, ignoring the chaos outside and within, his once-withered gaze now brimmed with a focused energy and a tenacious ferocity as he found Wei Wuyin holding a bottle forged of the Alchemic Daoʼs purest alchemical energies.

It was important to know that Alchemical Energies and Alchemical Essence couldnʼt be naturally created. It needed a medium. Those at their level knew this had to do with alchemy coming after the heavens had formed, not before. Because of this detail, no matter how inconsequential it was to its power, it was the core reason why the world had no naturally occurring energies and resources.

The existing alchemical energies or essences either came from alchemists or cultivators using their metaphysical energies to emulate the Alchemic Daoʼs quintessential principles and powers. Yet, the vial that Wei Wuyin held could be regarded as alchemical quintessential energy, the purest and truest source of power of the Alchemic Dao.

It wasnʼt uncommon, but during Alchemical Awakenings of the Saints, there was a chance that Alchemic Treasures were born, the item equivalent to a Heavenly Treasure. This chance increased with higher-tiered Awakenings, with an almost zero chance during Earthly Awakenings, and a very small chance for Worldly Awakenings.

However, Heavenly Awakenings had a far greater chance of birthing a treasure, and it was almost guaranteed if an alchemist attained their promotion via a proper product, unlike false Heavenly Saint Alchemists. The difference between possessing an Alchemic Treasure or not after your alchemical awakening determined whether you were capable of becoming a Zenith or not. These treasures were the foundation for the Zeniths in the entire galactic cluster, justifying their authority as the apex of the Alchemic Dao.

Wei Wuyinʼs seven-colored vial was an Alchemic Treasure that was baffling to observe. With a single glance, Heaven-Saint Fusing Souls could tell that the vial exceeded every Alchemic Treasure that he had ever seen in his entire life.

Unbeknownst to him, the fact that it could store a sea of energy that contained eternal, unfathomable, and mundane properties vastly exceeded a simple Alchemic Treasure. A wisp of greed surged in his heart, flowing as green light in his eyes, yet he suppressed these emotions wholeheartedly.

”World-Sain—Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn…” Heaven-Saint Fusing Souls was unable to swiftly adjust, but there was a hint of doubt in his eyes. He wasnʼt the only one. How did this foreigner possibly attain the dao here when he was concocting using…nothing?

”What did you do to the Heavenly Awakening?!” Suo Kai-Ming bared her fangs and claws, her expression gloomy to the maximum. She was frustrated just as much as everyone else, desperation in her eyes. When it came to Heavenly Awakenings of a Supreme Saint, the alchemist who generated the phenomena did not receive any blessing. At most, their will or Intent of the Alchemic Dao—their Alchemic Stars—advanced from the Alchemic Stars of Spiritual Transcendence to the Alchemic Stars of Transcendent Purity.

And that was at most.

Not every Heavenly Saint Alchemist gains that recognition on their first go. The Ocular Intent of the Alchemic Dao wasnʼt so easily acquired, but their Alchemic Stars of Spiritual Transcendence would be boosted in strength, far stronger than a non-Heavenly Saint Alchemist. In the eyes of Alchemists, the recognition of the Alchemic Dao was akin to the realms of cultivation, and the foundation was the number of the seven requirements to attain their respective Alchemic Stars.

The more of the seven they accomplished, the higher the quality of their Ocular Intent of the Alchemic Dao! This was why Suo Kai-Ming felt confident after suppressing Wei Wuyin back then. While the latter portrayed such weakness appropriately, this would often happen amongst alchemists of varying levels.

Wei Wuyin gave Suo Kai-Ming a leveled stare, ”As the Emperor of my galactic empire, how could I possibly leave the benefits of my Heavenly Awakenings for a galaxy that I have yet to establish myself in? Iʼve sent the force of the Alchemic Dao through void channels, sending the blessing to the Sky Heart Galaxy, the Abyssal White Galaxy, the Resolute Dusk Galaxy—my vassals, and of course my own galaxy.”

To the surprise of everyone, Wei Wuyin openly explained his actions! He seemed entirely unconcerned by their venomous gazes laced with hatred as if he had stolen their wives.

”...” Suo Haoranʼs left eyelid twitched.

”...eek!” The Goliath Bird Sovereign emitted a strange oral sound.

”...!” Suo Kai-Ming had the urge to bite into Wei Wuyinʼs flesh and chew until her anger was abated.

The core issue was that Wei Wuyinʼs explanation was…justified!

While the Heavenly Awakening was a great blessing, the majority of promoted Heavenly Saint Alchemists restricted access, doing rapid dealings with Supreme Sages or forces to allow others to enjoy at the edges of its presence. The problem was that…the Heavenly Awakening of the Supreme Sage that Wei Wuyin had called forth, despite not seeing it in its completed, fully-erupted state, engulfed the entire galaxy.

This was unprecedented!

It was strong enough to breach the Blank Dominionʼs spatial shell! This was a Microheaven! A genuine Heavenly World of a Resonant Soul Realm expert who had fallen! Moreover, it was specially cultivated to prohibit non-permitted forces from coming in, out, or being born within.

At most, a typical Heavenly Awakening of the Supreme Sage would reach a galactic zone, maybe two. Not the ENTIRE galaxy!

That said, they couldnʼt say for sure that the Heavenly Awakening in its bestowal of fortune would have covered the galaxy. So even on that point, they could only concede as they couldnʼt complete. After all, they would come off as freeloaders and beggars.

As a foreigner from beyond, with three galaxies that had surrendered to his empirical rule, there was little else they could say or argue about if he sought to isolate the blessing to his personal and loyal forces.

Wei Wuyin brightly grinned. In the eyes of Heaven-Saint Transforming Worlds, it felt devilish to an extreme.

”I offer my congratulations, Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn.” The Incandescent Star Palace Lord was the first to come forward and extend his congratulations.

Immediately, a flood of spiritual and verbal transmissions echoed throughout the world. They were all filled with congratulations. Now, Wei Wuyin had unexpectedly entered the stage of an apex Alchemist, fully earning their respect and the desire.

The one that was genuinely shaken, unable to even think straight, was Dongfang Yue; she had the intuitive feeling that Wei Wuyin was a Mystic Star Phase cultivator whose age was fully exposed earlier. Unlike the others, she was unable to comprehend the event. Furthermore, Wei Wuyinʼs incessant usage of Alchemic Mystic Force only furthered her beliefs!

A Heavenly Saint Alchemist who was only a few hundred years old? A Heavenly Saint Alchemist at the Mystic Star Phase of cultivation? A Mystic Star Phase cultivator with the strength of a Supreme Sage?

What in the actual f…

She felt as if the entire world should be reacting with a greater intensity than they were. How incomprehensible was this? All these congratulations yet they were missing the most crucial points!

”How did you concoct an Edict Potion from nothing? Your materials were all absent of energy and essence.” Golden Night Sovereign asked after everyone, including the Zeniths, had given out their proper congratulations and various invitations to their respective galaxies.

She could sense in the eyes of these lesser galaxies, they were somewhat hopeful that they might be able to become vassals too. While this was an individual thought for them, an idle wish that was impossible given their circumstances, the fact that they were even thinking of it was incredibly dangerous! However, she didnʼt bother with all that.

”Nothing?” Wei Wuyin tilted his head innocently as he swished the liquid within his seven-colored vial. ”You all saw me concoct the Edict Potion right in front of you. You saw every step. I hid nothing. What do you mean—from nothing?” The Edict Potion was undeniable proof that it was concocted, and the Heavenly Awakening could only be emulated by a Heavenly Saint Alchemist.

Every alchemist present could sense that Wei Wuyin had acquired the appropriate recognition as a Heavenly Saint Alchemist. Earlier, it was only at the Worldly Saint Alchemist level. There was no falsifying that truth.

”Did you transmodify your materials that made their energy and essences undetectable unless observed by a specific sensory spell?” The Golden Night Sovereign asked with narrowed eyes.

”You can say that,” Wei Wuyin didnʼt refute that action. However, since he had done it openly, if they thought he would explain his process in detail, that was entirely impossible. The Alchemical Oath that they swore was enough to uphold his commitment to the rules. Everything else was superfluous curiosity and questioning, meaning nothing in the grand scheme of things.

”Fascinating…” The Incandescent Star Palace Lord exclaimed genuinely from his heart. The act of transmogrifying materials with strange effects wasnʼt entirely unheard of. Often it was to assist in the concoction process, and in some cases, transmutation was performed where ore was turned into solid gold for the sake of purifying the golden essence within.

The Alchemical Method that Wei Wuyin had deployed had avoided all of their perceptions. That was outstanding. A true show of exceptional Alchemic Dao! Since Wei Wuyin was a foreigner, his methods and Alchemic Dao were bound to be equally as foreign.

They had more or less accepted that Wei Wuyinʼs empire existed outside the galactic cluster, isolated from the thirty-three active galaxiesʼ main societies. Considering their in-depth knowledge of these galaxies, it was the only possibility that made sense. It could belong to an ancient Dominion of a Supreme Sage or an isolated World Realm that was within the Void-Blank Space or hidden away within a galaxy.

It wasnʼt as if they hadnʼt encountered those outside their galactic cluster or in unique worlds. Simply the vast distance or challenges to enter made things…difficult in regards to communication and travel.

”Letʼs not dwell on such insignificant matters. End this round! Weʼve waited long enough,” Heaven-Saint Refining Skies was adjusting his condition after his harmful execution of his art, expelling out a few wads of congested blood from his chest. He simply wanted to move on, the grudge in his eyes towards Wei Wuyin was fully cemented.

Regardless of his methods, all of it would become theirs after his loss. Why bother glazing over any of it?

The next step was steadily and rapidly performed. Wei Wuyin had forfeited the two other sets, and they judged the Edict Potion.

They were taken aback by the Alchemic Treasure, but since only those three Supreme Sages, who werenʼt Heavenly Saint Alchemists, were inspecting the vial, they couldnʼt discern its inherent qualities and alchemical abilities outside of possessing a unique storage function that can contain pills, potions, pellets, and pastes without corrosion.

”What will you name this treasure of yours?” The Incandescent Star Palace Lord asked.

Wei Wuyin pondered for a while, and then he smiled excitedly. ”Alchemic-Dawn Vial of the Unparalleled Paragon.”

”...” Audience.

”...” Supreme Sages.

”...” Zeniths.

Wei Wuyin chortled, ”The Alchemic-Dawn Vial for short.”

ʼSo incredibly arrogant!ʼ This was the thought of everyone who heard the name ʼUnparalleled Paragonʼ!

The Incandescent Star Palace Lord laughed heartily, ”I like it!”

Then, praise filled the air from everyone, excluding the Zeniths and their Dao Enforcers. Wei Wuyin was showered for his creative naming sense that was courageous and ambitious! Of course, behind this bountiful rain of praise were countless rolling eyes… [Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawnʼs Results]:

—1st Set: SUCCESS!

—2nd Set: FORFEIT!

—3rd Set: FORFEIT!

After declaring the results, the quality of each completed product was measured side-by-side.

And what happened…left them all shook!

”By overcoming four or more Zeniths, the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint has claimed this round!!

”2nd Round: Potion—2-0, Neo-Dawn!!!”
